It matters because there's no way to choose between text warnings and timer bars for a given ability, so if the Spell Shield warning was changed from a message to a timer bar, my only choices would be to disable Spell Shield warnings altogether or look at a big bar that's irrelevant 99% of the time for me and anyone else who doesn't have cripplingly high latency.

I can see I am not going to make any headway with my plight. Regardless, this is a, "Bossmod" and it's got a meter for just about everything under the sun. I personally feel it's a bit odd this one was left out. Not to mention I've done Maulgar a jillion times *with* the bar and it never got in my way or made me think once, "Dead lord!!! What's with this extra bar???". I mean, isn't that the point of BigWigs' existence anyway? The way it is now there might as well be no warning because I can just as easily see his shield come up versus an instant raid warning.

    posted a message on Recount
Hi. I am brand new to Recount and our guild just switched to it en masse. My question is, how do we reset/resync the meters for everyone? With SW Stats if someone reset it, it would reset it for everyone who was synced to it by a voting system. We like to reset meters before every boss attempt. Would I just type "/recount reset" or is there another way to do it. Thanks!

I would think it would be less distracting to simply see a single message when you should Spellsteal, rather than having to watch a timer bar. Especially since there's no point in spamming Spellsteal before he has Spell Shield anyway...

I see your point, but I personally disagree because, first off, with BiGWigs, you'd be able to turn that feature off if you didn't want it. Secondly, if you are playing with a high latency, getting an instant spellsteal message instead of being able to prepare for it can sometimes mean a wipe. I play with high latency and that meter DBM had was a godsend for people like me. With BW I am like, "Oh shit!" when it pops up, praying that my reaction-time/latency will allow me to steal it before I get hit with two fireballs.

I mean, what does it matter anyway if they put it in? Like I said, if it annoyed you, you can just disable it. I really miss it, but there are too many others things BW does better then DBM to switch back.

Hey! Great mod. I recently switched from using Deadly Boss Mods for a long time. Anyway, I would like to request one bar that DBM had that BW doesn't. It's a countdown bar for the SpellSteal on Maulgar. It really helps to be able to time the SpellSteal rather then just a warning out of nowhere saying, "Spellshield on Maulgar!". That way the Mage can focus more on holding aggro and only spam SpellSteal when he sees the meter getting close to the end. Thanks!

On a side note, how can Scorchio see if others have 3/3 imp scorch or not and auto-blacklist them? Is there a way you can see someone's spec in-game?

No, I don't believe there is a way of querying another player's talent information without having something installed on their client to respond. Like a number of the newer features coming shortly in Scorchio!, only works with other mages running the add-on - it sends a query requesting talent information and Scorchio! on the other player responds. Mages who don't have the addon will be added to the Blacklist when you party with them, and (in the upcoming version) be automatically unchecked to allow data to be received from them. You will need to manually check players who don't have Imp Scorch 3/3 if they are not running Scorchio!

So while Scorchio! works solidly as a Fire Vulnerability meter on a single user basis, so long as you remain in event reception range of other party mages, to really make the most of it, all mages in a party should have it installed.

The next commit (which needs some testing before release) tightens up some of the timing code to try and alleviate some vagaries people have reported in that area, and also includes some interesting developments in the field of icons and casting notification... I hope to have it out by the weekend.

Gotcha. BTW, the rescorch warning went off without a hitch every time tonight in Gruuls Lair. Must be some weirdness with the solo play and Dr. Boom that throws it for a loop.

Just got this mod last night. So far so good. However, it still blacklisted me by default. Also, it seems like the, "Rescorch..." timer is really flaky. It was very inconsistent and not much rhyme or reason as to when it would decide to actually warn me.

The Blacklist is being tidied up for the next commit. It is actually now a blacklist, not a whitelist pretending to be a blacklist. And by-default blacklisting of new installations shouldn't happen either. I'm working on another couple of things before I commit though, so don't expect this version before tomorrow.

In terms of "inconsistent" and "not much rhyme or reason" - could you help me out a little by explaining exactly what you mean. By default, Scorchio! will warn you 6 seconds before it believes the Fire Vulnerability debuff will fade on a particular mob. Did you find that: a) this 6 seconds was variable and inconsistent, or b) that the addon was wrong about when the debuff would fade?

Can you also let me know if you were the only mage, either at all, or running the addon?

More information with bug reports is always better than less...

Sure. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I had the output set to Raid Warning (I was also solo and not in a group. I only joined a group real quick to un-blacklist myself). It seemed that no matter where I set the slider the warnings were very sporadic. Most of the time I didn't get one no matter where I set the timer-slider. But then out of nowhere sometimes, I would get the rescorch warning. I was testing on Dr. Boom. I tried dropping combat, relogging, reloadui, etc. and it never seemed to have an effect on the rescorch warning. Again, maybe my Output choice was the issue. I only tried using Raid Warning.

On a side note, how can Scorchio see if others have 3/3 imp scorch or not and auto-blacklist them? Is there a way you can see someone's spec in-game?

Great mod! But can you help me figure out what the, "DPS" row is trying to tell me? For instance, if I equip Trinket A I see: 803.2+75 (Shiffar's Nexus Horn). If I equip Trinket B I see: 810.5+79.5 (Scryer's Bloodgem). What do those, "+"'s mean? I also see, "/"'s sometimes, too. Thanks again!

P.S. The other trinket-slot was always The Lightning Capacitor.

posted a message on Can Grid Cure, too?
I've been using AGUF for unit frames and Smart Debuff for curing (http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/5466/) for ages. I like both mods but have always wanted them integrated. If Grid can right or left click cure like Smart Debuff then I am in heaven. Can it do this?

posted a message on Pitbull's casting bar animation isn't smooth...
    Quote from nexus6 »

A while back, casting bars like CBripoff used to... I don't know, stutter a bit I guess. The animation was a bit jerky. There was a patch where they all seemed to figure out the issue and now the animation is smooth. Pitbull's casting bar however suffers from the same slight stutter that the old CBripoff used to have.

I have this issue in AG and Pitbull, too. I'm interested to see if there's a fix for it.

Is there a mod for AGUF that will allow me to filter out the debuffs I see on a target? For instance, if I just want to see Sunders, CoE, scorch, etc, is there something that will let me pick? Thanks in advance.

posted a message on CT Map Mod "Residue"
I just switched to Cartographer (CRT) from CT Map Mod (CMM) and love it. Anyway, there are a few aspects of CMM that are still integrated into my map and are screwing with CRT. Things like dropdowns, text-instructions, and other bits of mod residue. I've even deleted the CMM .lua from SavedVariables and the map still seems to be permanently altered. Does anyone know how I can get my map back to its original state so I can start enjoying CRT to the fullest?

    Thanks!

posted a message on Omen - Bug Reports and Suggestions
Our guild is an all-Omen guild currently. Usually it works great but last night we were having several quirks in Karazhan. First off, some of us were getting nasty lua-errors from Threat 1.0. Switching to an older version of Omen fixed it for now. I was having an issue where, if I pulled a bar out, it would stick to my cursor no matter where it went. I would actually have to type /logout to logout because I couldn't press any buttons. Once I re-logged back-in it was fine, though. And on Nightbane, our druid pulled aggro off of the tank and he was well below our MT in threat (This was before he Nightbane took-off, too. It was in the early stages). Everyone was very confused because we had not seen this happen before. It could've been a game glitch, though.

    Thanks!

I am wanting to really streamline my mods. Does anyone know what modules I can disable for ORA? I just need the frames that show MT frames and all that. Thanks!

*Edit* the modules are Leader, Optional, and Participant.
