Absolutely gorgeous HUD, bravo. However, from a usability standpoint, it is lacking in comparison to other HUD solutions out there.

Really, for this addon to truly shine, considering adding the following under a Load on Demand options setting:

Scaling for text and bars alike
Offsets for text and bars alike
Alpha states depending on Combat, Out of Combat, Target, Regen
Toggles to remove Blizzard character and target frames
Right-click functionality (targeting self and rightclicking name should bring up the standard party menu)

Also please allow an option that puts your HP *and* Mana bar on one side, and target HP *and* mana/rage/energy bar on the other side.

Also agree. Scaling is a must. My eyes aren't the best and WH2's text size is absolutely, horribly small.

Since the tiny fontsize made the addon about as effective as not having the it at all, I just removed it, which I am sad to admit.

What's wrong with SimpleCombatLog? I use it and find it to be wonderful.

Hopefully some Ace guru comes up with a sleek and sexy buffbar solution. In the meantime, I want to thank you for that link. Those buffbars are beautiful! Now if I knew how he squared out his minimap, because the buffbars alongside that vertical edge is perfection.

I've tried QuickAssist, unfortunately, its not the same as Multi-Assist. Please check out MultiAssist to understand; its simply astounding.

In my opinion, the absolute best assist-helper addon is Multi-Assist. http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=1057

Unfortunately, this addon has a few problems:
Takes up a lot of memory.
It is abandoned by its original author.[/list:u]

Ace users have been clamoring for an assisting addon thats as useful as Multi-Assist. Please, one of you efficient codemasters, consider creating an addon similar to Multi-Assist, or Ace'ing Multi-Assist outright!

Does WatchDog 2.0 have plans to include a toggle to have the WatchDog statusbars appear only when a player is in combat, and hide otherwise? If not, please consider this. I value my clean interface and really wish there was an alternative out there to the abandoned StatusBars addon. WatchDog seems like it could be that, if this feature was implemented.

Looks incredibly neat (see screenshot in the 3rd post down or so).

Wondering if any of you addon gurus out there care to work with it and make up a spiffy default unitframe replacement addon? :)

I would love to use Visor but the learning curve seems very steep for me. I was an avid user of Flexbar and really never learned much beyond basic stuff, I don't know if I want to put in the time to learn something new. At this point I just use something "user friendly," Discord Action Bars.

posted a message on Please help me fix this error with 1.8
Been getting this error in 1.8

Please note I do not have ANY FrameXML folders. I've been a strict No-FrameXML Addon policy holder forever, and yet when I try to open my default First Aid or Alchemy pane, I get these FrameXML errors coming up (the pane's contents are visible however). I have no addons that have anything to do with altering tradeskills.

The error:

Interface\FrameXML\UIPanelTemplates.lua:7:attempt to index local 'frame' (a nil value)

How do I fix/troubleshoot this? Please help.

With patch 1.8, AHWipe still works but when I close the AH window...my AHWIpe reset button remains on the screen.

Confirmed, as it happens on my client too. Was annoying so I had to remove this wonderful addon :/

Also in 1.8 the Reset button does not position properly. If you put it somewhere, itll be pushed down for some reason about 3 inches! Im not sure whats causing this. I know with CleanMiniMap, TitanPanel caused a similar issue. I no longer use CMM though (I use MapScroll now).

posted a message on Request for an update to Statusbars
The addon I refer to can be found here: http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=388

Put simply, this is one of the greatest "minimalist" unit-frame replacement addons out there. The problem, sadly, is that it has not been updated since 5/17/05 and its creator (Daniel Wesslan) has abandoned it. His final post on the addon's page states:

Just a little note to let you know that I am no longer updating StatusBars. I have essentially stopped playing WoW.

If anybody wants to pick up where I left and make their own version, drop me a mail and I will send you the php file used to generate StatusBars.xml (much easier to work with).

I registered to the WoWAce forums to make an appeal for one of you excellent developers to take up the reigns on this wonderful addon. It needs a few tweaks to bring it up to speed with the new features in the game and some general fleshing out.

A list of a few modifications that would boost the already incredible value of this addon:
Show up to 16 debuffs (1.7 feature).

Show the debuff-stacking number that was implemented in 1.7 (for example: showing you how many times Sunder Armor has been applied to the foe).

An option to show a resting state or PvP flag indicator on the player and target statusbar.

Possibility of target's class identification via a class icon or similar. (i.e. if I am targeting a Night Elf Rogue in the distance, perhaps the target statusbar could identify him as such so I can be aware of his class). Currently require a seperate addon to do this, such as ClassViewer.

Built in option to disable Blizzard's default unit frames (playerframe, mainbarframe, partyframe, targetframe), currently Statusbars users require a seperate addon to do this.

Additional statusbars system to replace the party frame. Statusbars does not provide bars to replace the default ones, leaving users to make do with the default or seek an alternative.

General maintenance of the code, etc.
[/list:u]

Please note that there are also many good suggestions in the thread devoted to this addon at the URL above.

I very much respect the coders on these forums and am a happy user of many Ace-related products. I am sincerely hoping one of you might take on the task of updating this addon.

Thank you for reading.
