    Thank you for the detailed response. What about the range and dead people issue? Is my quick hotfix the way to go? when people died (or even myself) and didn't release, the frame alpha automatically greyed them out if I only used 30 or 40 yard range check, even if the bodies were still in range for Rez.

    I am using the most recent release version on wowinterface.com: 1.30300.1290. I also had the same issue with the most recent alpha release.

    I'm having an issue that puzzles me. I noticed that when people died, I couldn't tell if they were in range any more. The only thing I had checked for Frame Alpha was "More than 40 yards away." The options I had for range were 10 yards, 30 yards, 40 yards, and 100 yards. I noticed the dead person range problem only occurred for 30 and 40 yard range checks.

    But when I logged on to a different toon, the range checks I could do were 10 yards, 28, 38, and 100. Both toons were set to "Default" Profile.

    i looked through the gridRange.lua file in the actual grid folder (not saved variables) and noticed that it only has a setup for 10, 28, 38, and 100. When I manually added:

    local function checkRange40(unit)
    return UnitInRange(unit)
    end

    and addRange(40, checkRange40)

    it fixed not being able to tell the range of dead people issue.

    However, puzzled by the issue of having different range checks on different characters, I decided to wipe clean my grid and try starting it over (I was due for a fresh setup anyways). I backed up my grid.lua in Saved Variables and deleted everything and reinstalled everything.

    And then I realized: I could no longer find Center Text 2 as one of my Frame options. I vaguely seem to recall having had an extra mod like GridCenterText2 or something previously, but I definitely don't have it any more, nor can I find it anywhere on the internet. I ended up having to restore my grid.lua file in Saved Variables to get CenterText2 back again, and deal with the strange range issue by editing GridRange.lua again.

    Any thoughts?

    I finally uninstalled it. Now.. I'm not good at computers so I don't really know what was going on. But what I do know is that wowaceupdater never gave me problems, (I use Windows XP) and curse has broken my addons so many times it's a good thing I had a backup of my interface folder. There are some addons that have been continued where curse reinstalled the old, nonfunctioning one because of same name or something, and today I ran curse client and logged in to get an error from LibDogTag-3.0 and Libdogtag-unit 3.0 where my hp and target hp were no longer being shown on pitbull. I tried manually installing the libs and had to roll back to my old pitbull. So.. I'm done, I guess. I LOVED wau and it's going to be hard going back to manually updating.

    Thanks. Your post helped me a lot -- it seems to have been a problem with an outdated plugin (GridLayoutPlus) and i replaced it with GridAutoFrameSize and I think it's fixed the problem.

    Hi- I've been having a problem with Grid. I assume it's come up before because a friend of mine that I just introduced to grid is having the same problem, but I've read through about ten pages and have to leave for a bit, so I wanted to ask the question to see if anyone recognizes the problem, and if there's an easy fix.

    When I enter an Arena game, or sometimes a smaller BG, the entire Grid border/frame area expands as if there were many players.. sometimes as if there were 20 or 40 players, when there are only 2-3 (arena) or 10-15 (non-AV bg) .. so there is a lot of empty space within the entire grid frame. To fix this problem, i usually have to open Grid config and uncheck dynamic layout, and then check it again.. which will then adjust the layout to the proper size. I've tried just leaving dynamic layout off in config and had the same problem, so i'm not sure if it's dynamic layout or something else. Any thoughts?

    Is it possible to have different keybindings on different characters? I want my mage action bar to go from 1-0, for instance, but on my paladin i wanted to be able to have 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, ... (skipping 5). I've tried saving different profiles and such, but no good. ETA to delete part about invalid profiles, as that turned out to be when i tried to set current profile.. :(

    Hi,

    I love Dominos, but I'm having a major problem.

    I keep having my action bar 1 turn into another action bar. I'm not sure what I'm doing that makes it do this, but for instance, my action bar 1 buttons will all of a sudden be replaced by another action bar's buttons. this is corrected when i log in and log back in. it's happened very often. maybe there's a button combination that i'm pressing to cause this? Please help, it's really really very bad when it happens in the mddle of PVP or instances.

    Having the same issue. there are two spheres in the middle of my screen, and my cryolysis became just one big icon of i think Warlock Fear texture (is this a joke? :P) as if I didn't fear warlocks enough already!


    this is what shows up if i mouse over the two spheres in the middle of my screen: Also, this happened before I updated anything.. it worked fine last night, I woke up and this is what happens. *** EDITED TO ADD*** this is probably not true, as I think i sometimes subconsciously run wow ace updater.     Ok, finally decided to ditch Baggins for Combuctor. Combuctor is just sooo amazing. I'll just add my voice to asking for custom tabs, and also for bagnon_forever to check mailboxes and to keep track of things I send to my known alts. For now I'm combining Combuctor+Bagnon_Forever+Whohas+Poss+Mrplow.. haha

    i really want the self heals showing on both sides to be fixed. I did see that someone had posted a way to edit the .lua file, but I'd really feel happier with this being done to the addon more officially, since it doesn't seem right. My seal of light shows up on both sides, and it's unnecessary spam, I think!

    I have had this problem on my mage. I was like what happened to my cast?!?! and the spell would eventually go off without my being able to see my cast bar.

    Thanks for the reply! I played around with it a bit, but it's harder to configure, unfortunately, than Power Auras. I couldn't get the cooldown of spells to work, but that doesn't work in Power Auras (cont.) either atm.. and probably my inability to do it in Avion is just my lack of expertise. However, I couldn't figure out how to show my lacking a buff only when in combat (for instance, lacking any type of seal whatsoever on my pld, only when in combat).. if that's not currently possible, it's a really nice feature to have I think..
