Bingo. Things work fine for french users, but I had to directly code french names inside the core.lua file

We should be able to set variables like SPELL_NAME and TALENT_name and localize them in dedicated files.

I am at your disposal ;)

K, I changed the spell from Scorch to Fireball just to see whether it was an issue with special characters, and it is. I have ti figure out how to test the correct spellName, and then we'll see.

Edit : Hmmm the special french character used cannot be rendered here. I'll try using the alt+ instead in the lua file

I replaced Scorched with 'Br?lure' (French equivalent), but nothing happens. Combat logs show
"Br?lure de Pukk touche Basilic tremp?caille pour 1432 points de d?gats (feu). (Critique)"

I activated all debug traces, but nothing happens. I also added a dummy frFR localization file that is referenced in the scorchio.toc file.

Is line #2 in your code extract the only statement that needs to be altered ? Maybe the event tracking is also localized ?

    Hello,

I am trying to get this addon to work for French versions of wow.

the localisation file seem to only concern tooltips and options, so I skipped it for the time being. I tried to replace references to talents in the core.lua file.

could anyone give me more guidelines to make this localization proper ?

    Regards.
