    ...
    Also wouldn't WoW return an error if it was looking for the texture in the wrong place? For example "no such texture exists" yada yada.

    That was the idea in messing up the path .. there doesnt come any error. So in my opinion, the addon isnt trying to call the texture properly.
    And now we come to the great question:
    It does it, when i am dead ... but not with a "normal" waypoint e.g. in Shattrath. What is the difference in the code ?

    Ok, i downloaded it again, and keept it "packed" ... i didnt changed the folders only modified the Waypoints.lua.
    I changed the lines to:
    local function createWaypointFrame()
    	path = debugstack(1, 1, 0)
    	if path:find("grapher\\") then
    		path = "Interface\\AddOns\\Cartographer\\Cartographer_Waypoints\\nonsense\\Arrow"
    	elseif path:find("grapher_Waypoints\\") then
    		path = "Interface\\AddOns\\Cartographer_Waypoints\\nonsense\\Arrow"
    	else
    		error("Cannot determine path of artwork")
    	end

    Started the "fresh" WoW ... and everything was the same.
    I set a note in the area i was, marked it as a waypoint, and got the distance and the name of the point.
    No error message.

    Ok, you may remember the problem with the not existing arrow.

    I messed now around today to find the problem ... i didnt found it yet, but i thought to tell you the steps i have done:

    1. I deactivated all addons, except of Cartographer and its modules. ---> no arrow
    2. I did a back-up, deleted wtf and and the AddOn folder, downloaded manually cartographer, let the lod run and started the game again. ---> no arrow
    3. With this new installation, i first messed around with the graphik setting of WoW. I set everything on "on" and on high quality. ---> no arrow

    With these 3 points, i came to the conclusion, that the error cant be caused by something else than cartographer or a library of it.
    So i began to take a look into your source-code.
    Well, i am not a "pro" with programming, but if i am not wrong this is the code for calling the "arrow-frame":
    (Line 350) local function createWaypointFrame()
    	  path = debugstack(1, 1, 0)
    	  if path:find("grapher\\") then
       (Line 353)   path = "Interface\\AddOns\\Cartographer\\Cartographer_Waypoints\\Artwork\\Arrow"
    	elseif path:find("grapher_Waypoints\\") then
       (Line 355)	path = "Interface\\AddOns\\Cartographer_Waypoints\\Artwork\\Arrow"
    	else
    		error("Cannot determine path of artwork")
    	end

    So, if i understood it right, the program takes first a look for the "packed-cartographer" ... the path would be then "Line 353".
    If i am using the lod version ... he should use "Line 355".
    Well, i am using the lod version, so i messed around with "Line 355". This was getting so far, that i changed the code to this:
    local function createWaypointFrame()
    	path = debugstack(1, 1, 0)
    	if path:find("Cartographer\\") then
    		path = "Interface\\AddOns\\Cartographer\\Cartographer_Waypoints\\Artwork\\Arrow"
    	elseif path:find("Cartographer_Waypoints\\") then
    		path = "Interface\\AddOns\\Cartographer_Waypoints\\nonsense\\Arrow"
    	else
    		error("Cannot determine path of artwork")
    	end

    Well, the folder "nonsense" is not existing, so normally the addon should tell me now: "Cannot determine path of artwork"
    I restarted WoW ... made a note in the area i was ... set a waypoint .. i got the distance, the name of the waypoint but i got no arrow and no error-message.

    May be my knowledge of programming is much more worse than i thought, or the addon isnt calling the frame at all.
    I dont have an idea to go this way ... like i said: my knowledge isnt very good ;)

    Well, unfortunatly at this point, a guildmate came online.
    Just to remeber:
    We have 2 PC's/accounts in the guild on which its working, and 2 PC's/accounts on which it isnt working.
    Due to the fact, that it is working on a few pc's my thoughts about the frames above, might be totally wrong. So i thought: what are the differences ?
    Well, this is i found out:
    1. playing with german-client, no ELP installed ---> no arrow
    2. playing with german-client, no ELP installed ---> no arrow
    3. playing with german-client, english-ELP installed but not used ---> HAS arrow
    4. german-client installed, playing with english-ELP ---> HAS arrow

    Is it may be pure chance, that the arrow isnt shown on pcs/accounts where the english-ELP isnt installed ?
    Well, it seems not logical, because there is someone playing with the german client, but the english-ELP is installed in the backround.

    I am aware that a lot of ace-addons problems on my side, are caused by the localization, because a lot of source code is different to the other languages.

    Any ideas ?

    ok .... may be i have a hint:
    I restarted and checked the folders and so on ...
    after restarting, i set a waypoint on the map.
    After leaving the map, i see for a second 9 (?) little squares, as if there is a texture.
    Is it possibel, that it is right now on my side 100% transparent ?
    I am using this setting for the backround of Fubar ... may be they are sharing this setting ?

    Edit: Ok, i played around with the settings ... fubar isnt causing the problem, but i still have the feeling that the problems lay somewhere in the transparency.
    Edit2: Now i have played also around with sRaidframes and cartographer with different transparencies ... nothing changend :( . I'm running out of ideas atm, and i know that there ARE some kind of squares for a second above my head -.-
    Edit3: Its also not working on my girlfriends-pc/account ... on a few others it is working. We also checked the version: we have all the newest one. I will try a few things tomorrow.

    These waypoints are really nice ... but i have one question:
    I set a waypoint, and got the distance to it ... but no arrow for the direction. Am i blind, or are the arrows only for finding your dead body ?

    Edit: 2 guildmates have this arrow ... i updated again, but i only have an arrow, then i am dead :/ . For "normal" waypoints i only get the distance and the name of the waypoint.

    This was a shit morngin to update -.-

    Interface\AddOns\Prat\Prat.lua:179:AceLocale(Prat): Improper translation
    exists. "DEV: Concept View" is likely misspelled for locale deDE.

    This popups at startup ... the mod should be loaded, but is definatly not aktiv in the game.

    I hope, that at least this can be fixed ... there are since this morning a lot of other problems around, like changed settings for fubar or mods which dont appear in deucecommander anymore.

    If the name really changed, then it wouldn't stop you from attempting to do a turnin when you don't have the items (would give that no items found in bag message/sound). The code's current logic is to check target's name and check if you have zero items for that target (don't turn in)...all other cases, attempt to turnin. If you, Farook, or any localizer has SVN access, feel free to update the localization.

    Ok, i will try it to explain again:
    I have the items.
    I'm using the original Capping.
    The name of the target changed.

    The turn-in does work.

    So, if i read your post right, it doesnt matter how the target name is ... but that doesnt make any sence as well ;) ... well, may be not in my mind ^^

    Sorry, i dont habe SVN access... well, i have my own projekt @ curse-gaming, but i just understand half of mods and the programming. So i want to help but dont want to mess around with the source-code of others. I will keep on posting here, if i have something for ya ;)

    I have a little update for the capping-"localization-deDE.lua"

    ["Stormpike Ram Rider Commander"] = "Kommandant der Sturmlanzenwidderreiter",
    ["Frostwolf Wolf Rider Commander"] = "Wolfsreiterkommandant der Frost\195\182lfe",

    And then i have question: 1 of the Wing comander (ally) is renamed in the german client.
    But your "auto-turn" in is still working. Do you want the new name, or do you want to wait till the "auto-turn in" isnt working on him anymore ?
    The problem is, due to blizzard the localication might change every week. -.-

    \Prat\modules\ChannelNames.lua:144 AceLocale(ChannelNames): Improper translation exists.
    "Guild" is likely misspelled for locale deDE

    The funny thing is: Imo is translation right, so i dunno whats wrong.

    @ Lightning - I've noted some of the changes; however, I see no difference in what you posted about "avtaken" and what's already there.

    I'm sorry, its a copy and paste error of mine (i'm using 2 pc's).
    "avtaken" should be changed into:
    ["avtaken"] = "(.+) wurde von der (.+) erobert",

    I have tested that, and its working.

    Capping is really a nice addon, but i notized that a few things arent working with the german-client.
    2 points were the reason that i took a look into the localization.lua:
    - AB didnt had the bar for opening the gate
    - AV didnt seem to register, than 1 side defended a building, so the bar was still running.

    First i found out that the germanclient is using in alterac and warsong the following keys:
    Line 190: ["begins in 1 minute"] = "beginnt in 1 Minute",
    Line 193: ["begins in 30 seconds"] = "beginnt in 30 Sekunden",
    So, this is working pretty well.

    But Arathi is using a different one ... it should be like this:
    "wird in 1 Minute beginnen",
    "wird in 30 Sekunden beginnen",

    Than i have a question to Line 220: ["%s's flag carrier: %s (%s)"] = "%s's Flaggentr\195\164ger: %s (%s)", ... i dont know how it is being used ... so i cant tell if its working or not.

    The name of the NPC in Line 226 is Murgot Tiefenschmied, so it has to be:
    Line 226: ["Murgot Deepforge"] = "Murgot Tiefenschmied",
    The name in Line 228: ["Arch Druid Renferal"] = "Erzdruide Renferal", ---> is checked, and working

    I found the reason, why the german client seems not to register the "retapping" in AV:
    Line 239: ["avtaken"] = "(.+) wurde von der (.+) eingenommen", ----> changed, tested, is working

    Line 240: ["avdestroyed"] = "(.+) wurde von der (.+) zerst\195\182rt", ---> is checked, and working

    Hopefully this is the right place to find these changes into release. I will try to check the rest asap.
