It looks like WoWinterface updating is broken. I get the following message in the log for all WoWI addons:

2008-10-16 19:12:09: (WARN) Could not find Align update date on page - is site ID correct?

It wont kill your computer :P But if you are worried just backup your interface and wtf folders.

Yeah, I know that. It was a feeble attempt at humour. :P

Although I'm still going to hold off for a while since it seems the WowAce releases aren't quite synched up with Curse.com yet so the client will be downloading old versions from Curse.

To be quite honest, from reading all the complaints here about the Curse Client, I'm scared shitless of trying it out. I'll just go hide in my basement. Somebody call me when it's safe. :P

I'd like to second IceShadow's request. I often quest with my partner and those quests which require collecting items that only one person in the party can loot at a time means that when I finish collecting first, the tracker collapse the quest line so I can't see the other person's progress. If it could only collapse down when all party members have completed the quest, that would be great.

    Heya Zeksie,

I'm still having trouble with the latest ZOMGBuffs in WoW Live where weapon buffs like rogue poisons or shaman weapon imbues are not detected properly.

To get it into a funny state, manually cast windfury weapon on your weapon. At this point, ZOMGBuffs should still say that you need to cast it. Click the ZOMGBuffs icon to recast it and the notification goes away. Right-click the buff icon to remove it and ZOMGBuffs doesn't notice. Mount up and briefly ZOMGBuffs will show the notification for Windfury but it will disappear due to no buffing while mounted. Dismount and ZOMGBuffs will still not notice that you need Windfury weapon.

Similar things happen with Rogue poisons.

If I recall correctly you need admin rights if people install in program files ya?

But that's just the installer and that's expected. However, once the program is installed, it shouldn't require admin rights to run. And that's what it currently requires as I understand people's reports.

I think the registry settings altercation came about because somebody asked why the CC needed admin rights to run. A normal user application such as CC should not require admin rights. I find it hard to believe that standard registry settings storage requires admin rights. There must be something else. Possibly the service configuration?

I find that it doesn't work until I hover over said nameplates upon which they promptly disappear.

I believe that is because until you mouseover the nameplates, Aloft doesn't know anything about that unit except its name. It doesn't know that it's a critter because it needs a unitid to get the creature type.

It could remember based on the name, but then I think you run into the problem of players, pets or non-critter NPCs named the same as a critter.

Bongos3 will support ButtonFacade if you install Bongos3_ButtonFacade.

I've been using Dominos which natively supports ButtonFacade and I haven't had any issues with it yet.

I noticed something, everytime I update the addons, the same changelog was being displayed. I reopened WUU several times and ran the update again, and the same thing happened. I noticed then the same addons were being downloaded everytime, so I guess WUU isn't saving the modifications for some reason. It's not even displaying the popup window asking to save changes when I try to close WUU.

I've been noticing the same behaviour. It seems to occur when the updates didn't have any new changelog entries. For instance, wowace addons for which only libraries were updated.

Does it have the ability to color buttons that you don't have mana/rage/energy to use, or does redrange do that too?

RedRange uses blue to indicate buttons for which you do not have enough power to use.
