Apr 25, 2008If I can get to the where the item price is stored in HeadCount through the lua I'll be adding a pull from ItemLevelDKP to my copy anyway, if you're interested in this as an option and want to add a GUI element to select it I'd be happy to send along my snippets. I'll give this a try this weekend to play with it.Posted in: Raid AddOns

If I'm reading this thread right, Slouken is saying that the PLAYER_DEAD event is currently firing, I tried adding a handler for it to Recount (just copied the one for "UNIT_DIED" basically) but I after never seeing anything in the Death list after many noble suicides by an auction alt I'm guessing this event isn't triggering either? While there is always the option that I screwed up the handler, I think either Slouken is mistaken or I misunderstood what he's saying.
Anyone able to confirm whether this event IS or ISN'T working in 2.4?
Aug 6, 2007Dude, your questions have nothing to do with Violation and everything to do with Threat-1.0Posted in: General AddOns
No Threat-1.0 can not track different mobs with the same name.
Yes, KTM throws both global and target threat into the same lump and displays it all together. So indeed, I worded that wrong. I should have said KTM tracks all threat as if it were global threat. Obviously this is one of the major strengths Threat-1.0 has over KTM.

So, the warrior, rogue, and other hunter in the group were causing threat without hitting a specific target?
And why am I the only one on the TT meter?
I know the others have KTM. Am I stuck unless I get them to switch over as well?
It's just odd. They show their normal expected Threat, I just don't show up.
KTM does not track target threat only global threat. If there are 3 mobs in the room and you've done nothing but damage dealing abilities to 1 of them you have no global threat. Global threat does NOT mean the sum or average of threat across the 3. It means any threat which applies to ALL mobs in the room but not exclusively to anyone mob. (Healing, buffing, etc). It sounds like you are unclear on what global threat is.
In summary, the others showing up in global is incorrect and due to the way KTM manages threat.

I have a problem with Violation, it is not showing anyone else except my character on target threat and global threat meters. All other meters work as they are supposed to, but aggro meters show only my own character.
Do the other people run a mod with Threat-1.0 libs installed or KTM?

Regarding the disappearing mage:
I noticed last night that, as players left the raid group, they kept disappearing from the Recount list too. Only after changing the settings to 'show' ungrouped players did I get their Recount data back into the window. Looks like a minor bug?
It's not a bug, they aren't grouped with you anymore.
Jun 22, 2007Good points.Posted in: Addon Ideas
Combat log range extension works most of the time, but there are a few encounters that are beyond the max range I believe.
Another library to fill this function perhaps? I know Violation has tools to receive SW and DM data so perhaps a library that does this that Assessment and Recount and others could use to handle synching?
Jun 22, 2007This was a thought I had last night and it sounded smart then so please help me punch holes in it for those that are more awake.Posted in: Addon Ideas
I've been using Threat for testing for some time and in the meantime I've been playing with other dmg meter type addons as well (Violation, Recount, Assessment, etc).
A common problem with Damage meters is combat log range and the desire to extend that range by receiving messages from other people. I was thinking about how Threat-1.0 handles the sending of messages and leaves the addons that make use of it to display/store the messages and got to wondering if this type of capability would work for something like Parser so that each dmg meter doesn't have to have a proprietary sync with itself function. For example, Violation, recount and assessment users could all 'sync' with each other for combat log range purposes and would only need their own sync if they were storing data for a consistent raid wide dmg meter (like sw and dm does but violation does not). This way you still have a choice about how to display and store the data but you are sure you are at least seeing all the messages available.

I know Omen can read KTM data, but are there any plans for it to expose threat #'s back to KTM? I've tried getting my guild converted over to Omen, but they have refused. Currently, I'm stuck with KTM because I'm a tank and they want to see my #'s as well... help, please, KTM is a hog and I really really don't want to run it anymore.
Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, I've searched and couldn't find an answer.
