Still loving it Ark. By far the best addon of this complexity ever developed.

    One teeny thing:

You recently made the search frame filter instantly update the matched list - tres cool!

When I press my shift-I keybinding to open the Search frame, however, it puts an "I" in the filter and I have to backspace it out. Not a major issue.

I'm sure if you set the search frame keybind to Shift-B, a B would pop up.

If it's difficult to fix, no worries. The usefulness of the frame far outweighs the extra backspace I have to type.

I think he is aware this solution exists, however he finds it non satisfactory.
@Oodyboo : what you're asking is technically feasible but that would mean for every configurable parameter you would have to define in which namespace (char, realm, default, class, profile...) you want to store it : you're asking for one thing but be sure that someone else would want to store the position at character level and the missing buffs at default level. Anyway it would lead to a nightmare cluttering of configuration interface...

Yea I find myself often tweaking statuses and indicators etc, and copying my profile every time I change something is nearly as much work as enabling/disabling the spells. I would have to maintain a default profile, make changes, then copy that default to each character profile, and then re-enable the character specific spells each time I made a change.

I guess I thought it would simpler to add another class checkbox list akin to the "Display For" options currently in the addon that would be stored on a per-profile basis. I would guess that those who want character specific profiles for positioning could set each one up for missing buffs (or all enabled buff checks would show for all classes by default). But if it's that complex, then don't bother.

It would be awesome if this addon could check to see if you actually had the spell before displaying the buff missing icon.

I play both a mage and a priest. When I'm on my mage, I see "missing fortitude" and I have to disable all the priest buffs, then enable all the mage ones - "arcane intelligence". A few hours later, I'm playing my priest and all I see are people missing Arcane Int... I have to disable arcane int and enable all the priest buffs again.

I use a default profile for all 8 of my alts because keeping 8 different profiles maintained every time I reposition or change something is absurd.

If checking the spellbook for the spell is not viable, perhaps an option list like the "Display For" class list that checked the class of the caster instead of the target could be added. Maybe call it "Display For" and rename "Display For" to "Display On".

So I could set Fortitude to "Display For" priests, and "Display On" all classes. I could set Arcane Int to "Display For" mages, and "Display On" all mana users.

Just a thought... I may be the only person with this issue and it's not critical, as I have found alternative addons to handle my buffs.

    Ideas:

Wondering if this addon could use color gradients to show just how much healing is reduced by.

Currently, a single application of wound poison (-10% healing) looks identical to MS (-50% healing) which also looks identical to some of the npc 'mortal strikes' (-100% healing!!)

If I could assign a color gradient like "GridStatusHotStack" does for counting HoTs, this would make the indicator much more useful.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a separate, but possibly related note, would it be reasonable to detect healing reduction debuffs by finding the text "reduces healing by X%" ?

This would not only eliminate the need to maintain a hardcoded table of every ability in game that reduces healing, it may also simplify the coding of a color gradient indicator :)

I can't find the option to not steal whispers from my normal chat frame.

Really need some way to keep the text in my normal whisper frame in addition to the little conversation frames.

Would there be any way to code a manager to load zone based addon sets?

Zoning is effectively a reload anyway.

I'm guessing if the addon manager can determine the zone you are entering before the rest of the addons load, it might work.

Ideally if I zone into a 25-man raid zone, it would load my "Raid Set" with ORA, BigWigs, XRS, etc.
If I zone into a battleground, it would load my "BattleGround Set"
Otherwise it would load the "Default Set" etc...

In the famous words of Ron, "Set it and Forget it!"

Any ideas if this is possible?
If so, I would even be willing to try coding it - my first addon since 2.0 broke my personal ones.

    Thanks for your input.

    BuffTehRaid -> Behavior -> Minimum Group = 4
BuffTehRaid -> Behavior -> Wait for Class/Group (OFF)

Autobuff counts out of range/out of zone players to meet the "Minimum Group" requirement even though they will not get the buff.

I have "Wait for Class/Group" off because I prefer to cast single buffs on in range players while waiting for laggers or while running back. If I turn Wait for Class/Group on, then it won't buff in range players who need buffs while we wait. I would like to configure the autobuff key to always cast buffs when someone in range needs one without wasting group buff reagents because some players are out of range.

Today, still using r68821, this feature seems to be working properly. I'll let you know if I figure out what was happening to make it cast group buffs with most players out of range.

does this rule have the lowest order number? ie is there another rule picking it up? can you check the item debug info and see what it says.

I find the easiest way to determine why my items aren't being sorted the way I expect is to right click on the item in Edit Mode and the menu popup clearly indicates how the item is currently being categorized. You may find another rule with higher priority (aka lower Order) is also matching your trinkets.

in 1600x1200 resolution i cannot access the Profile settings for Omen.

It's is located in the new Interface Options Addons Tab but Omen has it's own "Outline" style menu tree that takes up half of the right pane. This leaves a very small column for the actual options.

In my case, the right side of all the profile drop boxes are cut off behind the scroll bar, so I can't actually change any of the profile options.

Ok How do I stop ZOMGBuffs from turning on "BuffTehRaid -> Groups ->Auto Assign" constantly.

    This is a show-stopper.

I have turned it off 100+ times now. It keeps turning back on constantly.

When this option is enabled, the addon fails to operate properly. It does not buff the groups that it "assigned" me to. It simply does nothing, I believe it says it is "waiting" for the groups that it unchecked, even though they are present.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TURN OFF AUTOASSIGN OR MAKE THE TOGGLE PERSISTENT.

    ---edit add---
I specced my priest for improved spirit to placate some whiney guildmates and so I should be assigned for all groups in the raid, not just some groups. The untogglable "auto-assign" logic does not take this into account. I typically turn off Fortitude and just do spirit on everyone.
Unfortunately every raid I have to re-assign myself to all groups in order for the addon to cast any spirit at all, even on the groups that i have been "auto-assigned" to.

In addition, "auto-assign" should ignore players who do not have the addon. How are they supposed to know what groups they are "auto-assigned" to? And "auto-assign" would have to take in to account talents in order to make any reasonable assignments. It would also need to take in to account the spells I have enabled and disabled. It also shouldn't "wait" for groups that I'm not assigned to (right now it waits for them even when they are present, completely disabling the addon...)

I'm sure there are countless other exceptions and scenarios that would have to be accounted for in order for this logic to be the least bit useful.
