posted a message on Looking for Addon Programmers
Especially since no self-respecting hiring agent/headhunter (even for a WoW Addon) would dare post on a forum with such misspellings as "representant", "questio", writting", etcetera. Also, this post shows a grammar level equivalent with the majority of Nigerian Bank Scam emails that I've recieved in the past - that is, poor, while sounding high-flown.

*laugh* My current setup was actually designed with PB4, and then I back-ported it with PB3, since it's a pain to turn off the Party/PartyPet/PartyTarget frames when I go to raid. :)

posted a message on wtb pitbull layout, paying
    Screw the "paying" thing.

What are you raid healing with? Holy Pally, Resto Shammy, Resto Druid, Disc Priest, or Holy Priest?

The only thing that really changes is your indicators on Grid, but you have to know what you're looking for.

On my holy priest's Grid, I have indicators for aggro, Renew, PoM, and LowMana, as well as the standard center-icon indicators for debuffs (both those I can and can't remove).

And... what kind of Pitbull layout are you looking for? Big, small, close-up, spread out? What info do you want/need to see on your Pitbull UF's?

Here's a couple of different layouts I've used.
    1: http://www.hdimage.org/images/ocgelklejwbplnxedwkm_posspitbull1.jpg
    2: http://www.hdimage.org/images/w41s30yu4f9kiwd6tz_posspitbull2.jpg

I also used a "tighter" version of #2. Removed level/race info from party bars, removed some health info from pet/focus bars, removed level/race info from party targets, and shrank height of all bars to 20, instead of the 40 shows. "Mini" bars (focus, ToT, party pets) dropped to 15. Was very cramped and busy, but worked well for 5-mans (for me, at least).

Thanks. I'm considering swapping sides for that and my minimap "cluster".

do i have to reconfigure my pb settings if i change from 3 to 4?

Yeah, because it uses Ace3, and so can't read it's old Rock db. Also, it uses such a different method of setup that it's worth it to play with the new one. I love PB4, it's great. I just can't use it until they have an option to hide the party in a raid. :)

    Well, here goes nothing.

Current WIP. Pitbull 3 (will move to 4 as soon as there's an option to hide the party while in a raid - sticky bars make this UI look a tiny bit better), kgPanels, Decursive, Fortress, Dominoes, ButtonFacade.

Bar texture is BantoBar, from the SharedMedia setups.
Border texture is the Solid texture from ArkInventory (added it via SharedMedia/MyMedia).

Comments and Constructive Criticism requested and welcomed! :)

Also, in a raid (I only do 10-mans currently), the Party bars are gone, and Grid fits under Decursive.

posted a message on [Pitbull] Party frames
Currently Pitbull 3 (the current working version) is in stasis. The author is working on a new version, Pitbull 4.

Just some notes, Pitbull treats all 4 party frames as one "group", and they can't currently be placed individually. Vertical and Horizontal layouts are possible, and so are "Square" layouts (with each of the 4 party members being one corner of the square).

In both Vertical and Horizontal, the only placement is distance between panels in that Horizontal or Vertical direction. In Square, you can choose different distances for vertical and horizontal separation - basically allowing you to control the length of each "side" of the square.

@Malvenue - That usually means that the SV file isn't being written properly on logout - either that, or you're crashing out of wow a lot. *grin* Once you set it to hide the anchor, do a "/console reloadui". This will update the SV file immediately, without having to wait for a logout/quit (or a crash that would reset your mod :)).

posted a message on DogTag help
I think "HasThreat" and maybe "PercentThreat" haven't been rewritten into the DogTags for Lich King. They used to rely on the Threat-2.0 library, but that library is gone - the new WoW API has better threat tracking and management built in, so the old threat libraries are gone. I'm sure it would be possible to re-write the coding for those tags using the new API, but I have no idea how to do it.

My suggestion for now? Remove that entry.

posted a message on Quartz: Modular Casting Bar
Hey, I love this castbar mod. I have only 1 bug at the moment (and my LUA-fu is not up to hacking it myself, at nearly 4am *laugh*). The Mirror bar doesn't follow the background alpha. I use a rounded bar texture for my castbars and mirrorbar, and they work fine, generally, except that there's always a black background around the ends of it on the mirror bar, and a black bar left "behind" as the mirror bar counts down. I'll take a SS of it later, if you'd like.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see any party frames. Also, it's hard to get a good feel for a UI when it's full of a giant config screen, or has a character sheet open, etc. So many people post UI pics with a bunch of garbage onscreen that's almost never shown in actual use. :(

Yeahhhh... I'd copied the wrong URL from Photobucket. Edited original post to have correct picture URL. *laugh*

OK... I haven't been at this long, and I'm not an artist. I don't use any textures that aren't either default in the mod (if I can't change them), or what's in SharedMedia. All fonts are from SharedMedia-Fonts.

    http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z140/TarybleTxn/WoW/96595f2d.jpg

    It's almost 5am, so I wasn't in a group - that's why Pitbull's config is on "Party" mode. *grin*

I'm probably about to redo the whole mess anyway - any suggestions on things I could change to make it both prettier and less cluttered? *grin*

Edit: Changed the stupid link. Photobucket, add new pics to the END of the list, not the front! *laugh*

Yeah I am able to get it to look normal again also, but I would like the ability to load custom layouts considering the default is really ugly.

A note about Pitbull Layouts is that they don't tell Pitbull which bars are on, or the framewidth or frameheight - just the order of bars and relative size to each other, and horizontal/vertical state. So you need to "adjust" them after importing a layout to make them look proper.

You don't need to modify any code to do that; the frame background color is configurable in the Colors menu.

*blink* Why, so it is! I really need to stop posting before I fully wake up. And I also should double-check options in the addon. I'd been overlooking this one.

I'm willing to bet he altered the lua to make Pitbull's background fully transparent, and then placed an eePanel (or kgPanel) behind that bottom bar to provide that texture.
