Using r2536 on enUS 3.2.2a. When I log in, I get the following error:
    [2009/09/29 18:04:01-6452-x1]: AckisRecipeList-1.0 2536\AckisRecipeList.lua:868: '<name>' expected near '='

    Locals:

      ---

It appears to be due to an errant comma before the equals sign on line 868 of AckisRecipeList.lua:
    	local F_IBOE, F_IBOP, F_IBOA, F_RBOE, F_RBOP, F_RBOA, = 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42

Once I fixed that myself and reloaded my UI, I got a new error:
    [2009/09/29 17:52:37-6451-x1]: AckisRecipeList-1.0 2536\AckisRecipeList.lua:1215: function at line 957 has more than 60 upvalues

    Locals:

      ---

It seems that the CheckDisplayRecipe() method has is referencing too many (local?) variables that are defined outside of the function. I'm not sure how to fix that one.

    The Dry-Code Hero strikes again!

If you can think of a way to do this from the panel itself, without the need to write config code for one option...

Ah, yeah, I forgot that Volumizer is configless. I can't think of anything that isn't either cheesy:

    - create two plugins/feeds (one with mute/menu and the other with menu/mute) and tell the user to disable the one they don't want
    - create two plugins/feeds, one for muting and another for opening the menu
    - waste a couple of macro slots that call the mute and menu functions, hard-wire the plugin to invoke those macros, and swap their contents to reverse the mute/menu behavior

    ...or annoying:

    - add a checkbox to the menu that has to be checked every time you login or reloadui

I'll probably just hack my local copy or get used to the current scheme

posted a message on Dear addon authors...
The whole idea of different rules existing for commercial versus noncommercial use in the context of WoW addons is invalid since Blizzard's addon policy requires that all addons be offered for free. Unless you have specific permission from the individual authors, you really shouldn't be redistributing their addons at all (let alone distributing modified versions of them); it's impolite/inconsiderate at best.

As for redistributing lobotomized versions of other people's addons: It's not really a good idea because users are going to end up complaining both to you and to the individual addon authors about problems that may actually be a result of your changes rather than preexisting issues in the addons themselves. At the very least you should be very up-front about your changes, and you should discourage people from seeking support from the individual addon authors if there's any chance that reported issues could have resulted from your changes.

The numbers came back on their own at some point, not sure what was going on.

Might be nice to have an option to swap the left- and right-click behavior, since many people use the left mouse as their primary button and opening Volumizer as their desired primary action (as opposed to muting all sound).

I wonder if it would also be possible to be able to scroll the mouse wheel while the cursor is over the LDB plugin to change the master volume. From what I know of LDB(*) I'm guessing it can't be done unless a display implements catching scroll wheel events.

(*) - I had to implement a middle-click -> double-click wrapper in FuBar2Broker because I don't know of any LDB displays that catch OnDoubleClick events and pass them to plugins. NRT has a FuBar plugin that uses double clicks for taking raid attendance, which was easy to do in FuBar because it *does* do OnDoubleClick. Anyways, my point is that I doubt any displays would catch and pass scroll wheel events if they don't even do OnDoubleClick.

One suggestion for the click-to-toggle mode: It would be nice if clicking on the world frame would close YssDrop while it's open, a la Volumizer.

    posted a message on YssDrop
So I've found a weird issue: I'm using YssDrop in the auto-hide mode, and when I click DrDamage's plugin (via FuBar2Broker) and then select something off of its DewDrop menu, the DewDrop menu closes. I think this is because YssDrop closes when I move my mouse off of YssDrop and onto DewDrop, because if I put DrDamage on DockingStation and access it from there instead, the DewDrop menu doesn't disappear when I click something on it.

Edit: YssDrop is also hiding itself when I move my cursor off of it even if I put YssDrop on click mode instead of hover mode.

Edit 2: Now click toggling is working after I reloaded my UI.

Yes, right click on it and its interface options menu pops up with dropdown options to change the raid/party size and difficulty.

I thought you had to go to its options in the blizz options menu (Esc->Interface->Addons). I guess maybe Broker_Group gives 2 ways to do it.

I think Volumizer works sort of the way that Tekkub describes. I can see different users having different preferences for tooltip versus persistent/toggleable frame.

I'm already using Broker_Group (I think that's what it's called), which is similar to this addon except with a side emphasis on collecting /roll's instead of on raid marking.

Using r1076 on WoW 3.2.2 enUS, my action bar numbers are all showing zero for my Hunter in either MM or SV spec. Didn't have time to check on any other toons.

Also: armor penetration calculations have changed across the board in 3.2.2 (not sure what the new numbers are), and Hunters' Volley coefficient has been increased from 0.0586 to 0.0837.

AddonSpamFu is the opposite extreme, though, in which you see that a message has been intercepted but not what its contents are.

I think you'll be surprised when you see how much raid addon chatter there is >.>

Maybe it's not so bad these days though with most damage and threat meter addons not sharing data.

I think Prat has a module to do it, but I think it also captures everything.
