    Positionable texts is the only thing that makes me want to use SUF, but SUF's aura system is really lackluster, and faking it with SBF frames is not only more of a pain for complex filters, but a bit more work on the CPU as well. Other than voting for the ticket (which I've previously done), is there anything else a non-coder can do to encourage this particular ticket be worked on? (a donation ala bountysource, possibly?) I looked through the code, but I don't know nearly enough to do it, much less do it well.

    UIScale is set to "0.7314285714285714", which is 768/1050. Shouldn't be an issue. What is confusing me is how it looks one way, do a /rl, and it looks another way.

    edit: I run at 1680x1050

    edit2: That may be a side effect of using layout-local to store location information instead of putting it in the standard SavedVariables lua

    edit3: so the layout-local only uses whole numbers to store coordinates, and when you drag something, it's almost never dragged to a whole number. I'm not sure if I'll be able to achieve what I want without learning to store the layout information somewhere else and just editing the addon and not updating it. :(

    edit4: Yeah, I ended up editing the offset the first bar starts at in relation to the top of the frame, and it works fine now.

    There's something odd with the way Recount saves GUI config stuff. Looks like it's related to positioning and scale. Through lots of work, I got clean 1px borders in between (with antialiasing ON ;D) and after a /console reloadui, it was all blurry again. If I put the scale back to 100, reloaded my UI, then moved it back to .99, it was pretty again. If I then reloaded, it'd get ugly again. It looks like the spacing is intact, but the first bar (and subsequently, all the ones under it) got moved down a half a pixel.

    I know it's insanely anal retentive, but does anyone have an idea what's going on?

    Not sure if this was the case at the time, but now you can select what texture you use and the alpha of it, allowing both DBM and BigWigs style full screen alerts.


    I LOVE how smooth and effective this addon is, and the customizability is great. The only thing I'd ask for is options relating to the spacing between bars and some position options other than dragging. (Because of the "pixel straddling", it's incredibly difficult to get clean 2 pixel borders if a bar isn't positioned exactly right, which is impossible to do with dragging).

    I'd managed to get it working with DBM through ages of trial and error (they don't have borders, so I did a KgPanel for each bar), but now that I've found this, why would I want to run DBM? :p

    Letting a bunch of people know about this, as it's simply miles ahead of DBM/Bigwigs.

    Is there a way to disable bar snapping? I am trying to set one group 4 pixels below the bottom of the first, but I can't do it in game, and editing the lua directly doesn't seem to work within range of the snapping.

    Just tell me which lua file it's in and I'll figure it out from there?

    edit: Thanks jokeyrhyme, shift worked, and I can't believe I didn't try it earlier. Absolutely THRILLED with the current version.

    edit again: Now all I need is class colored Mana bars.. hrm..

    Is there any way to have alignment per chat frame? Everything else about Prat is great, I like having combat log on the bottom right and chat on the bottom left, each aligned toward their corner of the screen. Is there a way to do that currently?

    Are there any more advanced text positioning options? I like having them below the bars, but they're too far out. Moving them 3 pixels up would be what I want, but I don't see a way to do that.

    This is perfect, I've been trying to find a decent bar cooldown timer and had actually given up a few weeks ago. The only thing I could imagine that I'd want an option for that isn't currently there is the background color of the bar.

    If anyone knows where it is, I would love to know so I could just do a quick lua edit and not have to wait for someone to grant my request.. (dunno how to code options, otherwise I'd add it myself)

    I don't mean to necro-bump, but I figured it'd be better than starting a new thread.
    I checked the bug referenced (PB-221) and jumped for joy when it was listed as resolved. Got the newest from files.wowace.com/PitBull, and the problem I had persists.

    Basically, the only time "Health/Mana not at max alpha" works is just after combat. In combat, target selected, out of combat, all work as intended.
    If I buff someone before combat, it stays in OOC mode (instead of not max mode), even though my mana isn't at max anymore.

    It's probably still a simple fix, but it's a different one. Filed as PB-352, since it's quite clearly not resolved. :P

    I searched for combatfader, and the only two open issues weren't related to this.. (bar coloring by combat state, and fading on mouseover)
    Is there a bug I could bookmark to see if anything happens? I'd be quick to write a patch if I had any idea how lua worked.. but I pretty much have to ask nicely and just hope with these sorts of things.

    Settings, for reference:
    IC: 90%
    OOC: 0%
    OOC not full health/mana: 40%
    OOC targeting something: 0%

    If I go into combat, and come out with half of my mana, it fades to 40% until my health/mana are full, then fades out completely.
    However, if I wasn't in combat (e.g., buffing a bunch of people before an instance), it never goes from 0% to 40% when my mana (and health) goes down from Power Word: Fort.

    Is this working as intended, or is it a bug? (if it's a bug, would it be a simple fix?)
