theres 6*4 buttons, holding shift ctrl and alt pop the others up.

    Edit:

    dd on 1-6
    heal on shift1-6
    cc on alt1-6
    misc on ctrl1-6

Its not enough for every posible spell but I dont use every possible spell

    How interesting.

You're using nearly the same layout as me for your bars, except I have 7 buttons and they don't page with ctrl (party assists on ctrl).

    1. Does AI load first of you Ace2 addons? If so, it will be listed because it loads the ace2 libs first (and will be listed even tho other addons cause the usage)
    2. You have a real old version of AI, AI shouldn't take any cpu if not visible.
    3. Seeing that much usage while you just stand there... old comp?

I don't know how protractor works. One thing that is obvious tho is that the numbers adds up to ~100% and I doubt your comp use 100% cpu while playing wow. So, if it uses 50% cpu, then it would be more likely that AI use 38.2% of that. Have you tried any other profiling addon? Result from those?

    edit:
My numbers with profiling turned on:

You're absolutely right. ArkInventory loads Ace2, and does all of it's processing for all other addons. Thus, my processing would be inaccurate. Problem spotted.

Now, if only something had told me this before I posted here...

According to Protractor ArkInventory is using 66% of both my CPU and memory.

    That is all.

edit: Arkayenro hasn't been online since March. It seems the mod is discontinued.

Thats amazingly hard to believe. You either have a really messed up install or a really messed up computer.

AI doesn't even take .01 % of my CPU and memory doesn't even make the top 10.

I would hate to see you try and run KTM.. that pulls 10% CPU on my system :p

I'm going to turn profiling on again and see if that's accurate.

edit: BTW, that's the exact reason I only turn KTM on in raids.

Dear Lord, what insane people have played WoW for over a year? You should not listen to them out of principle, they're just folks without any real life outside of WoW... it's sad more than anything. *sigh*.

And I thought my 150+ days was quite a bit..

    Quote from tekkub »

You want to know my biggest issue with KLHTM? Since 2.0 there is _NO_ need for the all the addon sync. The API gives full access to what each member is casting, the only data that needs to be exchanged is talents information. But whatever, not like I'm ever going to try to rewrite their addon.

As for replies above, KMFDM does not send data, it simply responds to version queries.

Wouldn't calculating 40 people's threats instead of only your own actually decrease performance?

What bothers me most about it is it's running when I'm not actually raiding and I can't turn it off without reloading my interface.

Also, I can perfectly see why guilds require it. It decreases the learning curve on many encounters by quite a bit. Less time spent learning, more time spent killing things. Not everyone already knows how to not pull threat. Also, there's people like me who like to do every last bit of DPS possible.

Maybe a tool that would be more in line with the philosophy that tekkub is spouting would be a simple "Threat Per Second" dial, ranking you in relation to designated tank(s). That would at least let you know (by watching the dial shoot up) that your tank had some kind of agro gen dip.

That would be even cooler than the KTM bars! As a DPS, I don't really care about anyone's DPS but mine and the tank.

Actually, I like that idea quite a bit. There's so many factors that come into play wit hthreat, that's why KTM is so massive. But if a more general TPS number could be estimated, that fixes a lot of things. For one, it kills the constant swapping of every damn action that's performed, you just need to send out a single numer every second or so, if it changed at all. Also a very simple "reset" could be sent for Feign Death/etc that could be used to guage/monitor how often a player's threat was reduced. Could be a great tool for hunter leaders to make sure their hunters are FDing, without being too intrusive like rankings can be. Meter mods really are the scourge of all mods because they give people an unwanted need to compete with each other.

Yea, I love the idea of giving people a simple baseline comparison. Just take everyone's values and standardize it against the highest MT threat. So the MT gets 1.0, an overnuker would get a 1.2, a good off tank is at 0.9, and a good nuker is at 0.7 or so. It seems a much simpler solution, and in the end would probably be much more elegant code.

This would be good, except you wouldn't know how far away you are from the maintank, only how fast you are coming closer to them.
