Thanks, I'll do that.Quote from
I like the minus sign. You can replace 'function GridStatusHealth:FormatHealthText(cur, max)' from an external module without having to change Grid.

Nov 15, 2006What are thoughts on removing the minus sign on the center text health deficit? I mean, isn't it implied that the value is negative? I only bring it up because at some scale resolutions the value doesn't fit very well in the cell.Posted in: Grid & Grid2
I'd wishlist this, but it is really such a minor thing I didn't think it warranted an item.
Sep 30, 2006This was brought up in the praid thread, but the Clique praid plugin doesn't return if it processed the click, leading us to take default action on the click too. I changed mine to like this, which works, but however you want to fix it is up to you :)Posted in: General AddOns
function Plugin.OnClick(button, unit) local retVal = Clique:OnClick(button, unit) if not retVal and button == "RightButton" then return Clique:UnitMenu(unit) end return retVal end
Sep 6, 2006If you chose to disable EavesDrop (from the dewdrop menu), the Metrognome timer isn't unregistered, which causes an error when you re-enable it. EavesDrop.lua:106 "EavesDrop" already registered. Just needs the unregister call in the OnDisable function to fix.Posted in: General AddOns
Is there a way to hide EavesDrop completely? Some profiles I'd like it not to be there at all.
Aug 10, 2006I am pleased to report that I spent an hour in AV on the PTR using the latest SVN and had no problems with the Roster getting out of sync, always was up to date, and never got stuck in whatever tight loop was killing my frame rate. Works like a charm.Posted in: General AddOns
I have all the wow icons decompressed and on the web, send me a PM if you're still looking for them. I'd rather not post the url because there's quite a few and I don't want it to become common knowledge.
Aug 7, 2006I just tried the current SVN in the 1.12 BGs. I'm not getting the frame rate decrease I was seeing before, but suddenly I get a message in the chat frame:Posted in: General AddOns
RosterLib: count mismatch: roster: 41 members: 42 - silent
The squishy frame disappears at that point. I try to restart it with /sq standby twice (is that the prefered reset method?). After a while (anywhere from 30sec to a few minutes) it pops back up but almost immediately abends with a scripting error box:
attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'aggromodifier' (a nil value)
Sometimes it says 'healstart' instead of 'aggromodifier'. The script error is always immediately preceeded by the RosterLib message.
Aug 4, 2006Sorry about the delay on responding to these questions.Posted in: General AddOns

today I joined AV while in a raid of 10 and I was the only person to go in. Once I did, I joined a new raid
so you auto-left the prior raid, right? The blizzard raid tab (social pane) only showed the new raid (battleground) units?
Yes I autoleft the prior raid and the raid tab as well as perfect raid switched to the new bg group.
There were no "leaves the raid group" messages, but a ton of "joins the raid group"
Squishy shouldn't print any such info. Or was this in the combat log, maybe caused by a different addon?
I was referring to the default blizzard chat spam. I mentioned it since it seems like there's no notification of leaving the old raid, just the people joining the new one.
/sq wtf reported: roster incomplete, hiding Squishy frame.
Did it report anything else, such as eg. "count mismatch: roster:20 members:10" or "XY not in roster" or "X in roster but should be deleted"?
No that was the strange thing. It just said incomplete and then said the window position and "resetting all options"
I reset and and tried again, and my frame rade dropped from 45fps slowy down below 3fps.
This is odd. If Squishy can't create a valid roster table, it'll reschedule a new attempt in 0.1sec. For some reason you seem to have ended up in an endless loop. I can't imagine it causing such a FPS drop.
Yeah at first I thought it was because I had 50 people on my screen, but when I was doing testing my frame rate was dropping with only 2 or 3 people visible. Suspending squishy immediately made the frame rate shoot back up.
I'll keep looking into it and see if I can provide any better information.
Aug 2, 2006Apparently I wasn't completely accurate about the raid -> battleground thing because today I joined AV while in a raid of 10 and I was the only person to go in. Once I did, I joined a new raid and squishy stopped updating. There was a person from the new raidgroup on the list who had buffed and dropped below the 85% mark, so it was working then stopped shortly after.Posted in: General AddOns

I tried again, and same thing happened, I got in and squishy stopped updating. I quickly did a /sq wtf and it said everything was fine. Waited for more people to join, and then /sq wtf said roster incomplete.
So there is certainly a problem on test, but this doesn't happen for me on live.
Aug 1, 2006Yes if you enter a BG as part of a raid you stay in the raid. The raid you auto-join still has members named raid1-raid40, you get a new chat channel BATTLEGROUND, but keep the old RAID channel. I don't know how the groups get rearranged once you join the bg raid.Posted in: General AddOns
If you try to /ra say something while only in BATTLEGROUND, it doesn't say anything like "You are not in a raid" it just eats the message. I have not experimented with the SendAddonMessage to see what happens if you join a BG while in a raid and you send the message to RAID.
I see a problem where squishy stopped updating in AV on test too, but I haven't been able to reproduce it reliably enough to debug.
Aug 1, 2006I just was recommended this addon this morning and have been raiding on the PTR with it and love it. This is so going to be my new emergency monitor.Posted in: General AddOns
I was reading over the code and noticed this bit in core.lua:460
if GetNumRaidMembers() > 0 then SendAddonMessage("SQU", msg, "RAID") elseif GetNumPartyMembers() > 0 then SendAddonMessage("SQU", msg, "PARTY") endThis is redundant with the documentation of SendAddonMessage(). If you say RAID and the player is only in a party, you get a PARTY message on the other side. If you say RAID or PARTY and the player isn't in either, the message gets eaten. Not a big deal at all, though.
I'm a mod dev too (WeaponQuickSwap, SellValue, StanceSets, etc) and feel your pain about maintaining a mod. I've been trying to think for close to 2 years now how we could all use SVN to somehow let all the users update all their mods with a single click using independant svn repositories. Unfortunately it would have to be completely transparent because most people start to ignore you if you try to explain how to get a working copy from a repostitory :)
Keep up the good work!
