    posted a message on Addon causing memory allocation error: block too big
    That the memory isn't attributed directly to an addon means that the responsible addon has already discarded the memory, but the garbage collector hasn't had a chance to free it yet (which could indicate that the addon doesn't reuse tables properly).

    Look at Recount. It has an increasing rate of almost 10 MB per second, but uses little over 13 MB total. This either means you had a huge combat log spike just when taking the screenshot (very improbable) or Recount fetches excessive amounts of memory without using it for longer than a frame or so. The memory is discarded and the GC goes apeshit trying to free it but fails.

    Try disabling Recount or switching off some of its' options so it doesn't track so much.

    The safe bet is to deactivate all addons and then reactivating them one by one. You should start with the Ace2 addons, as one (or more probable several) of them seems to be the culprit.

    This is not a Buffalo error, but an error of an addon named "beql". Buffalo only pops up here because Ace2 is loaded first from Buffalo's embedded version. beql uses Ace2 and triggers an error in it.

    This may or may not be a bug but...why isnt the debuffs colored anymore? (borders)
    Everything works fine except that the borders of the debuffs aint red or w/e depending on debuff - or is it intended?

    Can you try out the latest version (v1.01) and see if it has been fixed? Thank you.

    PS. Yikes, logged on by other account...

    Does this mean Oversun = EShiva? And good work on the fix, I've uploaded it to the svn and will tag it when I get confirmation that this is the same bug as EShiva reported.

    5. Is there a way to hide the bag bar and still be able to edit bags/bars? I just use my keybindings to open all my bags at once, I never click just one category.

    I just saw that I haven't answered that one (I have opened tickets for all other points), sorry.

    No, you will have to show the bag bar when you want to adjust settings for a bag. I actually never intended people to completely hide the bar, I only thought about adding a "Show on Mouseover" option (may be coming in v1.09, we'll see).

    I need some more information to fix this. You mentioned Buggrabber. If you also have Bugsack, there should be a red bag icon somewhere on your screen. Click it and copy the text. Post it here. If there are several errors, click through them with the buttons of bugsack and post all of them here.

    If you don't have Bugsack, you'll have to use slash commands:

    1. Enter "/buggrabber". This should elicit a response like "Usage: /buggrabber <1-3>". In this case it would mean that Buggrabber has grabbed 3 errors.
    2. Enter "/buggrabber 1" to see the first error. Copy the text and post it here. Repeat with "/buggrabber 2", "/buggrabber 3" and so on until you have all errors.

    I checked out the latest code (r209) and this is much more stable than the latest on curse. I'd give it a push out because what's already there is not at all usable.

    Thanks for the great work.

    I take that as a "Buffalo works on 3.0.2 live". Repository tagged.

    posted a message on Google Tech Talk: How To Design A Good API and Why it Matters
    Some of you may already know it, but I didn't, so chances are that there is still someone out there who hasn't seen this very interesting talk about designing APIs by Joshua Bloch:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAb7hSCtvGw

    Some landmarks:

    • When in doubt, leave it out
    • Principal of least astonishment (i.e. don't surprise the user of your library)
    • Name the functions according to their function
    • If you can't name it concisely, don't add it
    About an hour long. For me, the audio was shifted a few seconds relative to the video, so his gestures sometimes seem a little strange, but that shouldn't deter you from listening to this great talk.

    posted a message on Will not stay Hidden
    You said it shows up again when you log in and out. Are you sure that your db is set up properly so the option is saved? Try putting some debug messages in your code like so:
      function Addonnamehere:xpbar()
        if self.db.profile.xpbar then
          DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Hiding")
          local frames = {MainMenuExpBar, ExhaustionTick, MainMenuBarMaxLevelBar}
          for _,frame in pairs(frames) do frame:Hide() end
          MainMenuExpBar.pauseUpdates = true
        else
          DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Showing")
          MainMenuExpBar.pauseUpdates = nil
          MainMenuExpBar:Show()
        end

    And see what's showing up in the chat.

    Occasionally (mostly when I have some question about library APIs or something)

    Edit: v1.07 is out. Only suitable for WoW version 3.02 or later. 1ndustrial's points 3 and 4 have been addressed.

    v1.04 should be on curse after the next syndication. The bag placement bug should be fixed, hotkeys have been added as well as triggers to open bags automatically at vendors, bank, mailbox, etc.

    Everything seems to have went fine with the commit, there was just an initialization missing :-).

    Gabriel, could you try again with revision 208? (Or later).

    What Allara said. If the users use it, fine. If not, I can at least use it as a TODO list and file reports and requests from the forum there myself for later reference.

    Glad you like it. Some thougts about your points:

    1. I will contact curse about this. The no-lib version is also what is downloaded as zip when installing manually. I haven't found an option to set the default version to download.
    2. I'd rather not replace the default bag buttons with Luggage bag buttons (that would result in awkward code as I would have to create bag buttons without a corresponding Luggage bag bar). But I could provide an option to just hide them (although this will not take care of the default artwork arround the bag buttons).
    2.5 Keybindings. Good point, coming up in the near future.
    3. Sorting is planned. What other sort options would people use? By name, obviously. Quality? Stack count?
    4. Thanks for reporting this. Do you use UI scale? If yes, at what value is it?
    5. There is no 5
    6. I will try and think of something. I'll probably put the title in the bag frame itself, that will cut away the edges of the title frame and the padding between title and bag itself.
    7. Low priority (proper filters should alleviate the need for searches somewhat), but possible in a later version.
    * I'll see if I can add an option to apply settings to all bags at once.

    By the way, you can also use curseforge's ticket system to report bugs and request features. But if you feel uncomfortable with it for any reason, feel free to post them here (or in any other place I'm likely to find it).
