Hoern, that actually already exists with [PercentHP < 10 ? Text(Die Scum) ! Text(Just a flesh wound)]. Uses ! instead of : since : is used for piping.

Color me redfaced. You know, I should really learn to RTFM.

[Alpha ? Bravo ! Charlie] could become [Alpha and Bravo else Charlie]

Along those lines, the one thing that would make me happy would be C-style selectors a la:

[Alpha ? Bravo : Charly] or, more to the point, [PercentHP < 10 ? "Die Scum" : "Just a flesh wound"]. This is more along the lines of cleaning up and styling my Cowtip tooltips than anything.

Since we have some Rogues in the guild who are using AutoBar I looked into the "can't lockpick" issue. Seems like Line 349 needs a slight change to

    local SPELL_PICK_LOCK = BS["Pick Lock"]

from BS["Lockpicking"] and this should work to open boxes on right-click and loot them on left click. This is for Revision 55463.

Meanwhile, please, do not let this post stop you from commenting.

Toadkiller, just a note to commend you on two things - the new Autobar and your calmness and reason in the face of a bunch of ... at least in my opinion ... quite exaggerated and unreasonable attacks.

Apart from that I see talent broadcasting as a much bigger privacy invasion, yes. So?

Your "privacy" is one armory-to-db.rb away from anyone's tooltips. Difference is, it's not immediate, it works cross-faction (which I personally am more interested in, no fun camping a badly specced and geared Alliance), and it eats memory on larger servers. Unlike Rock you don't have a choice. Heck, you don't even have a choice whether or not I download your gear and enchant/gem status right there with it.

    Choice is good.

Indeed. Yet to get upset or concerned about your "privacy" in a case where there is/was none and no such expectation existed and to use this as a hook to decry (or, in another case, remove a donation button) a framework, is counter-intuitive.

As it stands, right now, you're not gaining any more privacy and, unless I am misreading much of the code I apparently don't know, not an awful lot of functionality or stability going either way. Choice is good, choose your framework and AddOns. I won't dispute that, but I am frankly getting a bit tired of a non-issue being used to justify a particular choice.

By one key shifting do you mean press a bear button to become a bear no matter what form you are in? or press a 'travel' button to travel form/swim/mount no matter what form you are in? Because Blizzard did give us tools for that (recently anyway, before they didn't and I used an addon to achieve those results then).

If you're alluding to [stance:] tests and cancels of stance, it doesn't really matter how you do it. The sixteen lines that make the swiftshift code aren't that consuming, the announcements when shifting need to be gone, but there's people actually using it (sigh), and all else is more or less manabar code.

(/dbar best mode doesn't work right now, but there's something I want to try, especially when it comes to mount selection between Outland and Azeroth, travelform vs. flight form (FF is always better if OOC and no epic mount, in combat cast TF, if epic mount and standing still use flying mount or epic depending on, if moving cast FF)

I'm basically tearing all the mana functions out into GroveLib for anyone to peruse, ditch the config screens in favor of a FuBar/Minimap menu, will make SwiftShift an optional addon, and get rid of the announcements. That's in the future, though :)

    2) Figure out how to create a whole new druidbar that includes the same fonts/colors/textures as aguf so that it can be easily made to look like its part of aguf

Man, o man. If 1/3rd of the energy complaining about unresponsiveness...

anyhow. Let's just be a bit curious here, shall we? And open the DruidBar config menu (called forth from the nethers via /dbar). Below all else we find two input boxes, one to set the bar texture, one to set the border. For bar, since my aguf uses the "striped" bar look, I chose Interface\AddOns\oRA2\Textures\striped.tga. For border use the one it comes with. Change the bar color to your preferred mana color, the border color (if you have borders enabled) to your aguf border color, enable "Custom", drag it underneath your player unit frame, size it, lock it, enable "Hide when in Caster Form" and number displays to your linking, done.

What results is a DruidBar that seamlessly integrates into the aguf look (for a very long time I was using flatsmooth and no borders, it looked even better that way).

Just because it isn't Ace2 doesn't mean it sucks. One-key shifting and a mana bar is stuff that Blizzard should have give us, but alas they didn't. dbar solves those two issues admirably, and while I admit to working on an Ace2 version for the time being dbar suffices and makes me happy.

Sorry, I have to ask. Did you just post a screenshot of a screenshot? So, in other words, did you just recurse down the rabbit hole fast enough to meet Kevin Bacon somehwere at the end? This is so meta, I like it.

The word is that it's still in the very very early stages, as the Flexbar team is still figuring out that they will be able to include.

I think of the three members of the Flexbar team (myself, Dagar, and cncfanatics), only one (me) has been in the Alpha, and only two (cnc, me) are in the beta. Since I stopped working on FB and started AceBar, this means cnc's beta time is the limiting factor, now.

From what I've seen from my first few stabs, most of the mystical magic of Flexbar will be unavailable (conditional buttons in combat, switching on gain buff (prowl, shadowform), and some other stuff). What's beautiful about the new approach, though, is that we're finally getting rid of the more than archaic frame system and can introduce per-button menus, for example, that allow the GUI based management of those.

I've been a heavy UI modder since day one of release and have gone from using GypsyMod to using FlexBar to using Discord.

I believe the new maintainer of Flexbar (him and I didn't see eye to eye and since Dagar holds the ultimate decision making power and seemed more comfortable with the new guy than me, I left the project after 1.12) is having a preliminary version of Ace2 available. Come TBC both Flexbar2 and my partly Flexbar-inspired but mostly newly written Action Bar replacement should be full Ace2 addons.
