    Hmm your raid leader really docks your dkp if you say brb pee pee when you're clearing trash or something?

    That's pretty sad.

    Quite a nazi

    In this case, its a autoresponder to a "Ready?" request in our standby channel.
    So its possible to go take a shit, watch some TV ect. without being paranoid of a check while you are gone for a few seconds.

    I know that i ruins the use of those ready checks, but being paranoid of loosing your passive dkp because you were taking a shit ain't cool either.

    You can use Prat's CustomFilters module also, you just define a filter for the text you want, set the filter to replace the trigger text with the response text, and set the filter to send the output to the custom channel.

    Hi Sylvanaar, thanks for the tip.
    However, i do not seem to be able to choose what channel to send the output to.
    I check "Secondary output" in my Inbound filter.
    Choose "ForwardMessage" in Output.

    It just gives me the the error when i trigger the filter:
    Interface\AddOns\Ace2\AceEvent-2.0.lua:301:SendChatMessage(): Unknown chat type

    My guess is that you forgot to add the posibility to choose output channel under the "ForwardMessage" option or?

    Thank you, looking forward to an answer.

    Regarding CustomFilters.

    A string of:
    Polymorph on [cctarget] removed by [caster]'s [spell if present, empty if meleehit]
    Spit out by Bigbrother in a partychat/raidchat, would that be possible to block without making the pattern as wide as: Polymorph on ?

    Because without the ability that's already suggested on the Google page to choose the channel where from to search for the pattern, it would filter way too much tactic talk ect. in the chat is my concern.

    Thank you.

    Possible to show talentpoints xx/xx/xx gathered from the new 2.3 inspect-talent feature in the tooltip?
    Instead of the current gathered from Rock?

    I guess it would decrease addon comunication when you can request the same data from the game instead, that would also make you able to see talentpoints from a non-rock user?

    (Not sure if/why this haven't been requested, but i couldn't find it anywhere at least)

    Best regards.
    Yves.

    Possible to get some author response ?

    Bump?
    I have still not found an addon able to do this.

    Is it possible to add custom channels to the addon Matrix110 mentioned?

    Or would the "If "x" message is received in "y" channel, respond with "sentence"
    Addon take too long to fix for a coder with too much spare time ?

    Thanks in advance!
    Yves.

    tekkub Came with this statement in my look for a bossblocker, able to block BigBrother's spam if announcements are enabled.
    Quote from tekkub »

    I highly suggest you harass the author of the mod you wish to block if an addon isn't using this format. It's an unofficial standard that you send boss mod spam in the format "*** Message goes here ***" so that it is very simple to block. As far as I know every boss mod uses that, but I havn't really raided a ton since BC came out so I haven't been exposed to other people's mods spamming the fuck out of the raidwarn channel.

    Therefore, please update your announcement's embedded with "*** announcement ***"

    Edited and tested:

    Misdirection announcement:
        -- self
        BigBrother:Print(L["Misdirection on |cff40ff40%s|r."]:format(Unitname));
       elseif i==2 then
        -- party
        SendChatMessage("*** "..L["Misdirection on %s"]:format(Unitname).." ***","PARTY")
       elseif i==3 then
        -- raid
        SendChatMessage("*** "..L["Misdirection on %s"]:format(Unitname).." ***","RAID")
       elseif i==4 then
        -- guild
        SendChatMessage("*** "..L["Misdirection on %s"]:format(Unitname).." ***","GUILD")
       elseif i==5 then
        -- officer
        SendChatMessage("*** "..L["Misdirection on %s"]:format(Unitname).." ***","OFFICER")

    CC broken announcement:
        -- self
        if Source and Skill then
         addon:Print(L["%s on %s|r removed by %s|r's %s"]:format(CCType, VictimHostile..Victim, SourceHostile..Source, Skill))
        elseif Source then
         addon:Print(L["%s on %s|r removed by %s|r"]:format(CCType, VictimHostile..Victim, SourceHostile..Source))
        else
         addon:Print(L["%s on %s|r is removed"]:format(CCType, VictimHostile..Victim))
        end
       elseif i==2 then
        -- party
        SendChatMessage("*** "..message.." ***","PARTY")
       elseif i==3 then
        -- raid
        SendChatMessage("*** "..message.." ***","RAID")
       elseif i==4 then
        -- guild
        SendChatMessage("*** "..message.." ***","GUILD")
       elseif i==5 then
        -- officer
        SendChatMessage("*** "..message.." ***","OFFICER")

    I also attached the edited bigbrother.lua

    Thank you!

    No, but you do need to enclose them in quotes to make a string, and use concatenators:
    SendChatMessage("*** "..message.." ***", "PARTY")

    It was taken out of a context mate :P
    "message" is defined earlier:

     if Source and Skill then
      message = string.format(L["%s on %s removed by %s's %s"], CCType, Victim, Source, Skill)
     elseif Source then
      message = string.format(L["%s on %s removed by %s"], CCType, Victim, Source)
     else
      message = string.format(L["%s on %s is removed"], CCType, Victim)
     end

    _________________________________________________

    Question is, if i can put the stars around "message" or if i should do it where "message" is defined?
    Where "message is defined":
    message = string.format(L["#*#*#*%s on %s removed by %s's %s#*#*#*"], CCType, Victim, Source, Skill)

    Or

    Around "message":
    SendChatMessage(#*#*#*message#*#*#*,"RAID")
    ?

    *edit*
    tekkub:
    Thanks a lot for the nice explanation!
    Appreciate it mate.

    I wasn't talking about modifying the raid leader's version
    Ah, my fault.

    It's better when everyone plays by the community not-a-standard
    Indeed, im not much into lua coding, and especially not svn and this wowace comunity. But should i post in the BigBrother post, or have a talk with the author about the tribble stars in he's announcement or should i just commit it?

    ("%*%*%*")

    What does the percentage signs represent, wildcards?
    In that case, why is there 2 percentage signs in the middle of the 3 stars?
    I suppose that BigWigs doesn't have to search for "spam" within the 3 stars, only before and after?
    Example. ***%boss spam%*** = %***%

    Thanks a lot for your effort tekkub!
    It feels like we/I is closing up on a solution!

    _________________________________________________
    *edit*
    Im currently trying to edit BigBrother to surround it's public channel anouncements with 3 stars.

    But would this be valid?
    SendChatMessage(message,"PARTY")

    to
    SendChatMessage(***message***,"PARTY")

    Or do i have to place the stars in the strings where "message" is defined ?

    Thanks.
