    To Coldfury: are you still planning to write a MT/MTT plugin for oUF ?

    maybe, don't know yet.

    some settings that might be interesting for health/power...

    something.Deplete -- it depletes instead of filling up

    something.Vertical -- Vertical instead of horizontal

    something.ClassColored -- self explanatory

    something.Gradient = true
    something.Gradient1 = 255,255,255 or classcolor -- full
    something.Gradient2 = 125,125,125 -- 50%
    something.Gradient3 = 25,25,25 -- empty

    etc..

    tried it the following way

    local function OnEnter(self)
       local color = RAID_CLASS_COLORS[select(2, UnitClass(unit))]
       self.Name:SetTextColor (color.r, color.g, color.b)

       if(unit=="pet" and unitclass=="HUNTER") then
       Local color = oUF.colors.happiness[GetPetHappiness()]

       if InCombatLockdown() then return end
       UnitFrame_OnEnter(self)
    end

    <

    dont have much time as i need to go to work, but my guess is that "unit" and "unitclass" aren't defined anywhere in there.

    don't know if its still in oUF, but before, you could access unitid of a frame by using self.Unit so try something like

    local function OnEnter(self)
       local unit = self.Unit
       local unitclass = select(2, UnitClass(unit))

       if(unit=="pet" and unitclass=="HUNTER") then
         local color = oUF.colors.happiness[GetPetHappiness()]
       else
         local color = RAID_CLASS_COLORS[select(2, UnitClass(unit))]
       end
       self.Name:SetTextColor (color.r, color.g, color.b)

       if InCombatLockdown() then return end
       UnitFrame_OnEnter(self)
    end

    :SetPoint() is one of my favorite widget functions :(And that will set the width automatically, which makes :SetPoint superior to :SetWidth.

    what do you mean?

    from my pov, both methods are equal since in both cases the fontstring will have defined dimensions. what am i missing?

    got a problem.. i want to truncate names just on my targettarget frame... but somehow it doesnt work.

    if unit=="targettarget" then
    if string.len(UnitName(unit)) > 12 then
    self.Name:SetText(string.lower(name:sub(1, 12)).."...")
    else
    self.Name:SetText(string.lower(name))
    end
    end

    instead of truncating it like that and add "..." at the end, you could simply define the width of the fontstring.

    ie. if i set my target's name width to 50px, instead of showing "Lighterfluid" it shows "Light..."

    just play with the width to achieve your goal.

    I put that code in the Ammo.lua file, changed the directory for the textures to media...and when I go back in the game my entire screen is grey...

    I know I'm not much of a lua guy, but any idea what I'm doing wrong?

    Posting it again, since it's driving me absolutely mad.

    the only way to get your party to hide while in raid is with a script.(thats what you wanna do right?)

    you can make the script update by events like "party_member_changed", etc.. or by the single event "CVAR_UPDATE"(something like that, some1 posted it some posts ago) and use the default interface option "Hide party while in raid".

    theeeeere we go, thank you, i could have searched for yours, i was typig TexT instead of Tex... :p

    Edit: well i might probably be dumb but even after reading that, i don't don't understand this (0.57, 0.90, 0.08, 0.41)

    in simple, those define the position of the borders of the visible area starting from the topleft corner of the image file.

    in other words, the left side will be at 57% from the left edge.
    right side will be at 90% from the left edge.
    top side will be at 8% from the top.
    and bottom will be at 41% from the top.

    ie the pics

    and I have to find out how I can change the reaction colors for ouf ... cause the normal green looks SO DAMN UNSEXY.

    create your own color table
    reactioncolor = {
      [1] = { r = 75/255, g = 200/255, b = 255/255}, -- Exceptionally hostile
      [2] = { r = 226/255, g = 45/255, b = 75/255}, -- Very Hostile
      [3] = { r = 255/255, g = 178/255, b = 0}, -- Hostile
      [4] = { r = 1, g = 1, b = 34/255}, -- Neutral
      [5] = { r = 0, g = 1, b = 1} -- Friendly
      [6] = { r = 75/255, g = 200/255, b = 255/255}, -- Very Friendly
      [7] = { r = 226/255, g = 45/255, b = 75/255}, -- Exceptionally friendly
      [8] = { r = 255/255, g = 178/255, b = 0}, -- Exalted
    },

    then use "local color = reactioncolor[UnitReaction(unit, "player")]"

    instead of creating a function to call another function, why not directly call updateName with the event?

    if unit == "pet" then
    	self:RegisterEvent"UNIT_HAPPINESS"
    	self.UNIT_HAPPINESS = updateName
    end

    and delete updateHappiness function.
