    a plugin for FuBar (no slashies) for controlling chat aspects...

    * enables mousewheel support on all ChatFrames
    * timestamps messages in the DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME
    * makes chat channels 'sticky' or 'unsticky'
    * move ChatFrameEditBox to top of ChatFrame
    * hide the ChatFrame buttons (show 'to bottom' when scrolling up)
    * rename built-in channel names ([Group] -> [G])
    * rename numbered channels ([2. Trade] -> [2.TR])

    not all of the features are changeable right now, but it does seem to do what i want it to do =).

    Titan Panel does actually have a "Disable Screen Adjust" option. I tried disabling it but still got the same problem.

    Ah you're right, didn't know that's what it was for. Yep, just disabled it and still the same issue.

    seems like TitanPanel is the culprit then, does the problem happen with only SMM and Titan running? i'll install it and see if i can work around.

    **edit**
    looking through the code i do find this...
    		if (not CleanMinimap) then
    		frameTop = TitanMovableFrame_GetOffset(MinimapCluster, "TOP");
    		top = 0 + panelYOffset;
    		TitanMovableFrame_CheckTopFrame(frameTop, top, MinimapCluster:GetName())
    		end

    ...which seems to mean to me that the only way to stop Titan from moving the minimap is to install CleanMinimap or enable lockdown. i'm still looking for a reference on the config setting for 'do not move blizz frames', not sure where that comes into play.

    Hi,
    I am the author or DMBS. I have looked into the LockDown func. Not sure what I can do, one option is to hook this function, look for buttons, and return without moving them. I hesitate to do this, since this (as cleary stated :)) is an internal function. I know of no other way though to prevent the movement of the buttons (and reattachment to the minimap frame). Also, it seems to me that this is working as intended, putting SMM into lock down locks it down :) Any ideas would be appreciated!

    hey, i sent you a PM on worldofwar.net yesterday. hopefully this helps, if not contact me. should be a fairly minor change to DMB.

    Yep, I'm having the same issues as koalachan. I use DetachedMiniButtons as well, so to get SMM to play nice with it and let me move the Blizz UI buttons (mail, BG queue, tracking, etc.) I have to turn off the lockdown feature. However, doing so causes the minimap to jump back to the top center of the screen after every login. Using the lock/unlock feature will snap it back to where I want it, but I have to do it every time.

    well...to be honest the lockdown feature is a hack. in previous versions of SMM the lockdown procedures were followed all the time, but that always bothered me doing it that way because it locked out other mods from adjusting things SMM touched. the whole reason i implemented it in the first place was for mods like TitanPanel and FuBar that move the minimap to allow for their info bar. with FuBar there's an option to turn off this function (the 'adjust Blizz frames' option). i'm not sure how TitanPanel works anymore, i haven't used it in awhile.

    in a correct setup you shouldn't need to use lockdown at all, but alot of people were having problems with other mods playing with the minimap, so i used it.

    i don't use lockdown and i have like 30 some-odd mods running.

    anyways, if you're using FuBar or Titan see if turning off the options to move frames or the minimap fixes the problem.

    otherwise, i need to know what mod the conflict is happening with so i can re-create it hear and adjust for it.

    as to DetechedMinimapButtons, the author probably hasn't updated his mod to account for changes in SMM when SMM is in lockdown.

    I'm encountering a problem with SMM 25104 and Detached Minimap Buttons 0.9.31. The default Blizzard minimap buttons such as mail indicator and mining/herb tracker will reset back to the their default positions on the minimap instead of staying detached everytime I log in, change location (example zep from org to UC) or bring up SMM's GUI.

    Both addons are locked, including lockdown on SMM. This problem does not occur with SMM 22390. Any help would be appreciated.

    lockdown locks the methods SMM uses for placing things, including the minimap buttons. if you want other mods to use these methods try turning lockdown off...

    The minimap is always loaded bottom left now and it annoys the living daylights out of me to have to change it every time I relog/reload. I can't find a way to make it stay in its (blizzard) default position so I m asuming I must be overlooking something. This problem is fairly recent but very persistent :(.

    /smm reset

    Yeah I tried that before posting. It doesn't persist neither. Additionally, when it does reset like this it ignores the setting to compensate for Fubar being present on top. Regardless, it shouldn't have to be something I have to type every time I logged in right (even if it would work). Right now if I just rightclick the map and select the lock each time it does return to its proper place but it's bothersome to have to do it after each login/reload.

    how about enabling lockdown? or turning off the feature in FB that moves the minimap?

    say you're in a group. trying to get a run through Mara organized. you're bored because the new LFG sucks balls and takes forever. you join a quick game of WSG. the WSG raid frames load fine.

    the game is over quick (stupid paladins) and you leave the BG. unfortunately, the BG raid frames do not go away. reloading the UI does not clear the raid frames. No way to see who's in my party.

    had to relog to get the raid frames to go and the party frame to show.

    Somehow just after the 2.0.3 patch, my 'Find Minerals' icon is always near the center of the minimap. I can temporarily fix it by enabling the Movers and dragging it in place. However, after some time the icon snaps back to the center. The icon is also always at the wrong position every time I log off and on.

    Anyone know a fix for this?

    Thanks!

    haven't seen that one before. maybe using/used something like Visor to move your tracking button?

    got-r-done

    side note ::
    trying to figure out a way to resize the minimap buttons, but it's not easily done. rescaling them works, but greatly changes the math used to place the buttons. gonna have to figure that one out.

    it just moved, probably to the lower left corner, because of a change in the way the map position was saved. /smm reset should fix it.

    the best unit frames i've played with yet, bar none. thank you.

    i've read that features are on hold while bugs are being worked out, but i figured i would post anyways =).

    i would really like a way to put the whole raid into one 'group' and maintain the group numbers ala PerfectRaid. i hate trying to line things up properly and i'm a but too anal rententive in making sure all the frames are lined up (that and the fact that they change a bit depending on mana/pets/energy/rage/etc).

    anyways, just couldn't bite my tongue on that one, i think it would make the raid frames alot more usable and easier to manage. thanks for the grat mod.
