@feliae: Do you have it set to not fade out, but hide immediately? I have only heard of there being that issue for inanimate objects in the 3-d world (signs, etc)

My bad. Should have read the tooltips :-/
I was somehow focused on "unit frames" however "world units" is what I was actually looking for :-/

As for changing the text.. I have to investigate that. But from what I've seen there is no "is in my group color" in the dogtag wiki's Color Tags listing. However I believe I can live without "is in my group colouring". I like having bold text though ;) Is that possible?

I am having issues with CowTip not immediately hiding (player - maybe more) tooltips.

And maybe you can make the "target: YOU" feature way more eye-catching. I'm kind of addicted to TipBuddy because of that. Even at the quickst glimpse you can see, hovering a bunch of people, who is targeting you.. without much "reading". If someone is targeting you, it says "YOU" in capital letters and colored white.

posted a message on UI Screenshots - Show us what you use!

No screenshots yet... at least not for now.
I need some piece of advice.

I'm attempting to design myself a shiny new interface. The main drawback of my current interface is the amount of visible buttons.
My mage character has 4*12 horizontal action buttons + 16 vertically aligned at the very right side of the screen.
Two of these bars contain consumables, portals and all that kind of stuff which could be handled by autobar. Oh by the way.. I am using bartender3 as my favourite action bar addon.

Now.. my primary objective is to create an interface with only very few buttons on the screen or even none at all.
For example I could think of a solution using Spellbinder (bind actions to key bindings without a button) and Cooling (if I ever happen to understand how it works) or Hourglass for tracking cooldowns. Has anyone any experiences with such a layout? Can anyone recommend any addons suitable for my purposes? Without action buttons for example I will not be able to see whether I am silenced (for a certain school of magic) or not.

I... I turned off Health Text for my target frame. Don't ask me why I did that. Probably simply because I had the opportunity to do so. Anyway.. I want it back but "Health" disappeared from the Texts menu for my target frame. How do I get it back :?

In the demonstration video it says "memory increase <1 kbit/s" (or similar).
I guess it's supposed to be good. Isn't it possible to create mods that have absolutely no increase in memory usage over time? Or why the increase? I mean.. is there always a steady increase among the typical usage patterns (allocate & free)?

the problem with debuff icons I described previously can be seen in a small (3,5MB) video over here:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/66102654/pitbull_debuff.wmv.html

This bug (it's not a feature is it) only appears if Buffs are disabled within Alt-Aura.
If you have both Debuffs and Buffs enabled you are just fine.

    two issues...

first of all.. sometimes the whole frame uses a buff (or debuff?) icon as background. I was able to reproduce this beaviour by casting "Beast Lore" on any valid target. The target frame then takes the "Beast Lore" icon as background... which makes reading the unitframe really impossible.

the second bug I encountered concerns the alpha value of the Player's Pet Frame. I toggled the Combat Fader off. Out of combat the pet frame shows just fine. However as soon as I enter combat.. it's losing opacity. Actually I think it might be related to the aggro gain issue posted here earlier.. is this subject to a fix?

I'm really sorry about that.. I didn't pay enough attention I guess. The opacity issue (#2) is *not* caused by the aggro module but by range checking.. it seems like my pet was always out of range when it entered combat.. fading on "out of range" is okay.. I'm really sorry I got that mixed up ):

the first bug I described persists though. I can't rule it out for buffs.. but it certainly has that behaviour with debuffs. No matter which debuff I cast on the target (hunter's mark, beast lore, * Sting) it sometimes uses the debuff's icon as background to the whole target frame. Sometimes it's just the health bar background.. but usually it's the whole frame. I will try to provide some screenshots later that day.. unless this error is well known and you already know what I am talking about (:

This error has already been reported earlier. But as there was no answer and the problem persists I dared posting it again.
I do encounter that error upon login with my tiny little priest. With my mage character I do *not* encounter that error. This is weird because they practically run the same addons.

posted a message on Wardrobe2 no longer able to update / delete outfits
Updating works for me. Deleting doesn't.
It's a pity wardrobe doesn't get too much love lately. I prefer wardrobe because of the update feature. For example using closetgnome you have to delete a set and afterwards create a new one.. although there's only one item you might have changed.

posted a message on Prat 2.0 Chat Mod Framework (Official Thread)
concerning the breaking for prat after switching characters...

I figured out what's causing the problem.. however I don't understand it :-)
It turns out I have a "Lib: Ace2" addon.. which is strange in the first place because usually I install addons with external libraries.
Anyway.. one character (a) had lib: ace2 turned off. Remember.. prat works perfectly fine there.
Character b on the other hand had lib: ace2 turned on. Prat working there too. Now switching back to character a without lib: ace2 loaded breaks prat. It's not loaded anymore. I cannot do /print Prat.author. In fact it doesn't even let me send/submit that line via the [enter] button. So I tried turning lib: ace2 on for character a too.. and surprise surprise.. it's working again.

I still have no clue what the actual problem behind this might be. But I have to figure out where that lib: ace2 libraries come from. Wowaceupdater must have included them for some addon which doesn't offer externals or something..

none at all. It seems like prat isn't even loaded. At least the fubar symbol is not there.. and the chat is back to original style..
