Ok after yet more hours tweaking, I think I've settled with this. (minus any minor tweaking here and there) Unless I can get used to keybindings on everything, I've settled on this for action buttons atm. Once I get back into playing, I'll know if I need to alter anything. But here is my latest greatest attempt at an UI. Please comment on it further please. Your comments have proved very valuable in my trek for the right UI.
BTW: that empty space between my buffs and my blessings is obviously for more buffs. I've set it up so that I can fit 14 buffs down there. 2 rows of 7.

All right. After a few more hours tweaking my UI to the suggestions of this board, this is what I've got so far. I've set the same type of font throughout. I've set up font sizes to my liking. The macro to switch between recount and omen has been amazing so far. I did get rid of the one Fubar bar and have settled with just the one. I've added a chat mod that seems to look much nice. I've also put on a SunnArt panel. I'm still not completely done with this but I'd like any further suggestions/concerns with where I'm at now. I'm gonna try and tweak a few more things yet. I'm also thinking of bringing the map back down and sticking it in the bottom middle of my UI. What do you all think?
Jun 12, 2008I've just set up chatter for the 1st time and have one question: How do I get the most recent thing typed in chat NOT to show up in a slightly larger font than the rest of chat. The most recent post always appears slightly bigger than the rest of chat until the next message appears. Any help?Posted in: General AddOns

I'll try to give you some ideas I've come to after playing around modifying then finally scrapping and starting on my own UI.
1. Pick the same textures/fonts. Use them everywhere. I use Graphite and Enigma on everything, so it all looks put together.
2. You don't need to see Omen and Recount at the same time. I use a macro to toggle them back and forth, and my HUD has a threat bar on it. Put them on top of each other, and use a /recount toggle;/omen toggle macro.
2.5. Move your chat down in the space Omen is in. Clears a ton of your screen up.
3. Move the top FuBar buttons to the bottom, or the other way around. There's no need for both bars.
4. Make your action bar buttons waaaaaaay smaller. If you're a clicker, stop. Right now. Make them smaller, and if you leave gaps in the middle like that enable the "empty button frame" so it doesn't look so choppy.
Do that and repost, and I'll go from there :D
I will see what I can do with the chat panel. Is it possible to get Omen to only be open "in combat" and Recount open only in "out of combat"? I will go through and make everything the same font/texture once I have some free time. Good idea on that. Fubar... that's my preference so that'll probably stay, but Ill see what I can do. Is that exactly how I'd write that macro? I don't have much experience with macro's so if you give me the exactly text for it I'd really like to try it out. And the action bars... I'm still experimenting with that as well. I'm a clicker but am trying to force myself out of it as much as I can. I have one bar hidden to the right with a Shift modifier on all my basic jobs/professions/healthstone and mount stuff.
Thanks for the help and I will repost in a few days once I have a few days to update it. Any other suggestions or concerns out there that would help?
Jun 9, 2008My 1st try at a custom UI. Please let me know where I can improve things or what I've actually got right. I can take the heat...Posted in: General Chat
