I ran into a small issue last night while healing a raid. Since this was a new addon for me, I tested it before the raid to see if it would remember to recast Earth Shield on my tank and it did. Being happy about this, I remove my '/cast [target=focus] Earth Shield' and we went inside. ZOMG reminded me that I needed to rebuff Earth Shield when all the charges were gone, but when I pressed my hotkey, nothing happened. I kept spamming the hotkey but it never recast Earth Shield. But as soon as the mob died, the key worked and cast the buff.
I tried looking for any options that disables the key-bind while in-combat, but didn't see anything. After sifting through the posts in this thread, I see others saying that you only have to click the icon. I prefer to use key-binds to clicking as I use a [target=mouseover] macro for my healing. So is ZOMG actually disabling my key-bind for it in-combat and am I missing some option to turn that off? Aside from this, I've been very impressed with it and it could very easily replace Smartbuff if I could just get it to cast in-combat through the key-bind.

Mar 18, 2008Is it possible to see who is keyed up on Ventrillo through Pitbull's interface? A guildie told me that he tends to prefer X-Perl for this feature. I dug around in Pitbull and found out that it does indeed have indicators for the in-game voice chat, but I have yet to find anything about Ventrillo.Posted in: Unit Frames
Mar 13, 2008I've been using Quartz for some time now, but until recently I was using Chronometer to keep track of buffs and debuffs in combat. Then one day while messing around, I found out I could do most things with Quartz that Chronometer was doing, so I thought 'Great, one less addon means a little faster load time'. But since removing Chronometer, I've been missing one feature. Timer bars for my shaman's totems. I've been digging around inside Quartz, looking to see if there was a disabled module that I was missing. So far I haven't found it. So, in short, does Quartz have support for Totem Timers?Posted in: General AddOns
And yes, I'm aware that Totem Timers will be available with 2.4, but let's face it, sometimes addons are better than the Blizzard supplied alternatives.
Mar 13, 2008I would like to get some clarification on the install process for TinyTip2. After my previous post, Thrae mentioned installing via the WAU, which I've been using religiously for almost 6 months now. Looking through the thread I see people commenting on installing WITH and WITHOUT externals.Posted in: General AddOns
After Thrae's comment, I once again completely removed my TinyTip folders and any associated .wtf files. With my first install, I installed TinyTip and TinyTipOptions directly through the WAU 'WITHOUT' externals. Doing this produced no error messages, but I was getting the default Blizzard Tooltips. I was able to enter the in-game config menu with /tinytip, but none of the changes were reflected in the tooltip.
Going with the assumption that I had mis-understood the post saying to install WITHOUT externals, I then did another clean install WITH externals. TinyTip2 now works, complete with working in-game menu, but I'm back to getting two lines of guild names in the ToolTip, although ToT is working fine with just one line.
Am I missing something about the install process or is it possible there might be some conflict with ImmersionRP causing guild names to be shown twice?
Mar 11, 2008I just wanted to post to say that since I first used TinyTip (seems like ages ago), it has been one of my favorite addons. Ever since the re-code started I've been patiently updating and watching the work in progress. As it is, I'm currently using TinyTip and TinyTipModules and it works fine for me. As Thrae has stated, there is no gui yet, but that's fine by me.Posted in: General AddOns
The only, very minor, issue I have is that guild names and ToT are shown twice. Thinking this was an issue with my old wtf files, I removed them and re-installed TinyTip, but I still get the double guild/ToT messages. I'm pretty sure this is a known issue and I'm waiting patiently for the updates.
Great work on this add-on Thrae. Don't go nuts over those who seem to think that you get paid to code add-ons and keep up the good work.
