Why isn't there just two buttons, one to update addons with externals, and one without? Seems like the simple solution.
Correct me if I am wrong here but doesn't f10 do just that without externals and f12 with externals?
The only issue I keep seeming to have is that when I update with f10 and Cartographer gets updated it still unzips the folders inside and outside of the main directory. I am pretty sure the problem is in the zip.
Also forcing only externals is a bad idea especially to those who use more than just a few ace mods.
Originally the idea was to have one set of libraries but since so many people when they first started out were still using ctmod/cosmos/gypsy they decided to appease the masses and give embedded libraries. Currently the way they have it now is fine. (in terms of end-user and with WAU)
Edit: in 1.7b4 it seems f10 updates with Externals vs 1.7b2 which seems do without Externals.
I prefer 1.7b2 method and place the f10 next to Install without Externals. I also see his point
about the tea, with the new feature of reinstall addons. (it is nice feature but not necesssary if you read I think the very first post and how it tells you how to reinstall addons through preferences. )
