Hi. I get an error message when I make a new DrDamageSet and enter "Frostbolt" as the spell and "13" as the rank: (Using latest versions from SVN.)

Sorry if this has already been mentioned. (How do you search a single thread?)

Could we please have the option to toggle Aura filtering based on friend/enemy status?

i.e. On my target frame I want to filter debuffs for enemies only, not friends.

    Excellent mod btw <3

posted a message on Quartz: Modular Casting Bar
I was bored yesterday so I modified (hacked lol) Quartz so it can show the average or user-specified latency on the cast bar. If anyone wants to have a play with it let me know.

I still don't understand what a fixed, estimated latency on your cast bar accomplishes, because it would break the current latency bar's function. I think that's why we're confused about your request.

    Ok here's an example:

I'm in a raid spamming Frostbolts at the boss.
My casting time is 2.5 seconds.
My average ping is 350ms, but is fluctuating wildy at the moment.

Frostbolt number 1: Quartz shows 350ms lag. I start casting the next Frostbolt as the progress indicator enters the red zone. Working as intended.

Frostbolt number 2: Quartz shows 200ms lag. However I know my average lag is about 350ms so I can cast early. I try to estimate where 350ms and begin casting.

Frostbolt number 3: Quartz shows 1000ms lag. I know from experience that by the time the progress indicator gets close to the (now huge) red zone that my lag will be back to about 350ms, so if I cast as the progress indicator enters the red area I will get an error message (or if I'm using a /stopcasting macro the current Frostbolt will fail). So again I have to estimate where 350ms would be on the bar.

I guess I want to see a "mark" of some sort on the cast bar to show my average lag.

I hope that all made sense lol. :)

Read about the latency bar there. Having it display a more or less fixed latency would completely beat its purpose. If you do not care for your latency during casting, just disable this module.

I understand it thank you. Apparently I haven't explained myself cleary. Regardless, I would still like the option to set a fixed area on the bar without having to hack the code every release.

I think you misunderstand the purpose of the latency bar in Quartz.

No, not at all. As I mentioned in my previous post, my ping can fluctuate quite wildy at times. Per-spell based lag compensation is not ideal in this situation.

I would love to be able to set a "fixed" latency time since my ping at any given moment can fluctuate wildly but I have a fair idea of my average latency.
