well here the garbage load seem to go off the scale when raiding. and I can't figure out what's the problem. Tried disabling the following mods:
the only things that I can think of is Aceheal (0.12) , enchantrix (3.30), witchhunt (latest, fubar (265), special events(9-4 svn pull) or mendeleev (0.65)
anyways it's generating 150-400 Kib/s of garbage shich is way too much :(

Apr 7, 2006It updates everything both player and item values since the mod already grabbed that info from the site anyway.Posted in: Addon Ideas
Besides it's easy to spam everything in the channel because people are lazy so they forget to update it themselfs besides this will sync it for the entire raid which makes it that much easier.
The reason we altered it is simply because of a few things:
- people are too lazy to update it themselfs everytime.
- the one who updates the DKP can immidiately update his values and send it ingame
- many people wanted to know the dkp values of some items before they start bidding this way they can see it ingame and the leaders to have to keep a second text file up to date as in INCdkp
we could optionally look into the idea of seperating the spam of PlayerDKP and ItemDKP into two commands.
Apr 6, 2006actually we currently have a version of modified getdkp running in the guild. users just log on like they normally do only 1 person fetch the values from the site and it can then spam it in a background channel so everyone gets the info.Posted in: Addon Ideas
currently updating takes about 1,5 minute with 70 members and roughly 250 items. What we still need to do are:
port it to Ace and FuBar (it now uses Titan Panel)
remove the custom tooltip and place it in the itemtooltip
remove all the whisper code.

One of the most important benchmarks on the homebrew PVR (you know, self-built TiVo) is the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor). You could write the most amazing spiffy software in the world, but if the wife can't pick up the remote and navigate it then it's crap.
Either that or make a manual with alot of text and no pictures. Women seem to understand it better.
no pictures but alot of text = Women based manuals (see washing machine, sowing machine and ofcorse the ironing board (for some reason it got a manual of atleast 10 pages))
alot of pictrues with basic needs and a little bit of extra text (read warranty and contact info if all hell breaks lose) = Men based manuals (see Computer, TV, Stereo)
exception to the rule... things you buy from Ikea. Women buy it but men need to make it.
Jan 16, 2006Posted in: Addon IdeasQuote from "instant" »I'm using XRAID all the time, so its not broken.
Although memory usage is a bit high 1.7ish MiB
1.7 Mb isn't high voor a raidframe mod. CTRA core uses twice as much and then the boosalerts aren't even calculated in.
Jan 16, 2006Posted in: Addon IdeasQuote from "Hakker" »Personally I think the Boss alerts can be made in a seperate mod but the ready check is something I would really like to see, because you always have one or 2 ppl not paying attention.
this could be made in combination of a timer that people should respond in 1 minute those who wouldn't respond would get the propper beatdown ;)
actually I already found that a base code of bossalerts and ready already is aced. Rowne made Alpha sometime ago which kinda use the base code to move from there.
I also would like to see a simple GUI for xraid to do the basic stuff in as for instance member placement setting MT's to make it easier for the average player.
Jan 11, 2006I just use Tipster, Reactips, informatips for it. Clean simple and does exactly what is needed to. Why on earth should I care about lootinfo and useless stuff like that. You know exactlt what you get on xp, damage and loot after 2 mobs.Posted in: Addon Ideas
Jan 9, 2006_ForgeUser7974 posted a message on Probably some mods that would defenitly be better if acedEnchantrix (7 MB mem load including EnhToolTip and Stubby) The disenchanting info really rocks but it's becomming more and more bloated.Posted in: Addon Ideas
CT_Raid Tracker (5 MB mem load) I use the EQDKP plugin version which probably tons of other people probably does and is frankly the only reason why I use it. Only to get the DKP updated easily on my site.
CT Raid Assist (3 mb Mem load). The main + about CTRA are the Bossalerts and Ready check for the rest it's a regular raid panel imho. with too many silly options to make it bloated.
Gatherer (5 MB mem load) One of the most used mods out there but the same goes with this one. it's becomming more and more bloated with every release somehow.
Needy List (3 MB mem load) a Bit faster updating would be nice but for the rest this mod is really very nice except not aced ;)
Titan Panel (2 MB mem load) yup I know it something in the works at the time but I would just like to include it in the list.
an Aced Questsystem
That are 6 mods that are pretty commonly used but take about 50% of a players memory usage alone. I really think some can be cut down ALOT but I know jack shit about LUA coding (maybe I should learn it ;) ) so I have to beg at your feets at this point. Yes I know it are probably some of the biggest projects to do also :)
