Hi, i tried this addon with my german client, but i can't overwrite the default items. If i do so, close the config screen and reopen it all default item are back there.

    Any suggestions?

Are you typing the names in or linking them? It's meant to be linked.
I haven't made any gui for it, so it's all meant to be configured with chat commands.

Here's a question, is there even any benefit in switching a libram after you have begun a cast? I was under the impression your +heal value for a heal was the value when you began the cast and doesn't take into account an increase in +heal (from switching a libram) until the next cast?

Spells that are cast (not channeled) have their benefits calculated when they complete. Which means that with this addon you can have 3 librams and get full usage out of them without having to choose one over the other. There's also an option for having a default libram. So if you're judging or something similar then you can have that as default and it will switch to that if it is not appropriate to switch to any of the other three librams.

If you want to test it out, find your friendly neighbourhood Shaman who has spent some time in SSC. Make sure he or she has Totem of the Maelstrom. Get him or her to make a macro:
    /cast Lesser Healing Wave
    /equip Totem of the Maelstrom

Have him or her equip another totem and cast a LHW without using the macro. Note the mana cost. Then get him or her to cast a lesser healing wave using the macro. The highest rank LHW will be 24 mana cheaper than when not using the macro.

Another test includes an Arcane mage. Get him or her to build up stacks of Arcane Blast buff (which increases mana cost and decreases casting time. It stacks up to three times). When the stack is about to fade, get him or her to cast a new arcane blast (one that will land after the buff has faded). As long as the buff is gone when the spell lands the spell will have been cast at the buffed speed, but the mana cost will be as if there was no buff on there at all.

Librameister is an addon which will switch librams (or any item really, but it's made with librams in mind) based on some conditions thereby making sure you get maximum value out of your librams:
    • If you cast Holy Light
    • If you cast Flash of Light
    • If your target has Blessing of Light (or GBoL)

It's also possible to set a default item in case you don't cast any of these spells.

You can choose whether you want to enable switching for HL, FoL or BoL individually.

The goal is to be a very lightweight addon, which I think it is at the moment. However, it does switch items very frequently (potentially every time you cast a spell), so some inventory addons may cause UI lag because of resorting.

In game shortcuts are /librameister and /lm

The addon can now be found on http://files.wowace.com/Librameister/Librameister.zip or get it using your favorite addon-updater.

    Latest changes:
-Now uses textures instead of names to detect spells (it should now work in all locales even if it hasn't been translated)
    -Added localizations
-No longer tries to switch libram when you cast Divine Favor, Divine Illumination, Avenging Wrath or Righteous Fury
-Support for Libram of Mending (checks for the buff, will use it if you don't have the buff. I cannot test this feature myself. Please give feedback)
-Support for Flash of Light PVP Item (checks for the buff on the target, will use it if the target doesn't have the buff. I cannot test this feature myself. Please give feedback)
    -Toggle checks for PVP
-Toggle the option to override the check for BoL when casting either HL or FoL. Configurable individually for the two spells. (Created with Libram of Light vs Libram of Souls Redeemed in mind)
    -Disables sound when switching items

Is there some list over the different tags?

I'd like to have a display of dot uptime and another one which is something along the lines of (damageDone*0.05/manaRegennedByVampiricTouch).

I know WWS does this, I'm just curious if it's possible to do in game with Assessment,

Lately it seems that Spellreminder has gotten a serious performance problem in raids. I'm not sure if it's due to a conflict, or just the addon itself, but I was having huge memory gain and a spikey feeling when raiding last night.

After disabling Spellreminder it was gone.

I can't really test it out on progress raids, but when next week comes around I'll try to run only with spellreminder and see if the problem still persists.

Not a fix, but this is how I do it.

Use spellbinder to setup one of your profiles. Log out, make a copy of it and name it something like PVP-bindings.wtf then bind your PVE profile, and switch back and forth between the two.

It's not very pretty, but it gets the job done.

You're probably both right about there being potential downsides and risks with doing it this way, but it works for me. Since I only share between two accounts I guess that's not enough data to be noticeable.

posted a message on SpellReminder - Official Thread
There seems to be a bug where it tends to bring up bars on mobs that have already been killed. There was a similar bug earlier, but I'm not sure if it's the same one.

I'll test it tomorrow to see if that's the case, assuming we have a similar setup and I can reproduce the results.

I have two theories as for what happens. The first is that mob A dies before dot 1 has faded. The bar for dot 1 goes away, but when mob B has dot 2 applied, both bars appear.

Second theory is that spriest-one applies dot 1 to mob B. Then spriest-two applies dot 1 to mob B. The addon then shows the bar for dot 1 on mob A in addition to spriest-one's bar for dot 1 on mob B.

Is that the sinklib error or another one?

If you have personally had success with mount points or other NTFS features do tell.

Symlinks are great for *nix ppl.

I don't want to go into too much detail, since I don't want to be responsible for people fubar'ing their setup.

If anything goes wrong, I take no responsibility for it, whatsoever ;)

    But in general:
    - Make sure your drive is formatted in NTFS
    - Backup everything you're interested in having
    - Set a system restore point
    - Install some piece of software like "Hardlink Shell extension" or similar
    - Decide which account you'd like to keep the settings of (this account will be referred to as accuont A - the other will be account B)
    - Delete the savedvariable file of account B
    - Make a hard link to the savedvariable file of account A

That should mean you're set (I use this personally with Auctioneer and Sanity... and maybe MoneyFu). One thing to watch out for! If you're using both accounts at the same time, then the one which exits last will be saved. The other one will not be saved, so it's not great if you're used to running around with two accounts open on the same machine.

I've just now decided to try using junction points and just have one directory. Which, in theory, would mean that the accounts will share setup.

edit: If the junction point thing works, I'll try to write up a how-to on it. Though I have no idea how Blizzard looks upon it, I can't really imagine there being any big issues with it, since it doesn't provide any advantage in game.

edit2: I misread the whole topic and the first post of this thread when I started. So both my posts are slightly off topic. My apologies for that. Using links as described above are a good way of sharing savedvariables across accounts :)

Assuming you're running on Windows you should look into soft links for files.

If you're running on Linux, you should look into symlinks. Without knowing I assume OSX has symlinks as well, since it's based on Unix.

Basically they will allow you to have two file locations but only one real file.

More importantly it won't be affected by updating your addons, etc.

For a general description of symbolic- and soft links look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbolic_link

It does take into account set bonuses (tier sets only), but there is no way right now to detect them (I am working on this piece).

Xus over at www.fortegaming.com has implemented a feature in his ForteWarlock which checks for the Voidheart set. Perhaps his code will give you some pointers?

Just thought I'd say that I find this addon awesome, especially now that the error messages seem to be gone.

We've gotten almost all the ressers in our raids to use it, and it's definately reduced the amount of time wasted on double-resses.
