    Nice work so far, I've replaced the bars part of XRS with this. (Still using XRS for afk/offline count and buffs.)

    I was wondering if the tooltips could update once every second or something? I was watching for mana last night, and it wasn't changing until I clued inI had to let the tooltip go away & recreate it. XRS did this, so I assume you could "steal" the code form there if needed. :)

    posted a message on Ace3: AceConfig3, table issues with "input" type's parameters
    Best I could come up with is:

      s = {
        type = "input",
        name = "set a person's DKP",
        desc = "Sets a person's DKP value.",
        get = false,
        set = function(a, args)
          local name, amount = self:GetArgs(args, 2)

          self:setDKP(name, amount)
          end,
        validate = function(a, args)
          local name, amount = self:GetArgs(args, 2)

          if (name == nil) or (tonumber(amount) == nil) then
            return "usage: /bid setdkp name ##"
          end

          return true
          end,
        guiHidden = true,
      },

    Meh - sloppy, and annoying, as I have to repeat this parsing everywhere. Hopefully I am just missing something obvious.

    posted a message on Ace3: AceConfig3, table issues with "input" type's parameters
    (My terminology is poor, sorry about that.)

    I want an "s" command available to the user, which has two parameters. A name (string) and a number.

    My problem is that I cannot separate the parameters (without resorting to doing it myself, which wasn't necessary in Ace2, where I used input = true).

    My entry in the table:

      s = {
        type = "input",
        name = "set a person's DKP",
        desc = "Sets a person's DKP value.",
        usage = "person ##",
        get = false,
        set = function(info, person, amount)
            self:setDKP(person, amount)
           end,
        pattern = "%w+ %d+",
        validate = function(info, person, amount)
              if (person == nil) or (amount == nil) or (tonumber(amount) == nil) then
                return "usage: /bid setdkp person ##"
              end

              return true
              end,
        guiHidden = true,
      },

    So, if the user types something like:

    /bid s abc 123

    the second parameter to set(..) (person) is "abc 123", while amount remains nil. I am probably missing something obvious, but after a night of beating my head on this & referring to the documentation, I am still unsuccessful. Yes, I tried type = "execute" and using the input = true as described on that page, but that generated an error, as input is not understood for "execute", nor does "execute" seem to allow any parameter passing.

    Quick whack with the clue stick really appreciated. :)

    Minor request. When I am on my farmer (miner/herbalist), and I switch to another character, I am seeing the last seen route I added on the new character. Could this be removed/hidden from the character that cannot use the route? :) Thanks.

    Hmm, having issues getting it above 68.5 atm. No raid tonight, but running some instances, hopefully that will push it up more.

    I'll do a bit better (at work atm, but when I get home) ..

    I will mouse over PerformanceFu, and sort by memory usage, and take a screenshot. Probably at least 4-5 hours from now (I get off in ~3.5 hours), as I will probably have to spend some time in game to get the usage that high.

    Err, make that UsageFu, not PerformanceFu. My bad. :)

    I believe I do, unfortunately. I'll watch the numbers, but I am pretty sure I am dropping from ~120MiB to ~40. The memory usage doesn't phase me, it's the "hitching" or "lurching" or "pausing" or whatever you want to call it.

    Slowly degrading performance (this seems negligible to me) over many hours doesn't phase me, especially since I've never noticed such a thing. I am noticing the unnecessary (imo) pausing, which is what I want to eliminate. I am hoping not to have to resort to removing/disabling the (I am guessing) 3-4 "memory hogging" mods, as I do find them useful (or they wouldn't be installed in the first place).

    Aye, I recall the thread - I tried searching, but there was a lot of static. Appreciate it if you find anything.

    *EDIT - Yeah, I still can't find the thread I had in mind. Someone was giving some commands to use to imitate the "upcoming" 2.1 memory management, and I was hoping to essentially reverse those variables back to previous values.

    I thought setting one's max mem size to 0, had that side effect? (I realize it's the cap of memory allowed in-game by mods, but for some reason, I was under the impression it would prevent GC from ever happening as well?)

    Unless that changed with this patch, it most certainly does not.

    I've gone many (8+) hours without clicking on PerformanceFu to force a garbage collection, and I've never had the "hitch" I have when garbage cleanup occurs. (Previously, my max mem size was set to 0.)

    Ragardless, I plan on controlling my garbage collection manually, before a boss pull, etc.

    Is there a console command/variable that can be set now to disable garbage cleanup? I have way more memory than I know what to do with, and 0 issues with hitting ~100+ mb used. However, I am noticing the old pause from garbage cleanup happening. It's irritating, especially in the middle of a boss fight. =\

    When a raid is formed, would it be possible to autopromote all those that were in the group prior to the raid being formed (and eligible, of course)? :)

    Would it be reasonable to exclude instances from waypoint z-xxx searches? I can't think of a reason I'd want to set a waypoint to something in an instance. Heck, since there's no position information available in an instance, does it make sense to even search them via z-xxx? Dunno. Throwing this out there.

    Just ahd another thought. On my herbalist. I'd like to be able to say /way felweed, and have it skip the one I am beside, so I can quickly go to the next closest one.
