Is there a list of API changes somewhere? For other patches there used to be a Thread from Iriel in the US UI & Macros Forum but now it seems there is none.

I figured it might be a skillset issue, but what about, say, Java?

As a software engineer (and no, I barely know Java so I'm no Java zealot!) it just makes me cringe to see that noone has asked "what is really the right tool for this job?" before going forward.

I should mention that I'm thinking as much of the Mac ports here as Linux when I talk about cross-platform. It strikes me as crazy that you'd want to set out with the intention of supporting Windows and Mac but then do it in a way that will require a bunch of extra work to produce the Mac port. Going cross-platform from the start would make tacking on Linux support almost trivial.

If you look at it like a software engineer then it makes sense and maybe would save developement time but if you look at it from a user point of view cross plattform developement often means downloading additional runtime environments.
And as a user I hate such programs that require me to download additional stuff from what I don't even know what it does (commonly speaking). I don't know how many people that currently use the client do have Java RE installed... not even speaking of QT for Windows.

You have read the numbers Kaelten posted and keeping that in mind it absolutely makes sense to primarily support Windows and Mac and making it as simple for the end user as it can get... the more users, the more people that might try premium ;)

I had problems with the frame strata as well because I use eepanels2 (never got time to switch to kg) and I wrote this into my small addon that I use for stuff like this and it works.

    Minimap:SetFrameStrata("LOW")

(The eePanels use the BACKGROUND strata)

Feasts are not the best food. In our guild we expect top buffing, enchants, flasks, foods etc. Which is why I wrote RBS in the first place. I got sick of slackers. I would love an addon that checks enchants too.
Fish Feasts are the best food (if not ppl need hit/crit/haste or whatever more). Our guild bank is buying fish from members so we always have fish feasts in progress raids.

So I guess the best way would be reading the tooltip and scanning for >= 46 spellpower and/or >= 80 attack power (or that other haste/hit/crit stuff) instead of maintaining a list of valid buffs.

Kaelten, is the plugin system done yet?

I want to rewrite my "hack" that brings blizzards token display to OneBag3 using the plugin system but it doesn't seem to work. I guess the simple sort plugin only works because its called from within OneCore-1.0 directly ;)

Using the NewPlugin or NewPluginType Methods I don't get any changes at the plugin page of OneBag3.

Oh and btw, unchecking the simple sort plugin results in having absolutely no bag buttons, so I guess there is still work to be done :p

I don't know if its possible to get exact numbers for the range, but you could use an estimated range of 50 or 60 yards from the caster of PoH which will mostly be ok I guess.

The display of the targeted group works, but the range check not properly.

Our priest from 4 heals group1 and the people marked out of range are not even in the instance.

The range of PoH is 30 yards by default and with Holy Reach Talent you can increase it by 10%/20% so its either 30 or 33/36 yards range.

Pastamancer, sorry for that "isMine" stuff... I didn't look further if it was used or not... but when I gave the file to a guild resto druid, he said it worked oO
    I didn't test it with 1183 yet.

And in the 1183 build the health frame kinda bugs from time to time and shows no hp, no prob with 1179

I tried fixing the "new" Prayer of Healing by adding a new spellInfo.Type but I havn't found a way to figure out which unitIDs are in the subgroup of the target.

Tracking the people in raid is the only way I can think of.

Anyone got an idea or can fix LHC himself?

I'm still trying to figure out why you need that. If YATA is not skinning itself onload, why not simply fix it (YATA) so others can benefit as well? If you're just doing it for the config display, then, well, less OCD please. :p
I need it because Yata does not work the way you want it to work.
I'm not the author of Yata, I just wanted to help people posting in this thread having the problem that their addon was not skinned on startup.
And since you keep your opinion this is the only thing I can offer them... and no I'm not gonna fix all addons that have problems, I'm lazy as well ;)

So, if someone's addon doesn't support a library that has features you want, it should be up to the library author to fix that?

Technically, BF does not modify other addons. it provides an API for the addon to modify itself. BF is a GUI for the LBF library. Nothing more. It will never save the skin settings/options itself. That's up to the addon.
So it went from a real addon like cyCircled was to a library.. no matter if BF has something to do with cyCircled, its still the same idea, setting up skins for bars.
Sure with that design of the library you wanted to do everything neat and beautiful and hand over the responsibility to the addon authors to keep BF small. But it's not that nice everytime, a lot of addons are not maintained anymore but still work and therefore BF does not work very well but it works.
(I had the same debate about who is responsible for fixing bugs between applications and graphics drivers, as you can see you need to download ~100 MB graphics drivers because of tons of bugfixes for games you don't even play)

BF is designed around the idea that a user gets to select their skin. If they don't select a skin for a given addon (or globally), no skin is applied. This is intentional in that someone might not want a particular addon skinned. Forcing a default skin onload will not happen.

BF supports a variety of button templates. He could simply use one of those for the bag button. Have him look at BT4. /shrug

Why do you need to see a selected skin in the global panel of the options window? If you want to know what addon is skinned with what skin, select the addon. How is that difficult?
I was looking for a solution to my problem and I didn't think about people using different skins (which is not that common I guess). I found a solution and I did not dig further, but you are right, instead of globally reapplying the skin I now do it for the addon that does not set it itself:

    /script local LBF = LibStub("LibButtonFacade"); LBF:Group("Yata"):Skin("Caith", 0.5, true);

Managed to find out the commands...

    Hi all :)

Firstly, I adore this mod. One thing I've noted, however, is that changing skins do not "save". Insomuch as I'll set a skin, it will change, and then when I log out and log back it, it reverts to "Blizzard" skin.

I'm wondering if I have a setting off somewhere?

    Thanks for any help :)

You can make a macro and run it on startup or put it somewhere to autoexecute

    /script local LBF = LibStub("LibButtonFacade"); LBF:Group():Skin("Caith", 0.5, true);

Caith is my skin, 0.5 is my gloss level (0-1) and true is backdrop (true or false)

Since there is a default skin option for ButtonFacade why can't you just build a function that lets you enable the default skin at startup?

If you don't I need to "quick and dirty" run the corresponding ButtonFacade functions that set the default skin in my own little addon at startup.

I've got this problem with Yata and the latest update for Yata was 5months ago.

Sure its easy to say "they need to support my addon in order to work correctly" but hey, its your addon, its a decorator/wrapper that just modifies the other addons so pleeeeeaaaase save the options.

I wish there was an option to only Highlight words and emphasize self in Player Names when it was a separate word and not part of a word. As of now, I get my relative short name emphasized inside all kinds of different words.

So why don't you set " buio " as highlight? If this is your ingame name...

Anyone knows how I can disable the chat backgrounds fading in to 30% alpha when I mouseover them? I want them to be at 0% alpha all the time.
