Thank ya much. I thought that was the mod I was looking for but after installing it and it wasn't working I ended up making my post. After reading your post and getting ready with a "yea tried that" reply, I took a hard look and realize I had SharedMediaLib instead of SharedMedia.

Oct 16, 2008Sorry if this is the wrong forum, couldn't find a place for it so I defaulted to gen..Posted in: General Chat
When WAU went down and I switched to Curse (UGH) I made the retarded mistake of blowing away all my Ace libraries as Curse client doesn't let me dl mods without externals. One of those libraries I blew away contained 20+ textures that I could use for ag_uf, spellreminder, some cooldown mod and a couple others. Now they're all defaulted to the boring standard texture, and my choices are down to 6 textures (none of which are the ones I used.)
I've tried downloading libraries that I've *guessed* would fix my issue, such as sharedmedialib, surfaces, surfacelib, cryaonlib, and so far I haven't found it (still limited to the default textures that come in the mods).
Any push in the right direction would be fantastic!
Oct 16, 2008Posted in: General AddOnsQuote from ArkiveThere were a lot of people that felt this way ages ago, If no one did so back then, it's highly unlikely they will now. That said, as new and fangled as it is, you could disable the class and extras bar, dump anything and everything you want into the basic bar and use that. that would essentially give you the old school Autobar.
This is what I just got done setting up, it's close to the old skool version, but mix and matching different items in one button is such a bloody pain! I miss the drag and drop grid. It's working tho, and that's the important part, even if I have half the stuff I used to have (eventually the frustrating of setting each button up made me go meh after I got the essentials in place).
I've heard great things about PT3 for those of us who can set up a LUA file, I'm definately going to give that a try if/when it ever gets a 3.0 compatible version up.
Edit: And now that I think about it, I think the main reason that nobody worked on the old version of Autobar (2.01.00.04 beta) is that it still worked until 3.0 hit.
Oct 16, 2008Posted in: General AddOnsQuote from whitesoundDelete the variable files associated with autobar, then get the 607 version and reconfigure it. I feel for ya :P
Good call, the 607 version works YAY! Too bad it's still this bloated new-fangled version.
In all seriousness, what is the possibility someone might pick up the old skool Autobar for those of use that liked the simple interface without all the bloat? The few mods I've done in my time are tiny lightweight things, something like autobar is over my head, or I'd do it myself, I dislike the 'new' Autobar that much.
Thanks for the tip about 607 tho, at least I have something now.
Oct 16, 2008The newest version of Autobar is completely and totally broken for me, doesn't work at all.Posted in: General AddOns
I was using an ancient version up until the 3.0 patch hit (as the old configuration was about a billion times better than the new version imo) but that's completely broken with the patch. So I went and grabbed the latest version (from wowace, not curse), deleted all the old Autobar saved variables and... well nothing. It loads, but nothing I click on does anything, no bars, no buttons, no nothing. Neat!
I'd really love if someone took the ancient version and update it, as I haven't been a fan of the newer version (and I'm not alone). Just getting ANY working version would be win right now tho.
