Feb 18, 2010I'm actually testing a bit, have tried Bison and femtoBuff. With Bison which isn't updated for some time, most things were ok. But it didn't seem to support coloring using ButtonFacade. My weapon poison buffs where shown with a white border for example. Positive that it supported 40 buffs and had fairly easy configuration. With femtoBuff (a small skinmod on wowi) I was happy with the appearance, but it seemed to bug out and lock the Buff frame so I could not move it any longer.Posted in: AddOn HELP!
Gonna try out a few more, including Buffalo. I saw that there was a "Buffalo 3" beta on Curse, but it some commented that it lacked features from Buffalo 2.
Feb 18, 2010I also want a simple buff addon, but one that doesn't use bars mainly. I prefer icons for less screenspace on long timers, but bars on buffs that are about to run out or have short duration would be ok. Anyway, I wanted to skin the buff icons with buttonfacade, and the possibility to move and change distance grouping f.e.Posted in: AddOn HELP!
I found Buffalo and Bison, but both are fairly old. It might not stop them from working, but some comments seemed to indicate a few bugs or missing features. But might just test them anyway.
I also know of Satrina Buff Frames and it looks good, but maybe a bit to much for my needs.
No other simple skin/size/move buff addon that I've missed?
Feb 16, 2010Tested the newest beta version, and worked very well for me. I deleted the settings I had from the earlier version just to be safe. As I don't have any spellcaster characters, I use it somewhat inverted, with a really big target castbar (aka interruptbar for me) and small player castbar. Edit: Ok, I found and started using BankItems. It works as I intended, being a memory of bags/bank for all characters. Easy and good addon. Although it's not one bag, but a hundred.

You are missing the point. I already stated that to get results that show all libraries separated disembedding is needed, but I just did the test to find anomalies.
It is not hard to see that something is wrong.
Is there some guide to do disembedding? I don't want to run the shitty Curse client. I feel I need to do it now to see how inaccurate my crappy test was.
Feb 12, 2009Regarding the summonable Lexicon, I don't think it will be used that much. Currently the bosses are so easy it doesn't matter if a tank doesn't respec for dps on next boss. If the bosses with optional kill modes in Ulduar is really hard tanks will be swapped out for other dps anyway instead of respeccing in raid. But even so, it is a nice addition which will probably have some use to do "live" respeccing in certain situations.Posted in: General Chat

Nope, I only had PB4 using Dogtag. And it's fine to test as I did, whatever you say. Dogtag isn't part of Ace3 yes?

Yeah to get accurate report on libraries usage you need to do that. But if you know the circumstances and how thing works, doing a profiling with embedded works fine to find anomalies.
I did a cheap-ass disembedd (just added Ace2/3 so they got loaded first separately). With that config it was PB4+Ace3 that was very high load. ButtonBin got down to nothing, so it is fine. Also that is why Aloft is a bit high in the test, because it loads with Ace2. Edited the post above to reflect that.
Edit: With Ace3 loaded separately, I can see a strange thing as I did comment on in the first post. Only with player frame active PB4 uses a fairly high amount of CPU. But Ace3 idles. When I target+focus myself, both PB4 and Ace3 jumps up alot in CPU usage. For Ace3 it was from below 1% to over 30% (checking with FPF).

Regarding this with CPU usage, I installed your mod as I also had Pitbull4 currently. After some buffing, testing and dummy dps:ing Pitbull 4 got very high, much higher than your screen. So to continue testing, I went back to AG_Unitframes (which also uses Ace3).
Edit: After some double testing and also running with Fubar_Perf instead of Broker_CPU I came to the conclusion that I must have made something stupid first test with AGUF. As I could not get it to show as heavy CPU usage later. Think it was me opening the config and changing something, causing a big jump in CPU.
But yeah, PB4 does use a lot of CPU currently. In FPF it was on about 11% and just by targeting myself it jumped to 30% and stayed there.
Here are my numbers with FPF:
ButtonBin is high in this screen due to it being loaded with Ace3. Doing a test with Ace3 separate showed that BB is fine, and in reality the heavy load is on PB4+Ace3.
I run embedded and AGUF is my first addon in the folder, so it is also likely that it reports higher usage due to libraries. Aloft loads with Ace2 so it is also higher than it is in reality.
Note: Both AGUF and PB4 is configured with similar layout by myself. And I was using only Player/Target/Focus frame + Target's Target and Focus Target. I tested by just targeting+focusing myself, mounting up and dismounting a few times then dps:ed a target dummy about 2m.
PS: I am not complaining on PB4, I like it a lot. I'm confident it will be much more efficient when it's done. Just reporting with my tests.
Feb 2, 2009Used a mod earlier as rogue that had Chinese characters as combo points graphics. They looked good even if they where not correlated to the points, which might be possible with runes. It looks good already anyway. It does take time to setup, but I'm pleased with the flexibility and options.
So at the moment, I'm running Windows 7 (beta) with ATI graphics driver (beta), World of Warcraft with Pitbull4 (alpha/beta). Now if only PTR can pop up so I can run some more beta stuff. :)
