    Text placement is frustrating as hell.

    I'm on a druid with Vertical bar frames.

    I have "Power" text set to "Frame:Inside, Top-Left"

    "DruidMana" text is set to "Frame:Edge, Top-Left" , which is halfway off the frame (and hence off my screen).

    If I try to set DruidMana to "Frame:Inside, Top-Left" also, it actually switches the Power text to "Frame:Edge, Top-Left"... they simply switch positions so one or the other is off my screen =(

    Ok, so I'll just insert some blank spaces in a custom dogtag to shift the cut-off text down a few lines. I put in some blank lines before the [FractionalDruidMP] tag, and like a miracle it works!!!!!!!!

    However, I don't need to see my Max Mana, so I change "FractionalDruidMP" to "DruidMP"... and now the blank lines are ignored in the custom dogtag and the number is off the screen again.

    If I switch the dogtag back to "FractionalDruidMP" then the blank lines adjust the position again.

    This is how I am adjusting the "Frame:edge, top-left" text down so it is actually on my screen.
    Why do the blank lines not adjust the text when I remove the "Fractional" part?

    I have been experiencing lots of very strange issues with blank lines occasionally working to adjust text position, and most of the time it fails and the blank lines are ignored =(

    It appears that for some unknown reason, different dogtags affect whether or not the blank lines adjust the layout.

    This makes positioning text on a vertical frame layout more frustrating than trying to brush my cat's teeth with a sonic toothbrush.

    quick comment re: corner indicators.

    I use all 4 corner indicators for various things. Aggro. Hots. Fear Wards/PoMs/PW:shields/Weaken Soul. Healing Reduced. BoFreedom. BoP/IceBlock/Divine Shields.

    I would welcome multiple indicators in lower-left corner but please don't remove the other corners:)

    I also use GridStatusSideIcons with each side assigned to a different debuff type

    My grid frames are smaller than anyone I've seen ( 20tall 30 wide ) and I still find all of these indicators very useful and have no problems with "clutter."

    Oh yea, and the bottom pixel of the frame is Mana bar, which I *do* find more useful than the built-in binary indicator. (Not to kick that discussion up, just saying options are nice)

    The debuff list in the current implementation seems to be complete.

    I haven't done Sunwell yet, but up through Illidan it seems to have all the raid debuffs I've needed.

    The only odd thing I've noticed is that when fighting Gurtogg with a recent version of this Plugin that shows stack count, it shows the icon both in the center icon *and* the lower left corner with a stack count. Useful info but I haven't been able to disable one or the other icon without disabling both.

    I currently use GridStatusHealingReduced, GridStatusRaidDebuff, and GridStatusHostileUnit (And GridStatusHotStack). I use this information for all 6 of my level 70s:
    Even as a non-healer, HealingReduced can effect my healthstones/pots. RaidDebuffs are important for all classes. And HostileUnit for anyone that can dispel/purge/hamstring/CC or stun mind controlled people (Rogues/Warriors during SSC Kael, Warlock Fear, Mage Sheep, Shamans/Priests to purge, Paladin can HoJ an MC'd, Hunter could Scatter Shot etc). It also helps me to just know what is going on. If leading a Raid, I can call out "more heals on XYZ" if I see a tank get healingReduced, or HotStack plugin allows me to see HoTs on tank (vital in some encounters).

    I don't really care whether these get merged into a "SmartAuras" or not, but I think it would make sense. In the long run it would be less confusing for users (less plugins to install) and easier to maintain for developers.

    However, I'm fairly sure the "GridStatusHostileUnit" isn't doing an aura check at all. It uses "isHostile()" logic to generically check for all mind control effects without having to manually enumerate them.

    I guess I personally find these plugins so valuable that I don't see why they wouldn't be included in Grid itself. Or perhaps module out Grid's Aura checking and create one GridAuras module and include it in the main package.

    One day in Botanica I was talking to a paladin who tried Grid and had decided to go back to Xperl or something because he couldn't find the information he wanted. I told him about the various plugins I use and after installing them he became a dedicated Grid junkie like myself.

    You guys have done a truly amazing job fixing Blizzard's interface. I'm positive I will be happy with however you guys implement these ideas and also very glad this plugin hasn't completely slipped through the cracks.

    I'm not sure if this is an issue with ArkInventory or Postal, but perhaps you could offer some insight:

    I have turned off instant sorting and sorting when the window opens, so in general I have to click the "refresh" button to force a sort.

    However, when using Postal addon to "Open All" mail, it is resorting my bag for each mail that opens.

    What events would cause a bag resort when I have all the visible sort options turned off?

    Sometimes I press the autobuff keybinding out of combat and it fails to cast buffs that are needed.
    ZOMGBuffs even shows the player needing the spell in the ZOMGBuffs button tooltip (playerlist), but not on the ZOMGBuffs button itself. The player was not blacklisted, I was assigned to the group, he was in range, the buff was enabled, etc.

    Probably related to the same issue as I posted yesterday about it casting buffs that are no longer needed; i.e. the buff list getting out of synch.

    It would be very nice if it could re-scan for needed buffs when the key/mousewheel is pressed, or if there was some other way to force a buff check.

    Maybe if I left click on the ZOMGBuffs Icon it could refresh the needed buff list?

    I'm not sure the details of your blocking algorithm, so I have a quick question:

    Does the addon have a whitelist, or otherwise ignore Friends/Guild members from being blocked and reported if they send me a URL?

    Noticed a small issue today:

    1) ZOMGBuffs determined that group 5 in my raid needed Shadow Protection.
    2) Another priest cast Group Shadow Protection on group 5.
    2) ZOMGBuffs didn't update right away, which is to be expected for performance reasons. It showed Group Shadow Protection icon on the button.
    4) When I pressed the "Autobuff" key, ZOMGBuffs cast Group Shadow Protection on Group 5 even though they no longer needed it.

    Would it be possible for the autobuff keybind to refresh the needed buffs before casting?
    This leads me to a feature request:

    An option to disable all buff checks/updates except for when the keybind is pressed. Although ZOMGBuffs seems very efficient, this would completely eliminate any unnecessary CPU cycles and would be very useful for players like me who merely press their Autobuff key to make sure everyone is buffed rather than rely on the notification messages or the icon tooltip.

    Maybe the option could be called "ZomgBuffs -> Behavior -> Only on Autobuff"
    or "Only on Keybind/Wheel"

    I finally switched from DUF to Pitbull and I managed to recreate my vertical unit frame by setting max height and 200% frame scale.

    Unfortunately I've been having a lot of trouble positioning text. The text options seem to all assume horizontal text and bars. With a vertical layout, there are very limited options for positioning text because all the "left" and "right" options are nearly useless aside from justifying the text. This leaves me with basically 3 positions: top, middle, and bottom.

    I have had a little success using custom dogtags to shift the bottom text by adding blank lines, but it doesn't seem to work consistently.

    i managed to get one working on my target frame with the text position as "frame -> inner right"
    the other times I try to use blank lines to adjust the text it doesn't do anything.

    Any ideas?

    The fix is on line 54 in GridIndicatorDebuffCounter.lua -- I just replace the 10 with a 5 but I'm sure there's a more general fix.
