    Hi,

I've search but couldn't find how to do this:
I don't want the ugly lfd roles icon. I'd like to make a new text to show what role each person is by their names like D for DPS, T for Tank, H for Healer.

Look in the lua text thread, theres a post there for exactly that function (i use it)

Are there any ideas about this?
It would be very good for my hunter to see my focus another place too.

I don't know it its implemented yet but i have seen talk about being possible to create multiple player frames, that would let you create one with just the focus bar and place anywhere

I dont see anywhere in the layout editor to configure auras or reposition them.

Positioning is all under the "aura" tab in the layouts.

Filters you set up under modules-aura, then select the filter in layout-aura

    Hi Kerecha,
I don't get any extra graphics on the toast frame.
Do you mean the Tutorial frame when you talk about the 'info popup about pallys holypower' ?

Aye, gotta be the tutorial frame (poped when i visited the trainer with the pally). both the standard button and the X left a "ghostgraphic" (looked like a bugged border texture)

For the toastframe i get a constant "ghostborder" from the X button, ill get some screenies next time i log on.

Yeah, I think removing buffs is the only thing thats not working, so glad to have it in some form :)

When you say secure function does that mean it can never do it or just needs some change?

From the looks of it that ability is just gone unless theres some other way to do it.

Getting some buggy ghost graphics from buttons (the x button from toastframe for instance has a buggy border always showing even when the frame isn't there) the info popup about pallys holypower also generates them.

But for the main part stuff seems to be working okayish no gamebreakers sofar

The systems are comnpletely different, you will have to redo it from scratch

Here is how I used it: I configed my setup with Ace2. Copied the saved variable over. Installed the Ace3 version.

The Ace3 version is compatible with the older saved variables.

That way you retain the config of your old setup without having a config gui.

This is not user friendly but worked for me. The addon itself (bag functions etc) worked. It lacks some bug fixes (because I did this a while ago) but a diff should fix that.

Literally the only thing missing is the config UI because it uses dewdrop menus extremely heavily and redoing all this is a major piece of work.

Hmm, done some testing and i can't seem to get it to read my SV's instead i get some sort of a default.

edit: and now i broke something so it dosent load :p

On the comparison of AdiBags and Baggins, they are not fully equivalent. AdiBags does a lot of things in the spirit of Baggins though, including deep stacks.

The things that it does not offer are:
    1) Custom categories and flexible rules
    2) Separate bags

On 1) I found AdiBags categories to be very sensible and very close to the way I had my Baggins rules set up. So for me this was a pragmatic non-issue. Other people's situation may vary. I would say that AdiBags does a good job offering sensible categories of good granularity.

On 2) I prefer separate bags, but I found it not to be a dealbreakers. Again people's views may vary.

On Baggins survival, an Ace3 port does exist and as best I know is fully functional, but it has no config UI. I pitched it a long time ago and got no signs of interest in either helping redo the config UI in Ace3-friendly ways nor in general adoptions of a drive to have a port. I wouldn't have time to do this work on my own because it is indeed a lot of work and I have more on my plate than I should have already.

My current take is that I can live with AdiBags. It's not 100% what I want but close enough that I'm happy with it. Baggins too was not 100%. It had some cludges that I disliked. A perfect bag addon, in my mind is still to be made but I think both Baggins and AdiBags (and Tuller's, forgot the name) deserve praise for pointing quite far in the right direction. I think Baggins got the farthest.

Guess ill have a look at that ace3 port to see if i can make it work for me, unf i lack the knowhow to help "completing" it or i would gladly had helped (im just good at making things break and nitpick about details :p)

Edit: when i manage to remember how to pick stuff of the svn *slaps self*

    You totally missed AdiBags, then.

1: Adi is "all in one" only and does not allow the creation of multiple independent bags
2: Adi does not combine stacks (or atleast didn't when i tested it)

Aslo for baggins, there seem to be no other bagaddon that combines multiple stacks into one for display pupose (instead of showing 25 slots with Infinite Dusts stacks it shows 1 with the number 500 on it) and that is a total dealbreaker for me.

How is that so different from having a bunch of custom categories in an all-in-one bag? All of those extra bag frames just take up more space; why not integrate them?

Here are my bags on my shaman:

They take up a lot less space then a huge clunky "all in one" since i don't open all of them every time i open my bags, i only open the one i actually need to look in, like Proffession to check how much mats i have on me, Gear to check if im carrying all my offgear with me, quest to see how many of those pesky relics im carrying, Consumables to check my stocks and if i wanna check unfiltered items or junk/nukefodder i open the "Other" bag.
