    Other than that, I don't see any reason you'd want to have your health and mana bars in totally separate areas of the screen...


    I am designing a UI for which I wanted the health and mana bars to be slightly different sizes, for aesthetic purposes.

    Since I'm sure my subject is vague, what I really mean is...will we ever be able to split up the various elements of a category (i.e., health bar, mana bar under "Player") into separate entities? That way, the different bars could be scaled independently of one another, placed in different areas of the screen, etc.
