I've been running into an issue for quite some time, that didn't bother me much until I decided recently to make a change to my UF's and include a castbar on self and target frames.

Here's how it goes. When I'm using a vertical UF style (bars on left/right instead of "center"), and I set the Portrait to "left" or "right", it becomes immense and hides the rest of the UF (and in fact, ignores the frame width entirely). I'll include some screencaps (edited for size/expediency) and links to unedited full-screen caps as well.

If I set the portrait to "center", it fits perfectly.

The attached screencap (cropped) with the blue bar on each side is how it SHOULD show up. The one with the excessively wide portrait frame is the bug I'm seeing. (and yes, class/health/power texts are in my portrait frame)

Screencaps (cropped) and links to uncropped versions if you wish:

posted a message on [Pitbull] Separated Bar
    Well, there's a few possibilities.

    1) they're cleverly using textures and a combination of FullBar and BlankBar modules for Pitbull to make it appear as if the bar is detached (this would be the case if the bar was directly above or below the other bars)

    2) they're using a custom module Pitbull (good luck finding it!)

    3) they're not actually using Pitbull at all.

posted a message on Customizing the combat log?
Not quite on topic, but it was mentioned earlier - is there a way to auto-set the Blizzard combat log filter via LUA? I'm sure there should be... such a line could be incorporated into this very jury-rigged combat log modifier addon.

If I knew LUA (instead of the Pascal, C, C++, Java that I'm familiar with :P) I'd look into it some more. As-is, I'm best useful at pseudocode and troubleshooting. *grin*

Seems my pitbull bars are acting strange, these red blocks show up when casting....is this a global thing? or do i need to delete my pitbull settings and start again? only started happening after i updated and started making a new ui for my alt...

thanks in advance for any help.

This is called "VisualHeal", and it's a module you can turn off in Pitbull -> Modules, or you can turn it off on a frame-by-frame basis in Pitbull -> (FrameName) -> Other -> VisualHeal.

    No.
    [IsMouseOver ? HP:Gray] or [IsMouseOver ? HP:Gray] <= work

    [IsMouseOver ? HP:Color(999999)] or [IsMouseOver ? HP:Color("999999")] don't work

when i put the ":Color(999999)", nothing apear when mouse is over.

Duke, just a note, when you do hex color codes, you have to have the color code in quotes.

    [IsMouseOver ? HP:Color("999999")] or [IsMouseOver ? HP:Color("999999")]

    Should fix the issue.

Also, the slash command /cfilter brings up it's options, as well. Surprised to say, it looks to me like it's basically identical to the default Blizzard combat filter setup screen, without the option for having buttons for multiple filters. *shrug*

I had my Mana and HP bars texted like this: CurrentHP | MaxHP | Percentage. Much like "Absolute and Percent", but with no short numbers (12900 should not be shown as 12.9)

This will no longer work for me since yesterday. Any ideas for a costum made text for health and mana bars?

    Try this, it should work.
     [HP "|" MaxHP "|" PercentHP:Percent]

     [MP "|" MaxMP "|" PercentMP:Percent]

CurrentHP is now "HP", CurrentMP is now "MP". This should work for ya.

    Quote from theondry »

In general, the wiki for dogtag-2.0 seems a bit off. CurHP does not work (though HP does). SmartHP gives a syntax error, as well, but it *seems* like HP includes that functionality.

Thing is, it's not dogtag-2.0. At 2.4, when he had to upgrade some things anyway, ckknight (pitbull, cowtip, and dogtag author) upgraded everything to use dogtag-3.0 instead of 2.0, and there's no wiki for 3.0 yet.

I know Prat can let you set things by chatframe, I'm not certain of any other mods that will.

Um... the 2 libraries you mention have the exact same name. Cowtip just flat out doesn't work for me since 2.4 this morning, and I'm running the version of it posted today.

Do I need to download anything else now?

Oops, typo there. I meant LibDogTag-2.0 was the old one. LibDogTag-3.0 is what's in the new version. :->

Dunno about that... I'm just another user here. Growing mildly frustrated by LDT-3.0, myself. :-)

Any update coming soon? i love Autobar, would hate to give it up

and if no, does anyone know of a good alternative?

Umm... the author posted on this thread, same page. About halfway up. 8 days ago. He mentioned he's in the middle of a massive rewrite of the mod. So, no alternative needed.

posted a message on Are DogTags too difficult? Help me make it better
The only problem I'm currently having with 2.4 and LibDogTag-Unit-3.0 is that PowerColor is, apparently, setting the text alpha to 0 for that line. Here's the tag:

    [HasMP ? PercentMP:Percent:PowerColor]

There's no visible error - just a blank spot. This is happening in both PitBull and CowTip, so I'm fairly certain LibDogTag-3.0 or LibDogTag-Unit-3.0 is the culprit.

LibDogTag-3.0.lua line 70 sets the color for mana. I'm only seeing 3 numbers, so that is the RGB. I'm guessing the issue is in LibDogTag-Unit-3.0\Categories\Power.lua, either line 178 or line 180, but I don't know lua well enough to debug beyond this.

    -- Taryl (Gunnolf of Thunderhorn)

PS: It works perfectly, as long as I don't include the :PowerColor modifier, so that is the issue, I believe.

    EDIT:
     [HasMP ? PowerColor PercentMP:Percent]

Has the same problem - no text at all

Also wanted to add, after last update, my target of target mana bar says"unknown tag hasnomp"

Use ~HasMP instead. I think a lot of these negative tags went the way of the dodo with the move from LibDogTag-2.0 to LibDogTag-3.0. I'm not sure, I'm still feeling out the changes, since there's no wiki or ingame help for LDT-3.

The new version of Cowtip for 2.4 uses LibDogTag-3.0, not the LibDogTag-3.0 that it's been using in prior releases.

MANY TAGS HAVE CHANGED. I'm still trying to figure out some of the new tags, and I can't find a list.
