I got a clam today, too and Crowbar didn't pop up. I tried updating and still no change. Is there a replacement for this mod that works for LK or a working version I don't know about?
Coming back to WoW for LK and I wanted to thank you for putting the custom conditionals in for visibility. Now I can keep my UI clear of action buttons until I mouseover them or I am in combat. Well done! :)
Graphpaper and Align accomplish the same thing as far as actually locating the 3 Button Bins. The problem is when you put an addon in the center bar that isn't a fixed length -- think ExperienceFu, GrindStatus, LocationFu, etc. Fubar has a center option that will keep the centered addons in the actual center regardless of their length at any time. Button Bin can't emulate this as you have to left or right align the center bar. If you align it properly for the shortest possiblity it's no longer centered when it's longer and vice versa.
This is what's keeping me on Fubar. I've tried Button Bin a couple of times. As long as you only use left and right and not center or only put fixed length addons in the center Button Bin you can make things look correct. If not then you end up with uncentered addons all the time.
This is exactly my problem, well said. I use GrindStatus and LocationFu in the center (top/bottom) and because these are not fixed-width plugins, proper center-alignment with ButtonBin is impossible.
As for the center-justification: You're exactly right. As a workaround, though, I use Align to center it.
You can turn the labels off by going to the datablock section of the config, selecting the plugin in question, then checking the "Override Bin Defaults" box.
Thanks for that. I couldn't quite figure out the labels bit so I thought it wasn't a per-plugin option. As for Align, I do use it, but I couldn't make the alignment between the 3 bins (left/center/right) exactly like I wanted it. Perhaps I just need more medication (or less :p ). For now, I guess I'll keep using Fubar 3.5, B2F, and hope for the best.
I've been struggling with both Button Bin and Fortress to try to replicate my Fubar settings. Button Bin looked promising but lacks center justification and the ability to turn labels off individual icons rather than bins. I did try the instructions Torhal posted to mimic my Fubar display with left/center/right icons but it wasn't the same. Without a center justification, one side or the other will always be a bit off.
Fortress is just a dog to set up properly and can't really match Fubar's expandability/spacing options when it comes to placing/adding icons.
Is there any way to create "empty" blocks (to bind together blocks and get space between then but still have them react to eachother when other blocks changes size)
I'd love this option, too. (Searched through the thread and didn't find an answer to this.)
I'm trying to move away from Fubar and while Fortress seems like it might work for me (with a whole lot of configuration to mimic Fubar), it's still not quite what I'm looking for. I've also tried Button Bin but that addOn lacks a Center justification. My old Fubar setup had bars across the top and bottom buttons on the left, center and right, all justified and spaced accordingly. I'm trying to adapt. I actually like messing my interface :)
Was the justification ability of the combat log ever re-implemented, as I don't seem to have this functionality still.
I'm interested in this, too, as I keep my combat log on the right and would like to have it right-aligned. Appreciate all the work on the new version! Love Prat. :)

I have to agree.
