I created my own layout based on Tapestry's Pitbull frames and I am having problems with keeping the Roth border through updates.
Basically, right now, I've been adding the border information to the main ag_Options.lua and ag_Variables.lua files manually. Of course, that means that I have to go back and update them every time Ag_Unitframes is updated. Not a huge imposition but it makes me wonder if there is a way to add that information to a file that's not going to be updated, like my own Tapestry.lua file.
Now that AGUF shows the time left on buffs/debuffs, I am in the market to get rid of my Buff addon. However, doing so causes the Blizzard default Buff icons to show. Any way to hide them or any addons that will just do that?
I'm going to play around with Class Timer and see if I can get it to do what I want--or something similar.
The other thing I was wondering is if there is a damage meter that doesn't consume massive amounts of memory (like Recount) but which is also accurate. As much as I love Recount, until I solve my memory issues I'm not planning on using it.
I've been trying to put together a UI for raiding that doesn't continue to expand its memory use as the raid progresses. That may be an impossible dream but I am still up for the challenge.
I raid as a Shadow Priest so my needs are pretty simple. I currently use DoTimer (for monitoring DoTs and my own Cooldowns), Pitbull (for raid, party, solo unit frames and for monitoring buffs and debuffs--which may be where by problems lie), Bartender3, Eavesdrop, Parrot, Omen, BigWigs, oRA2, Demon, MobHealth, Outfitter, Quartz and TrinketMenu.
I also use a lot of the standard Ace addons to fill things out: Cartographer, ClearFont2, Prat, BugGrabber/Sack, Fubar (with about 13 plugins), G-Mail, Cowtip, Examiner, RatingBuster, SimpleMinimap, and the memory intensive but fantastic ArkInventory. Most of them stay enabled during raid.
At logon my UI Memory is about 34-36 mib but in raid I've seen it grow to around 70-80mib for no apparent reason (and I am pretty good about forcing a garbage collection if I have to open my inventory for things). And I try to disable any unnecessary addons beforehand.
So, I'm hoping that you all can help me out here and recommend addons that work well together or suggest alternatives that work as well but use less memory.
Hey, I am getting the following error when I log into WoW now that the patch is live:
[2007/09/25 18:42:37-4119-x1]: ArkInventory-2.09a\ArkInventory.lua:1603: bad argument #2 to 'format' (number expected, got nil)
AceAddon-2.0-46764 (Ace2):927: in function <Interface\AddOns\Ace2\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua:920>
<in C code>: ?
AceEvent-2.0-49307 (Ace2):266: in function `TriggerEvent'
AceEvent-2.0-49307 (Ace2):962: in function <Interface\AddOns\Ace2\AceEvent-2.0\AceEvent-2.0.lua:955>
And the end result is that ArkInventory is not replacing my hideous default bag frames. BTW, since I never post here (though I do lurk), I have to say that I absolutely love this program. It could use twice the memory and I would still have to use it. Micromanaging my toons' bags is such a blast. My Herb, Ore/Gems, and Cloth mules are so organized that it is... sadly pathetic, I'm sure. :-P
Anyway, I hope to see a fix soon cause I hate the default bags/bank.
Is there a way to set up a line so that it shows Experience related info if the player is below L70 and whatever Faction rep they are watching if the Player is L70?
- option to see who is being ressed: it should be easy to take the code from SmartRes to display such indicators.
I was wondering what the status was on this? A friend of mine asked how this could be done with Grid and it seemed to me that at one point it had been a topic of discussion. However, it is not on the Wiki page so I thought I would ask.
Because health deficit has a threshold option. It defaults to 80%.
On a related note, Grid is now in a feature-freeze while documentation is being written. I hope to have a stable, documented version of Grid ready for TBC.
See, I told you it was an enormously silly question.
BTW, I just want to say that I love this program and managed to get most of my guild's healers and decursers to start using it after the patch.
I have an enormously silly question to ask: Is there a reason why a toon's health deficit doesn't display until the character is at about 75% health? And is there a way to change that--especially now with the second line of text in the center?
Yes, with Oh_Noes I usually have to push the minimum HP value up while in a raid if I want it to have a chance of unequipping my weapons before I die. However, outside of raids, the default setting of 4% (?) seems to work okay most of the time.
Can you suggest any way (Is there any way) to have ClosetGnome do a weapons swap for Evocation in the same way that Outfitter does? Sadly, I am not the master of macros. :-(
I think I have found the reason for nonsaving settings, Mobile Frames, as always. When I disable it everything is skinned on load. Too bad thuogh, I really like Mobile Frames, anyone have a replacement?
What if you aren't using Mobile Frames and you are still having issues with oSkin not saving settings? Any other probably culprits?
I'm having a strange problem with the viewport part of oSkin, that just cropped up over the weekend. Every time I log on a toon, oSkin does not load the Viewport settings until I pull up DeuceCommander and the oSkin config menu and run my cursor over the Viewport settings. I'm not sure what the issue is. I usually run the Ace Updater everyday or two, so it may be from a new version of the addon or perhaps from the fact that I deleted the old CT_Viewport .lua's from my characters' Saved Variable files.
I've tried deleting the oSkin folder from my Addons directory and the .lua files from the Saved Variables folder in the WTF directory and reinstalling and setting things up anew, but it didn't make the problem go away.
