This is simply the best combat monitor addon I've ever used, and while I'm sure other similar addons such as Recount and Violation are nice as well, I haven't found anything that comes close to replacing Assessment for me so far.
Keep up the great work on this. I'm desperately awaiting an update on this for patch 2.4!

Mar 5, 2008Is the rangecheck function supposed to work only for the party and focus frames? My targets (hostile and friendly) show up as in range even though I've enabled rangecheck, and I've searched the forum trying to figure out whether that's normal or if I'm missing something.Posted in: Unit Frames
Mar 5, 2008Thanks for the quick reply! I've finished tuning my interface now, and it seems it doesn't occur if you use the 'default' border at least. Like I said, it doesn't really matter to me, but I thought it was odd, and worth making a post about (yes, I do in fact have alot of spare time). It doesn't produce any errors of any sort that I can see either, and the glow disappears when you click on the corresponding button.Posted in: General AddOns
Anyway, don't lose any sleep over it! :)
edit: Hm, strike that, the glow reappeared again after relogging, even with a border on the button.

I've posted in this thread before about this particular 'bug' (or whatever you'd call it), but I didn't get any replies that could help me in any way. The issue wasn't a big deal really, and it still isn't, but yesterday I reinstalled my wow as my addons were getting a bit jumbled up and I wanted to clean out my interface completely. So I grabbed all the addons I wanted to use, and installed, and when I logged on my warrior this same issue with the buttons appeared again. Which is the following: any unused button has a yellow glow around its borders, as if I'm channeling the spell the button is on (ie when you hearthstone, it'll have this yellow glow around its border when you're channeling it).
It looks like this:
Now again, it's not a big deal or anything, as I won't have any unused buttons in my interface anyway. But it seems really odd that it only occurs on my warrior, and it still happens after I've cleaned out the whole wow-directory. What makes it even more weird is the fact that the third button from the left on the bottom bar is unaffected, but all the others are.
Apologies if it's been mentioned before, but I really didn't feel like trawling through 147 pages to figure this one out. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Are you using button paging? I always see this exact same thing if I page to a bar that has an ability on a button, cast it and then immediately page to a bar that has that button as blank (usually my default bar). I haven't tried clicking the button with the the wrong glow (dare I call it the afterglow? ;) ). I usually just momentarily page back to the bar with the action on the button when I get a chance, which gets rid of it. As you say, it's more of an annoyance than a showstopper, which is why I haven't reported it myself.
Hm, not quite sure what you mean, but yeah I use paging for my stances. Think it was defaulted when I installed the addon tho, can't remember. The bars that gets the afterglow ( :D ) are not connected to any paging bars tho, so I don't think that's an issue really. I only see it when I log in, it doesn't occur while I play, or if I click on my bars / buttons.
Oct 24, 2007Browsed through most of the thread, but couldn't find anything similar, so here goes.Posted in: General AddOns
I got a somewhat insignificant, yet annoying bug, with my bars. All my unused buttons (on only one of my characters), have a glow around them, the sort you see when you're casting the action bound to the button. The glow disappears if I click it, so it's obviously not a big deal, but I'm a perfectionist, and I find it annoying :)
Looks like this:
Thanks in advance.
