Can you do segmenting yet? For boss fights?

Like sws has /sws reset FLK 1

    or /sws reset Al'ar 3

    etc...

still requesting this feature. Mod might as well be broken for me until I can do this.

Change the strata back to background, and then change the panel's level to 1, then back to 0.

Edit: it should be at level 0 by default, but panels don't reinforce their level when their parent changes. If you do a /reload, you'd see the panel behind the chat frame without having to change the panel's level. The new version of eePanels will update panel levels whenever the parent is changed.

I think I'll hold off on learning the parenting stuff until then :)

One thing I don't get. using the macro, I can get all sorts of names for frames. I got a ChatFrame1ResizeTop once. Is there a better way to get the parent I'm looking for?

Is there a list somewhere of most commonly parented frames?

I started trying to get some practice using 'parenting' and am trying to create a background and border for my chat frames.

So I figured out that the name for it was ChatFrame1 or something like that, and parented a new panel to that frame. It seemed to work. but the panel is either transparent, or compelete covers up chat. No matter which strat I put it on, or which background blend mode I use, its either one of those two things.

I read the Wiki and PDF guide included, but did not see any mention of that kind of problem.

I can't test this since I can't find the 'side' option when configuring altaura.

I need to say 'side - Top' and 'growth direction - Up'

    What am I missing?

dont think about pressing buttons, think about casting spells and know what keybind is what spell :P

Everry ability I use is keybound, but stuff on 2 min + CD's gets clicked. I don't have trinkets/pots long CD abilities keybound. I don't have group buffs keybound [I did have some selfbuffs keybound on my pally]

Keybinding is great, just not everything needs to be keybound IMHO

Just bumping this once to see if anyone who can, is interested in this, and would be willing to add the requested stuff to cartographer as a module of some sort. Thanks.

    Anyway, here's a feature list:
    - Major rewrite; less bloat, cleaner

Ima just wait for this to hit. I'm not doing much complicated stuff with eePanels right now, and might as well take advantage of the above.

    bongos2 is out

I will go check that out today probably :)

I wish I knew something about the writing of code to make evaluations for myself on stuff like what is being discussed in this thread.

I always assume 'certain' mods are 'good' because almost everyone here in the comunity seem to use them. Stuff like Quartz, Grid, Pitbull, BT3, Cartographer, Fubar,Omen, Big Wigs. I assume because I can't imagine that as many people as use them currently, would continue if they sucked.

But thats really the only way for me to judge a mod's 'goodness'. with all my mods running I use like 38 MB of addon memory. Most of the mods I use are Ace2, primarily for convenience of updating. This seems pretty high to me. Arkinventory takes up alot of memory, but I've come to rely terribly on its bag sorting features, and I don't really notice too much performance drop at all.

I'm the guy who gets the A in a raid to reset SWS, i run loggerhead as well as 2 others in the raid for WWS.

I just wonder how many mods I'm using that could replace with alternatives from other mods, not ace2 mods. The only reason I gravitated towards them, is the convenience, and also, somewhat, the overwhelming helpful community.

I almost wonder, I wish there was a forum, where we could post the mods we are using, and then based on their efficeincy, there could be suggestions made as to what MIGHT be a better mod to make a similar function. Not say 'wow, Closet Gnome sucks' but more 'outfitter is slightly more efficient at the expense of being slightly less featured' [i'm pretty sure that closet gnome is the smallest, and lightest 'item rack' type mod around]

Would my thoughts carry any merit if the addon author were to voluntarily submit the addon to this group of "experts" and any constructive criticism be kept between the author and said group? and once certain criteria are met this same group would assign a "seal" to the addon? - or am i just so out in space?

By doing that, you would effectively create an 'elite' class: the people who get to 'approve' addons, and the people who have addons that have been approved.

    <3 you tuller.

Bongo's is just about one of my favorite mods of all time! [although, about 5 months ago it broke my unit frames somehow, not really sure what was going on there at all and I had to make the switch to BT3]

I'm lazy and stupid. did your 'next gen' action bars come out?

    advanced features in the menu

    I'm sorry, I wasn't clear.

I don't understand the first thing about this. What resource is there [faq/wiki] that will help me to do this myself. Similar to the rules for Arkinventory? I know how to expose that function of eePanels, but I'm not sure how to make it happen.

is there a place I can be directed to to use the 'UI Parent' feature and have panels only show when certain other UI elements are up? Right now I basically know nothing about this, but would like to customize some stuff a bit more.

I've had a quick look over... what are the key differences between this implementation and the default pitbull one, besides the obvious configuration differences?

I recently added weapon buffs to the standard pitbull aura; you might want to merge that into your implementation too.

The difference is that the layout of the buff and debuff icons is done only when needed.

There are probably a few bugs, but otherwise it should be working exactly as the original version feature-wise. I may add features, but my idea behind this is the same as the patch I provided for PitBull_Aura, except it's provided as a module so it can be activated and de-activated at runtime.

Is this supposed to be run with Pitbull_Aura active?

I have reworked my patch to make it a standalone module of PitBull. It is now available under the name "PitBull_AltAura". The patch has been reworked quite a bit and is much less buggy.

I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow, so I won't be able to fix bugs for a week.

Please test and report here what your experience is.

I must be missing something, I couldn't find the option to put the aura's above my unit frames. I have a realtivly long unit frame which I show buffs/debuffs on my target frame. The alt-aura basically just didn't work at all for me. And although it was enabled, if the buffs were showing I could not get them to display attached to the top left corner of the target frame, growing up.
