Just an update from me. Linux Mint is the single best thing I have ever seen, and Compiz Fusion 3D is the single best graphics program I have ever seen, I am giddy like a school girl. Please do visit Youtube and type in Compiz Fusion and check it out. You will drool, I promise.
sure looks nice, but after a while id get annoyed with all the flying crap.
its like with vista for the first time, you're all giddy the first few days then its like dude wtf that shit is annoying.
I'm not sure if it's a bug or a mistake of mine but, as you can see in my updatePower function, i want to hide rogues/druids energy when it's at max, it works just fine but, let's say i target a paladin with 6000 mana then directly switch to a rogue, it shows me the rogue with 6000 energy, what's wrong ?
finaly got my PC back, so been updating this a bit.
Dont know whether i like the background, btw its self-expanding depending on raid size.
looks nice zariel, illl make sure you to dl it for our SW raid tomorrow and check it out.
though the previous version was pretty flawless imo.
might wanna add aggro coloring if you havnt already, atm i have the names colored red which imo is just enough to get your attention.
I'd say the debuff icons are a bit too big and cover most of the healthbar. Sometimes you can just ignore debuffs or the whole raid gets a debuff. Then you have a hard time figuring out who needs healing. Maybe move them to the top, topcorner or make them smaller.
the debuff size is fine, you have prioritized debuffs for a reason, if a debuff doesnt need attention simply dont add it to the file.
the reason you add debuffs is cause the require immediate attention, and moving or resizing would make it harder to notice them.
when you do sunwell you will realize just how important this is.
then place the folder inside litestep ie C:\LiteStep\Rainmeter
then go into the theme dir you're currently using and add this like to either theme.rc or step.rc depending on what they use.
but in the root of that specific theme
and add this at the top where they load modules
LoadModule $litestepdir$Rainmeter\Rainmeter.dll
in the rar file i've download like 15 skins already so you can just fire em up and check em out
Objectdesktop, I believe, is made by StarDock. They do a bunch of programs, which you can (I think) get as a bundle, or on its own. Objectdesktop isn't free - I believe none of them are.
yup exactly my point. thats why litestep is so awesome.
however it cant do what say windowblinds does, but then again thers always windowstyles
I did it the super easy way. I used Objectdock. However, I've just used Wubi to install Ubuntu on my machine so I have been playing around with that. If I can get my stupid internet connection to work for Ubuntu, I may never go back to Windows. So much more to learn as i have never used linux, but I already like it better.
you could easily achieve the same thing with litestep and it doesnt cost ya anything.
i think objectdock actually does cost somehting right ?
if i change the font, does it need to be in the theme folder? or in windows/fonts? cause "case" is using kroeger 05_55 as font but i can't find it anywhere.
you really should consider adding scrolling text for your winamp in one of the eyes and maybe add some statustext for the other eye
with some nice fonts and outline that could look truly cool
did something similar myself
clicking on the head toggles 3 diff states one showing cpu/Ram usage another one winamp text and the last one uptime
and clicking on the heart toggles the text on and off or the winamp controls on and off
All the little icons are clickable to take you to files and folders. Still a bit of work left to do on it and I truly need a new garbage can icon. But its been fun to make!
kinda what ive been thinking to do as well.
integrate clickable icons into my wallpaper.
just feels like its gonna be to much work
and one more question, tho i haven't search'd yet, do you happen to know if there is a LS module for Zune? instead of winamp?
btw thanks a lot for all the help! its really appreciated :)
your best bet is to browse through http://www.shellfront.org/modules-list.php
all modules that exists i think.
there is one module called budharta something, its doc is in chines, does have som interesting commands for winamp might work for zune as well.
EDIT. it's called gandharva, no idea if it can control zane though since i cant read chinese or japanese.

needs to be in windows font folder.
nice wallpaper, and looks pretty nice overall
if you dont have it i can rar it up for ya.
her's what i got currently
thinking of making some sort of status display that displays current hover action and animating the control bar outta the little fella.
though i just can'cba as it's working as i want it, so merely cosmetic changes.
and definetly make new control icons, they just dont fit in atm.

ill upload my rainmeter, was a living hell to get it to function.

as module. i found or think that rainmeter is better as it has weather options.
though its just a matter of taste i guess
id definetly go with rainmeter, far better looking skins.
