I think he is actually referring to ease of use and actual game play efficiency, not addon memory and all that garb
The reason I use uF addons is because I need them in the center of my screen or I will not pay attention to them. I also like the make the health and mana bar much bigger so they are easier to glance at. Coloring the frames by class is nice too because if I have an arena team of a druid and a rogue I can easily tell them apart without reading a name.
My favorite uF addon is ag_UF because it is amazingly easy to set up and does everything I want it to
I love Trillian. It is the only program I know that has docking and auto-hide. And I tried astra and it was amazing. Still waiting for my account to clear so I can use it.
Anyway
My AMD Athalon 64 4000+ and ATI Radeon 850 GT run WoW windowed at a constant 50+ fps (including raids). It only drops when I let Auctioneer do its thing.
My suggestion is to take a look at background processes. i know in my Windows it shipped with about 50+ running processes and after a full install of all the software I needed it jumped to about 70. After I re-examined what I needed, made an nLite cd of windows and stripped all unnessecary services I got it to around 31 with only 2 programs on startup and about 12 services. Cut down on total CPU usage by ~40%
Man, you guys all fail at reading comprehension. :p
The OP wants an addon that shows buffs missing only on himself. He doesn't care what buffs anyone else has or doesn't have. He doesn't want to be reminded to cast his own buff spells on himself or anyone else. He wants to see what buff spells he could have on him, but doesn't. For example, if he is a warlock, and he doesn't have either Arcane Intellect or Arcane Brilliance, and there is a mage in the raid, he wants to see that he's missing an intellect buff.
I'mm pretty sure that is exactly what this does... unless I am retarded
Actually I believe that this is a real problem because there was another thread about it that said reverting to the old talent.lua file made it work again
I took out the -ace2- stuff, but if you look at my commit notes they are sarcastic in nature. I think the whole topic is stupid, and I'd be happy with or without the tags myself.
I just was doing it so people would stop their little holy wars. I'm sure I could make it an option too.
