That's not how it works. Loot and tracked events are completely separate until they are grouped by the output formatter, which can chose to group things however it wants, based on any of the data available.

Herein lies the problem hunter was talking about. Items are NOT grouped with the attendances they are part of. So for example: you are in an instance and do a start check every day, two days in a row, if trash mobs drop items both days (before any boss) then when you output the attendance from day 2, it includes trash drops from day 1 (because the attendance they were part of has the same name both days).

Personally its not an issue for me because I clear it daily, however I can see his point.

Ok, I can describe it although Im not sure exactly whats happening.
We were doing brutallus attempts, and I started clearing recount after every attempt. After the second attempt when it syncd I saw three people at double the damage of the top person. I cleared recount, after the third attempt those people were three times the top damage. --- It appears that when syncing its transferring the total damage from the night, instead of just the last attempt. Perhaps its a bug you have fixed already, but because they aren't running updated versions (I update every night) my client is seeing now incorrect data.
After the 3rd or 4th attempt I stopped clearing recount and the issue didn't come back - but then recount's memory usage kept climbing.

Just had this problem after joining a raid in mid-progress. Did a version check in recount and noone was listed as having "incompatible" versions.

Edit: to explain a little more.. I joined raid, entered the instance, ran up to meet the raid and then reset my meter. At the end of bloodboil I had accurate damage, and then it syncd and I got the damage of 2-3 people for the entire night so far, not just that fight.

thanks for you help keeping up this mod.
Is there a way to turn off the lazysync? It causes alot of issues when one person clears their meters and another person doesn't (possibly due to different versions, or whatever)

posted a message on New combat log/chat mod?
This is very much needed imo.

While the blizzard combat log is very good, and it appears you can change pretty much everything - their interface for changing it just plain sucks.

In addition to the above, it would be nice if you could change the colors. Its great that shadow is purple or whatever, but its not always readable as the purple color. Pally heals are holy, but the piss yellow color is awful.

What you can do with the blizzard one is great for those who know enough about LUA and the system to do it themselves, what about the rest of us shlubs? o)

Requesting an option to automatically acknowledge all popup boxes, effectively hiding them.

I'm surprised there isn't such an otpion already. When running passively NRT as a backup attendance taker (without announcements) it's pretty annyoing to click away all the dialogs on every boss kill.

Or is there a reason why a popup box is necessary? (Need the hardware event?)

You could just turn off the "On Boss Kill" otion, then you won't get asked for attendance. If you are backup there isn't any need for you to take attendance is there, since people aren't sending you tells anyway.

    posted a message on Threat-2.0 / Omen2 - request for PTR testers
For those who don't know how SVN works...

    go here: http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads

    Install that application..

    Find your WoWTest/Interface/Addons directory..
    create an Omen folder
Right click the folder and goto "TortoiseSVN" and choose "Export..." For URL use "" target="" data-ensure-absolute>http://svn.wowace.com/wowace/branches/Omen/2.4/"

    DONE!

edit: I posted this because I'm a noob and had never used SVN myself so I had to figure it out.

edit2: hrm.. it loades properly for me, I can change the options, but I never see threat bars :/
edit3: Oh nevermind, it was because I was by myself with no pet out

I'm looking for more feedback on the PTR branch. I also put the latest version on curse again (PTR-2.4-0.7). Any testing and feedback is very much wanted!

Also if you raid and sync please make sure that everybody does have the newest PTR version, because we did change to using spellIds instead of spell names which means a change in protocol. Older version won't properly sync and skew the data you see.

That link you posted is broken, also the download it tries to link to has no extension - ppl will have to save it and manually rename it to .rar to open it.

-- I think I fixed the link in the quote of this post - but still have to manually rename the file

It works exactly as expected on PTR, not at all.

Not entirely true.. Non-damaging abilities register threat.. warlock debuff curse/some warrior abilities. But anything that does threat based on damage does not work at all o)

found out where its at http://downloads.curse.com/details/10598/ for the ptr version

If you read that carefully, you'll see that you can't just hit download, you need to click on the PTR version - so don't be an idiot like me and just blindly click

A new PTR version is now in the branches. It contains some debug messages that I'd like to learn about if you see them (for certain events/situations).

Id be willing to test this on the PTR, how do I get this version? currently Im using the latest version on the PTR and besides an error about max combat log range nothing else happens at all wrt the addon.

Thanks for this amazing mod has made my raid tracking much easier.

One quick question though, don't know if this is possible, but we use an open bid style for bidding on items.

Is it possible to set the value that someone "paid" through NRT? Currently I have a notepad where I write down what everyone has spent and update the CTR tacking parse after the raid. It would be great if I could simply right click or something on the item and enter the amount of DKP that won for the user who picked it up. Don't know if CTR import strings even support that.

Thanks again for the great mod and all your feedback to the community.

There is already a way to do this.. Simply set the note for the item to be "XX DKP"

Note: If you set the note to be "20" CTRT importer will not pick it up.. it needs to be "20 DKP".
