    Thanks for your support myrroddin.

    To avoid any confusion. Neither SmartRes or HealInc requires oRA2 to be installed. Nor do they interfere with each other. They can all work independently. They all receive and send their data through the same protocol though. Making them work together transparently.

    No need for that Melikae. If there is no LICENSE file included with the addon. And nothing mentioned in the addon files it is All Rights Reserved automaticly.

    Curse project: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/healinc.aspx

    HealInc is a heals-in-progress monitor. It is made to reduce overhealing on a target. It shows the cast bar of all healers currently casting a heal on your target. It recolours the bar red, orange or green if the casted heal is going to overheal or not.

    The addon uses LibHealComm-3.0 for its communication. While your average raid healer will probably have this installed a version checker is included.

    Also included is a resurrection monitor. Very much alike to SmartRes (credit to myrroddin for the basic idea). This uses LibResComm-1.0 for its communication, making it compatible with Ora2.

    A question I have is if the use of LibQuickHealth-2.0 is still needed. My personal experience is that it does make a difference. But this is highly subjective.

    Those comments on that WoWInsider article are shocking. So full of ignorance, miss information and prejudgment.

    If they would realise half of what Curse is doing to streamline addon development...

    Something I would like back from Omen2 is the ability to turn of the title bar. And also the percentage. Just the actual threat amount will do because the bars tells me the %.

    posted a message on Scrolling channel user list fix
    Hey,

    This happens with the default Blizzard UI.

    If you try to scroll the user list (with enough users) for a chat channel in the social pane it errors out with the following error:

    Interface\FrameXML\ChannelFrame.lua:574: Usage: GetChannelDisplayInfo(index):
    Interface\FrameXML\ChannelFrame.lua:574: in function `updateFunction':
    Interface\FrameXML\UIPanelTemplates.lua:233: in function `FauxScrollFrame_OnVerticalScroll':

    So I started poking around the Blizzard code. In UIPanelTemplates.lua FauxScrollFrame_OnVerticalScroll is calling ChannelFrame.lua with a table instead of a channel id. The check at the top of ChannelRoster_Update don't seem to catch this. So I came up with this fix:

    old_ChannelRoster_Update = ChannelRoster_Update;

    function ChannelRoster_Update(id)
        if type(id) == "table" then
            id = GetSelectedDisplayChannel();
        end
        old_ChannelRoster_Update(id)
    end

    Is this a correct fix?

    posted a message on browsing the svn?
    In the meantime I'm trying to figure out how to live without the webbrowser. I'm working with TortoiseSVN.

    How can I quickly get a diff of of a file of any revision compared to another revision. I only seem to be able to quickly compare my working copy to the current revision.
    The quickest way I've discovered is to checkout both revisions of the file, rename the files and run the diff manually on that.

    <edit> Found it. Select a file, and choose the Show Log option.

    Saroz, or who ever is mantaining this now. I've uploaded a fixed librescomm, which should fix the errors upon dying.

    As the package manager is no longer automaticly releasing new versions if just a library is updated I'm poking you.

    Thanks for pointing that out.

    Also hopefully did a correct fix of the WorldFrame hook.

    Hmm.. enabling the outgoing damage checkbox for the deathlog causes any incomming damage to show up twice.

    As request, clearing up the deathlog would be nice. It's pretty hard to read at the moment. Perhaps some color coding and nice ordering of the data?

    OK. ResComm_ResExpired(name) added for NORESSED. Credits to oRA2 for the hooks.

    Yes, they time out. Someone has to be afk for it to happen. It?s a border case tho and hardly breaking the usability of the lib. I?ll add it as soon as I get back to my game box.

    You?re right about not needing UNIT_HEALTH. I?m still wondering what use you have for those two functions?

    Why is NORESSED needed so badly? NORESSED is used for when the accept resurrection or use ankh/ss has been declined. The times it is used is very small, because who declines a res? I'll implent it tho.

    I can add those two functions. It would require registering for UNIT_HEALTH tho. And what you won't be able to do is listen for UNIT_DEATH and then expect those two functions to return the correct message right away, because you have to deal with latency. That's why I decided to go with callbackhandler events in the first place.

    Rebirth is implemented.

    I've removed LibStub and CBH.

    The addon loading the library should have them, but as GridStatusRes is dependant on Grid and Grid already has them they can be removed.

    LibStub and CBH should never be externals or in embeds.xml.

    Atleast thats how I understand the whole thing.

    Even your own SPELLCAST events are not ennough. You have to parse the "Corpse of" tooltip to get a resurrection target for someone who has released. So yes, a communication library is needed.

    I'll update the notes that one of those addons is needed to see information for other people.

    Hopefully with the release of LibResComm more mods will include the library. For example sRaidFrames is just parsing the messages but not sending, hopefully that will change.
