Quote from LaoTseuWhoHas works for me still but I don't remember if I hacked it locally or if I got an update version from somewhere. I'm using it with Possession.
What's your problem with it?
A recent version of Armory broke compatibility with WhoHas, causing WhoHas to spit guild bank / Armory related errors.
Quote from ZidomoI've long used both BankItems & Possessions. Used to use WhoHas with Possessions, but switched to BankItems' own built-in "which alt has this" tooltip info once it started working properly long ago. Its tooltip display is pretty much identical to WhoHas's (AFAIK) and can be turned on or off.
BankItems is kept up to date by Xinhuan; it may not (or may ;)) conflict with Armory. That is if you want to add another item tracker if you aren't currently using BankItems.
I tried to ditch Amory and go back to Possessions but found I was dependent on Armory's feature that warns you when alts have mail that is about to expire (anyone know of any other addons that do this?). The author also turned off tracking of buffs while in combat which was my main complaint with Armory.
Currently I have WhoHas disabled and am using Armory's built in ability to show item counts on tooltips, but it's neither as extensive nor as configurable as WhoHas.
Quote from ElsiaI wish there was some kind of standard about the data format so that one could more freely pick and choose interfaces without duplicating the storage multiple times, but overall I'm fairly happy with the setup.
YES PLEASE. Some kind of library for tracking and querying item info across alts would be revolutionary if enough authors were to integrate support for it. So many addons out there reinvent the wheel and individually track that stuff, which wastes tons of addon memory.
Really full alt support via addons is quite a huge endeavour because Blizz literally offers nothing and there is a lot of things that one might want to keep track off. For example the mail expiration warning of altoholic is pretty essential for me now.
Hmm maybe I could use Altoholic instead of Armory for mail expiration warning, since that's what is keeping me attached to Armory atm.
