Jun 24, 2007I think you all just lack patience and take time to read what is said. All will be fully optional at a certain point, but it is in a stage of development that it is not. If you can't live with it, then just read the quote from samasnier.Posted in: General AddOns
Besides i don't get what you mean that i don't listen to my userbase. I clearly pointed out what i would do, and i did a lot of things for the userbase as well. Which i personally never needed. This also includes a Mend Pet feature for example. Fact is that in it's current state it is not optimal, and some people don't even want it. But you'll just have to wait till it is in a more refined state where it is optional. Patience my dear :) I need to go outside and see the sunshine as well now and then, next to playing WoW, and then some coding and studying as well.
It will be all ok, but this still remains a development version. And that is what many people forget.
Jun 23, 2007Stick to the official release if you don't want the *bloat*, as you call it. It works as it should and does what you want. Besides, this addon is not *only* a feed pet addon. It maybe in it's current state, but it is never intended that way. I'll make the functionality as optional as possible, but this still remains a development version and not a release version. Release versions can be found on the official website like curse, ui.wow or wowi.Posted in: General AddOns
Jun 22, 2007If you want to have the old style option, then you have to disable the Mend Pet button in the settings as mentioned earlier.Posted in: General AddOns
If you have Mend Pet enabled then the button will be persistent and never hide. This due to blizz not allowing to show/hide buttons in combat.
Default logic without Mend Pet is as follows :
- Show button when pet is unhappy or content and there is food and you are not in combat and there is a pet
Default logic with Mend Pet is :
- When in combat swap to Mend Pet, otherwise to Feed Pet
There will be some changes in the future like revive pet/call pet/dismiss pet, and i will see how those work with all in one button. Otherwise i might split those into 2 buttons. One Feed Pet and one Mend/Revive/Call/Dismiss. How things seem to be looking i think i am going to prefer the latter solution.
Remember this is a dev version :)

Maybe I'm blind, but for me there is no Feed-Button. I use the german client for wow, maybe this is the problem!?
Try updating to the last version and see if the problem still persists.
Generally the feed button only shows up when pet is hungry and food is available. You can alter some settings in the option menu to make the button persistent.
If you are getting an error please let me know what the error is.
Jun 8, 2007Yes, it makes use of my recently added FrameLib library.Posted in: General AddOns
Seems you are correct that it is not accessable from files.wowace. Hope it will get fixed soon.
For the moment i can only say to not run it with disembedded libraries. It should work perfectly then :)
Sorry for the mess, hope your pet does not die from starvation till someone fixes it. I have no idea how to fix it unfortunate.

Not sure if I'm in the right place, if not, forgive me.
I'm using "King of the Jungle". I have a food ID 12212 Jungle Stew that doesn't show anywhere. I believe KotJ is using pt3 for items.
Does this need to be added to the pt3 library?
I love ace mods, but have no idea how they work!
Using pt3 browser I find this and many others under food - misc. KotJ does not have this category. I guess I will just manually feed for awhile.
If any food should be classified for fruit/bread or whatever the pet eats, and it is classified under misc, then it is misclassified. So yes, you should suggest any food changes here.
Regarding the subject : Underspore Pod and Skyguard Rations should both be classified as fruit. I changed that in the data.lua file. Am i correct that you make sure the data is done with compressplit so it ends up in the right spot ?

Anyone who can consistently reproduce the raid-related crash, please post the revision number in which the crash began. You can get old versions from http://files.wowace.com/PitBull/
Somewhere in between it is, try to nail it further down
Apr 5, 2007IS there a way to determine if a specific part in PT3 has been updated. For example if the food has been updated or some other part. The only way to check if PT3 is updated atm is to check it's svn version number afaik, and that could be any change anywhere in PT3.Posted in: Libraries
It would be great to be able to check if a specific portion of PT3 got updated so you can reflect those changes in the addon that is making use of PT3, if people want to do that (i am one of those). For my purpose it is reasonable enough to know if there has been a change in PT3-Consumable. Though it would be great if you could check version on every list in the file (although that may be too much perhaps too add)
