Jan 21, 2008Posted in: General AddOnsSay if tekkompare or mirror had armory/cv support and offered hope to add itemrack support, I have no problem using them if they are lower on CPU use or memory use. But they don't so if people start painting those addons that do offer the functionality as bad is really unfortunate.
I am planning to add ClosetGnome support to Mirror. Though it may take some time to get to doing it.

is there any way to add Show on Keypress only ability?
i can modify lua just need an advice on how :)
If you don't want the compare tooltip showing all the time, then why use Mirror? The default blizzard UI gives you compare tooltips on shift-press already.
To disable the compare tooltips while mouse-hovering over items in inventory comment out self:HookScript(GameTooltip,"OnTooltipSetItem") on line 21
To disable compare tooltips for item links (when clicked) comment out lines 22 and 23.
To disable link-hover tooltips, comment out lines 25-34
EDIT: The shift-press compare tooltips will still be available

error is gone now that for the quick responce i noticed that you did some code changing, im assuming this was to make it more stable of sumthing, although i can still add my little change :).
I guess I forgot to mention it (it's in the commit messages on svn or the change log in WAU). I added an over-chat "enchanting" feature. whisper someone with the mod !glow <weapon link> <enchant link> and it will whisper them back with that weapon enchanted.
Also I was trying to make things work with other languages, so that's where a bunch of code came in. Not completely positive that really works though.
Hmm.. installed this addon but didnt see anything.. Maybe it doesnt work with outfitter?
Are you sure there's no icon in the top-right corner of the Dressing room? try typing /glowfosho and see what that gives you. If nothing comes up the mod isn't loading.
Jan 1, 2008Problem is caused by the following code on line 227Posted in: General AddOns
OnAccept = AceProfit:DestroyJunk(),
It should be
OnAccept = function() AceProfit:DestroyJunk() end,
OnAccept = AceProfit.DestroyJunk,
but the first one is better.
Dec 31, 2007If I understand you correctly, when you open a merchant window, you get 2 compare tooltips popping up on the screen and no actual GameTooltip appearing. I, personally, could not replicate this behavior, but if that is the case, it seems that something else is hooking GameTooltip OnHide event improperly, because once that is fired, the compare tooltips (ShoppingTooltip1 and ShoppingTooltip2) should be hidden regardless. Try to determine what addon is making those tooltips appear and then we might be able to work out a solution.Posted in: General AddOns
The reason why I do not want to implement your fix is that it may cause the mod not work with some other mods that may be forgetting to set the Parent for a GameTooltip.

wow....i feel stupid. Need to go to sleep. :-(
well, actually I don't really feel stupid anymore. The option that was added simply disables alt-click behavior. All that was requested (and what I was thinking of) is disabling the auto-send part. Not that much of a fix, though some options (like the comment in the GameTooltip "Alt-click to send this item to so and so") would need to be reworked (maybe removed...?)
Dec 18, 2007Could the auto-send feature (attaching item to mail sends it out right away if there is a name filled in) be made optional? I like having to click Send to send items just in case I miss-alt-click something.Posted in: General AddOns

Hmm must be something else tainting or something.
I noticed something else: Items on my action bars do show compare tooltips, which is fine, except that they seem to go way off the bottom of the screen. I tried with TekKompare and the same thing happens though; I think it's probably Blizzard's fault for assuming that the tooltip would be in the corner instead of anchored to the mouse :)
Neither Mirror nor tekKompare anchor the tooltip to the mouse for actionbars. Are you using custom tooltips? Like CowTip or TinyTip?

Mirror seems to work okay. Got hover links working, except they don't seem to work in combat (clicking links makes them appear in combat though)
I'll see what I can do about that, might just have to secure hook it.
What is the difference between Mirror and EquipCompare?
Not sure really. I haven't looked at EquipCompare.
I tried the hover in combat and had no problems with it. Showed up just fine.
Also, I looked at EquipCompare (kinda) and most of the functionality is pretty much the same. EC seems to allow you to assign a key to do something (I really didn't look into what it was). EC is also about 10 times bigger than Mirror...excluding localizations, which aren't even possible for Mirror, since there is nothing to translate. :-)

Well it has nothing to do with skinner apparently, cuz even now with the skin, yes it's skinned but the size didn't change.
Anyway, when u compare ur inventory gear with ur equipped gear the size if fine, it's only when clicking link in chat so it had nothing to do with skinner :/
Quite the opposite. When comparing inventory gear, Blizzard's default GameTooltip is used. When comparing item links, Mirror uses its own tooltip, so that would have to have specific support from Skinner to get changed properly. I'll try getting skinner and cowtip/tinytip and see if I can replicate the problem you are having.
UPDATE: I got Skinner and CowTip and while the text does seem smaller for the items being compared, it is smaller both for inventory items and for links (for me anyway). The font is actually smaller by default, so if there is something that is increasing the font size for Blizzard's comparison tooltips, that's the mod that would also have to mess with Mirror's tooltips as well. If you could post a list of mods that you are using which could be related to this, I would look into adding support for mirror in that addon.
