    working much better - however I still have one issue. the new smart minimize works great, however if it minimizes to 1 line of text and multi lines come through, it doesn't auto resize the window, but places the text above the chat as before. Seems to happen most often with the General and Local Defense channels. It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough that I notice it.

    Also - whenever I change the direction it minimizes/maximizes from (up/down) - it reloads the ui - otherwise it's working great!

    I love the idea of this mod, but I'm having some issues with it that I hope can be resolved. I use PRAT and SimpleCombatLog along with MiniChat.

    Issue 1:
    When I minimize the window, if I get messages that wrap to multiple lines, it minimized the window to 1 line, but all lines of the long message show up (others have reported this as well).

    Issue 2:
    The minimize/maximize button keeps going away.....it just disappears. If I get a whisper, or if one of the events I set to auto maximize fires, the button comes back. If I click it to minimize the chat frame it disappears again. If I reload the UI the button comes back, but as soon as I click on it - away it goes. I'm using the version I download today off the SVN.

    Hope that made sense.

    Edit - I tried creating another profile and had the same issues w/ the new one. I finally decided to just reset the profile and it started working again. Not sure what I messed with in the gui that caused the issue, but it's not happening anymore.

    I brought this up in another thread (I think..it's been a loooong week) but never saw a response. when i set the main chat frame to justify right or center, I can no longer click on anything in the frame (i.e loot links - user names, etc). If I return to left justification all goes back to normal. I keep updating my version to see if it's resolved, and thus far....nada. Just wanted to report again.

    I've noticed an issue lately (using current vs. on SVN today - but started w/ older version I dl'd 4 weeks ago) - when I set my main chat window to be Right justified, I lose the ability to click on anything in my chat. i.e I can no longer click on names to whisper, etc.....I can't click on loot to see the items. Nothing in the chat is clickable anymore. This has happened w/ multiple vs' from the svn. If I delete my saved variables the function returns....but as soon as I set the justification it goes away. Anyone else see this?

    I'm wondering if this idea is even possible and am hoping some people with a better understanding of writing mods can help me.

    Let me preface my idea with a lil' background. I set up some very detailed UIs using Ace add ons and Discord Art. I like to have all my elements tied together to be both functional and good looking - a common goal for many UI builders. Here is an example of a concept project I'm working on.

    The side bar is Basically just Simple Minimap, ag Unit Frames, Bartender 3, cyCircled and some Discord Art textures (w/ conditions) behind them. Here's my idea for a change or addition to how Ace mods interact - possibly this would include a new Ace lib or the modification of one.

    Wouldn't it be cool if I could move all of those mods AT THE SAME TIME. It is easy for me to tie the Discord Art Texture all to the Minimap via its config, thus when I move Simple Minimap, all the textures move at the same time and do not need to be readjusted. However, I then have to move the ag Unit Frames and Bartender. I think it would be awesome if there was a way to tie the Ace mods to one another.

    Having played with DART, I see how it is possible (using the frame finder) to verify the frame name and attach the texture to it, instead of leaving it tied to UIParent. The mod/lib I envision would provide the ability (probably through the pop-up menus) to tie Ace mods to each other instead of just the UI Parent. For example, if I used the ag Unitframes Fubar plugin, I'd have a new option to anchor my frames to the minimap. If I used the Bartender 3 fubar plugin, same thing. I unlock my Ace mods - place them where I want them and re-lock. Now - when I move the minimap ALL the elements move together.

    Basically, this would create the same kind of functionality we see when using a standard Windows or Mac operating system - I can drag and drop my control panel anywhere I want it on the screen and all the elements follow along. The possibilities this would create for UI development would be phenomenal - UIs would no longer have to be stationary - say I want to move that entire control bar from my concept UI - I click the minimap and drag it to the left side of the screen and everything tied to it follows along.

    I don't know if this is possible, and I can imagine the amount of coding that would be required, not just to develop a lib, but to then have the Ace mod authors incorporate it (if they wish to) - but in the end I think that this kind of functionality would be absolutely amazing.

    So - that's my 2 cents - I apologize if what I'm suggesting isn't possible or doesn't interest anyone else, but the thought of having a mobile UI layout that incorporates various different elements seems like such a fascinating idea to me.

    Yes - I use AGUF, but the portraits can't be moved/resized independantly. I actually posted to the bugs/suggestions google site with that as a suggestion as well. I'm going to check out Rumil's 3D, but from the site it doesn't look as if they can be resized - just moved around. Maybe I can contact the author to see how to resize them within the code. Either way, though, I think an ACE version of a 3D model/portrait mod would be suh-weet.

    ModelMagic seems to have everything I could want, but it's no longer being developed and the one hacked version i found was bugtastic. If someone is interested in developing this kind of mod, this might be a good mod to start with.

    Oh, how I wish I knew how to create add ons, but I'm a moron when it comes to coding.

    First - let me preface this by saying I know NOTHING - ZILCH - NADA about writing add ons, so I apologize if what I'm requesting/suggesting is either A- Impossible or B- too difficult to make it worth it.

    There are a few 3D animated mods available, ZMC and ADAPT probably being the 2 most common. ADAPT is limiting in that it only replaces the default portraits and is dependent upon your unit frames. Zuxana Model Citizen works independent from your Unit Frames and provides nice customization (you can scale to portrait or full figure) and when combined with ZMD you can save your model settings - but only on a model-by-model basis - thus you literally have to adjust things for just about every mob and boss in the game (tedious to say the least).

    My suggestion is thus - I would love to see an ACE2 based 3D model add on that could be used independently with ANY unit frame mod. The basic options I'd love to see are:

      --A config screen (or FuBar plugin!) to setup the addon
      --Player, Target, and Party models with ability to show, hide, and hide in Raid
      --Change the Width & Height of the model box
      --Toggle "full" or "portrait" views - full 3d figure or just 3d portrait view
      --Ability to drag and drop the model boxes
      --A "lock" feature to keep the model boxes in the spot/place you left them
      --A feature that shows the model box outline when unlocked so that it can be aligned with whatever other elements easily


    Basically - this would be like a combo of ADAPT and ZMC, but ACE'd with a very easy to use config screen with only basic options. If someone is interested in working on something like this, I'd love to help in any way I can. Also - if anyone else is interested in something like this, please /sign or /bump this post!

    I'll preface this by saying I know nothing about mod development or lua coding, so if this suggestion is a huge undertaking, I apologize.

    I like the ADAPT-esque 3D portraits that work with some layouts, and I miss them with others. I love that AGUF lets me choose to show the portrait on a per unitframe basis (target, player, party, etc). I just wish I could show portraits with all layouts.

    Which brings me to my suggestion - it would be nice to have the portraits separated from the unit frames completely. For example, lets say I want to have my targets portrait animated and showing, but I'm using a layout that doesn't support it. When I set this, I get the target's 3D portrait separate from the rest of the unitframe, and I can now drag and drop it where I want it. Thus, if I want to use a layout that doesn't support the portraits, I can set the portrait where I want it and then modify the rest of the unit frame however I like within the constraints of the mod/layout. So, I guess my suggestion is to have the portraits separated from all layouts that don't support them so that the portraits can be turned on/off and moved independently of the rest of the unit frame.

    I don't know how possible this is, but it would open up a lot of new and exciting layout possibilities. Thanks for reading!

    First - I love this mod. It allows me to really tie in my action bars with the rest of my UI to get that completely custom feel.

    I have just one odd request. Is there anyway to get cycircled to work with Buffalo? I just think it would be neat to be able to have your buff/debuff icons match the action bars. I realize Buffalo isn't an action bar mod, which is what cycircled is targeted at....but it would be awesome to be able to custom the buff/debuff icons as well. It's an odd request, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

    On another note (and I apologize if this is mentioned elsewhere in this topic, but I didn't find it with a quick search), I have problems with the middle frames dissappearing when I log out/in or do a ui reload....but not all of them and not all the time. It only seems to happen with middle frames 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. I use the fubar plugin, when I look at the middle frame settings, those frames are still checked...when I remove the check...they come back onto my screen. When I reload or log, they go away. I replace the check and they're back. When I reload/log it starts all over again. I'm using the latest version from the SVN (downloaded 3 days ago). Has anyone else had this problem?

    First - I love this mod. I've been using NECB for a long time, but am tired of the bloat. I loved stunwatch, but the lack of consistant updates and the repeated bugginess I always had killed it for me.

    I have no problems w/ the mod at all - just some suggestions - and these are all based on the way it looks - not the functions. I make the suggestions because I'm one of those compulsive UI devs that likes to have it look as professional as possible as well as adding functionality - so take that for what it's worth - lol!

    1 - Allow for bar spacing so that the bars can be separated a bit
    2 - Width changes (see this in your "to do") apart from the scaling
    3 - Allow the main bar color to be set by the user via the color picker instead of via the list of colors you provide (same as how you allow for the bar background and text colors would be great)

    That's it for now! Again - really love the mod. Keep up the good work!
