You probably have Cartographer_Quests and/or Cartographer_QuestObjectives set up such that you see other players quest info. I'm not on a WoW box right now, so I can't tell you the exact setting, but go into Cartographer settings for each of those, and IIRC, the options you want to shut off are clearly named.
I'm not understanding what you mean. Do you mean that the icons from other icon packs aren't showing on the minimap for notes you've created to use the icons explicitly? Using a different icon pack doesn't change all of your note icons (possibly it could, but it's incredibly unlikely the icon pack is set up that way), it gives you additional icons to choose from when creating notes yourself. I've not looked at icon pack code in a long time, but if you can explain your problem better I'll see if I can help you.
Maybe I'm not seeing this problem since I'm running disembedded. Did you update Cartographer as well? The problem is with underlying libraries (at least, in this case, the SpecialEventsEmbed lib), not Cartographer_QuestObjectives itself. Depending on how you update and whether or not you are using embedded libs, you may just need to get the latest SpecialEventsEmbed lib.
I see Xuerian checked in an update to it; first trying updating Cartographer again and go from there.
I can't seem to make it happen anymore. I was not seeing nnTrainers notes. Went into nnTrainers options and saw all of the filters were unchecked. Checked the option to autoselect and saw the notes appear. Made sure that the auto filter option in the main settings was enabled and then logged in and out several times. Haven't had it mess up since then, so I have no idea why it's happening.
Didn't remove saved variables anytime; only fiddled with turning on all trainer notes, no trainer notes, and lastly, enable auto select.
If you open your map and click the Cartographer button, do they appear in the list on the left? If so, make sure each is enabled (there is a checkbox in the config under each).
Maybe you were using FuBar_ToFu or InFlight? They place flightmaster icons on your map if you're using Cartographer. I'm not aware of a carto-specific module that does it.
Trying out GatherMate for the first time and went to import my Carto data. That went fine for herbalism and mining, but none of my treasure nodes were imported at all. Is there some secret toggle I'm missing?
The problem would only be partially solved by applying what's known as "natural sorting" (which would put "step 2-9" before "step 10-19"). Right now, the sidelist is only sorted alphabetically (then by note ID if two note names are identical).
The second part of the problem is that the sidelist has no way to tell that the "step 2-9" should ideally be grouped under a different "level" note. The sort order that works for you is probably specific to your situation and if the sidelist always sorted the General category that way, there's a good chance it would be incorrect for other people. Did you create these notes manually or were they created by an addon? If they were created by an addon, it may be possible to have those notes appear in a category of their own and sort them however makes more sense.
is there a standalone addon, which shows on mouseover a little extrainformation in the tooltip about how many of this item you have in bags, bank etc like arkinv does?
I've been using Siz's Possessions and WhoHas for this for ages with no problems. Unfortunately WhoHas doesn't work with ArkInventory as a backend or I'd drop Possessions.

What category (the yellow header above them in the list) do they appear under?
