This is currently not possible, Avion was mainly created for animated textures not constant ones. Once I finish all Avion modules (only Comatlog missing) I may update LibAvion-1.0 and allow triggering each state of an animation, eg. "Show and animate on buffgain" and "Fade on buff loose".

This would be awesome if these event triggers could eventually be added to Avion. While I'm patiently awaiting this possibility I can simply use Power Auras for "static" textures so please take your time =)

Sorry for the delay - been busy.

Here is a screenshot of my PowerAura paladin buff indicators:

The left shot shows these buffs:
    Seal of Crusader (White Cross)
    Blessing of Wisdom (Blue Heiroglyphs)
    Concentration Aura (Green Heiroglyph)
Righteous Fury (Yellow 'brush' things on top)

    The Right shot shows these:
Seal of Blood (Red blood drop)
    Blessing of Kings (Purple Heiroglyph)
    Retribution Aura (Red Heiroglyph)
    Divine Shield (White bubble)

Basically the middle shows which seal I have, surrounded by my blessing, surrounded by Aura, with a couple extra wizbangs for Fury, Shield, etc.

Please excuse my lack of screenshot and cropping skills.

edit: These buff indicators reflect my current buffs. They are displayed while the buff is active, and fade immediately when I change buff or get purged. I don't believe there is currently a way to set up Avion to reproduce this... the textures fade away after X duration.

I also have a similar type grid of textures for seeing debuffs on my target. Immensely useful in raids to see that Curses and Judgements and other important debuffs are applied to the boss without trying to pick them out from a huge list of raid dots and debuffs.

I recently decided to try this out as a replacement for PowerAura2, and it's got some really nice animation features.

One thing I do miss however, is in PowerAura2 I was able to create a small grid of textures indicating which buffs I currently had on. For my paladin it was essentially an icon indicating which seal I had on, with a colored circle around it indicating which blessing, and a colored circle around that indicating which aura I had on. I found this immensely useful to quickly identify which of my buffs were active. With seals being applied and changed, this was amazing. The timer function was also incredibly useful for the Seals.

Is there any way to duplicate this in Avion, or shall I go back to PA2?

I noticed an earlier post you indicated you could set the Wait time equal to the buff duration, but in the case of seals they often are released by judgements before this time is up. Also, auras and buffs like "Soul Link" have no duration.

Just wondering if I can expect features like this from Avion, or if I should use Avion for more dynamic things while keeping PA2 for buff indicators.

    @paard:
Make sure you both define an animation with a texture and assign it to an event.

In the Edit animation menu under Testing you can hit "Trigger" and it should fire the animation without you assigning it to an event.

    These toggles no longer function:
    /auto queue enabled
    /auto queue join
    /auto queue delay

I turned off all these functions and the addon continued to join battlegrounds after 100 seconds.

Also these features seem to disable the "Esc" key from either clearing my target or opening the main menu. =(

If there was a simple keybinding to "cast a blessing" then you wouldn't need button frames at all.

Won't raid without this addon, and I appreciate the nice new colored timers but...

This addon *needs* a keybinding or /command to cast "a blessing"
Instead of having to click each class, I should be able to press "Cast a Blessing" key and it would cast the blessings (starting with the most needed as depicted by the button colors)

I also agree it would be nice to assign different single blessings for specific players (cough druids cough), but I haven't (yet) thought of a good way to do it either.

Here's a better reason to use EQCompare instead of the default one:

The default UI compare does not work for links in chat frames with or without shift.

How do I change which chat frame the debug messages go to?

Debug messages in combat log is not helpful at all because they spam away way before I have time to look at them.

Due to taint (guess) I'm healing random people every once in a while and run /script GridFrame:ListRegisteredFrames() but it's gone by the time I have time to look at it.

This bug basically wipes my raid and/or arena team every time it happens =(

    Edit: figured it out! GridCore.lua line 16 Grid.debugFrame = ChatFrame2

Since 2.1 I have encountered problems many times where my heals are landing on people I am not clicking. Halfway through Magtheridon, my heals start landing on a mage instead of the warrior I am clicking on.

In a rated 5v5 arena match, my heals start landing on a water elemental instead of the shaman I am clicking on. Very strange considering I don't even have water elemental frames.

This has happened probably 6-10 times now since 2.1 patch and I am about to stop using Grid after 6 months of swearing by it.

I update Grid using WAU daily and I use clique to run this macro: /stopcasting /cast Flash Heal

Edit: I was using /cast [target=mouseover] Flash Heal and still encountered this problem.
I now think it is being caused by a different addon taint or something, and I am currently testing this with most of my other addons disabled. It occurs very rarely so hard to test.

I have the same issues. If you disable your Unit Frames addon or your Grid things will be ok>I tested Grid with AGUI and X-Perl and Grid crash with both.I would like to know if Pastamancer &/or Maia are working on it.Also I would like to let you know that i had the problem with targeting too(i was targeting a warrior for example and my heals was landing on a mage or shaman etc).

I'm pretty sure this is related to another addon interfering/tainting Grid, since I have the utmost faith in Maia and Pastamancer (love the concise&accurate forum answers too). I didn't notice this problem until 2.1 patch so I don't know for sure what's causing it. I have yet to experience the problem since disabling the majority of my other addons, but it's so rare(yet devastating) I can't say that it's gone for me as of yet.

I run an old Discord Unit Frame ported for 2.0 (still the most configurable UF addon), Clique, and Grid. I use standalone libraries.

Just encountered an issue in AB where I click on one person's Grid Frame and it heals a different person. Could this be caused by people joining/leaving while I'm in combat?

    edit more info:
    Grid 35427
    Clique (BC) v0.1 -- runs /stopcasting /cast [target=mouseover] Flash Heal

Seems to cast on my target (instead of my mouseover target) when this happens, still trying to consistently reproduce it.

Need option to disable health bar, like power bar and cast bars have enable/disable option.

Also I cannot make the width greater than 400.

Edit: Figured out how to split debuffs from buffs!
