posted a message on New RSS feeds on the Armory and Privacy Concerns
luckily i never posted my char name with my full real name together, but many others do e.g. in guild applications and so on ..

i just get the point of what is the true benefit of this feed? a huge amount of players don't care about it so where is the problem of providing an option to disable for those who care ... blizz is strange :)

    hi,

in my opinion it is illegal. Blizz owns your char but they cannot do whatever they want with it.
Deleting your char or other things they can do are perfectly legal but making sensible data (and yes i count the new RSS Feed to it) public accessible is not the same thing.
Making a link between your character and your real name is (in many chases) not that much of a problem with the new social web 2.0 features such as facebook, twitter ...

i don't know the status in other countrys dann germany, but we have the right to "rule" over our data. we can force a company to delet all collected data (or parts of it).
saying "oh your data belongs to us, so we can do whatever we want with it" is not part of the agreement between me and blizz. imagine Facebook or google would give out their data about login times to the public. They would be sued to the gound ....

the base for this argumentation is that it is okay to share all the data within a closed community (your server) but not with everyone cappable of using a browser^^

First off, thanks for all the hard work. Secondly, feature request, sorry if it's been addressed:

Is there any way to make the omen window unclickable when you lock it? I like to have the window in the middle of my screen when I'm tanking, but I use mouse clicking to turn my toon. If I click on the omen window, i get a "dead zone" which keeps me from moving. This is annoying in the middle of a fight. Thank you.

    Hi,

it is possbile with a little Macro. I don't use this anymore, so i dont know the exact command.
But it is something like, this:

/script OmenFrame:IsMouseEnabled(0) -- to make it not clickable
    /script OmenFrame:IsMouseEnabled(1) -- to make it clickable

I don't know if it was "OmenFrame" or just "Omen" but i'm sure somebody here will know xD

posted a message on Dashboard / Widged Layer (Library)
    Hi,

my idea was, as the thread title says, an addon or a little lib that hides and shows certain addons on a keypress. like the osx dashboard layer.

i know that this is possible with many addons through suspend and resume them or toggle the visibility (e.g. recount). but not all addons support this easy way of hiding and showing :(

the benefit of such a additional interface layer would be that the addons could use more space on the screen without getting in the way of other addons during combat.

    noha

btw: sry for my not sooo good english :)

with US debit cards the money always comes straight from the associated bank account, regardless of whether you use it as an credit card or a atm card.

But it is very nice in having the ability to use it anywhere you can use a credit card.

i think it could be depend on the bank here, i personally get a CC-Bill every first of a month for the last month and then the amount is taken from my bank account "linked" with the CC. There is also the option that the CC is an seperate account. So you can pay for example a new TV for 1000 and pay it in small monthly rates.

bye the way: my postings are not intended to be a flame on curse or someone else. just for information that we have some special needs in germany xD.e

and matrix do you really believe germany is a small market ? o_O

Useing "our" EC-Card without PIN is not exactly the same than using a CC.

I don't know the exact differences but the main should be that the money from the EC comes directly from your Bank Acc und the Money from an CC should come from VISA/Mastercard/... and they later get it from you. There is no balance check before the Money is Transfered with an CC. When you Pay By CC there is a balance check before every transaction. (AFAIK)

    matrix110, only one thing.

WE (Germany :) ) have the money, THEY (Curse) want that money, so THEY have to look that we can give them our money as easy as possible. thats economy. not vice versa -_-

    Hi,

i'm looking forward to WAR, I will definitively give it a try.

Unfortunately it will be release so early :(
I think the should do a lot more testing and bug fixing, according to the beta players.
And not to forget that I have an old PC :( and WAR will not run on em :(
My new one is arriving 2 months later.

I'll probably add noha's GridStatusTarget if he doesn't mind. I went ahead and added the option to show Grid only when in a raid.

sure your're allowed to include it

    - rangecheck
    - make the health deficit option work (it works.. sometimes, very strange behaviour)
    - add an option, to see who is being ressed

health deficit works fine for me. change the threshold to 99% and there should be no problems
    (Grid->status->health->health deficit->health threshold)

option to see wo is being ressed -> ORA2 Ressurection monitor
