    posted a message on Inexplicable SetAlpha / UIFrameFadeIn hell
    Bah...in typical fashion, I managed to find something that worked about 3 minutes after wasting site bandwidth on a post.

    It's pretty ugly, though. I'm guessing there's some kind of odd inner workings with UIFrameFadeIn that's causing the issue.

    local function UpdateRunes(...)
    	local runeID = ...
    	if runeID <= 6 then
    		local start, duration, runeReady = GetRuneCooldown(runeID)
    		if runeReady == true then
    			runes[runeID]:SetAlpha(1)
    			UIFrameFadeIn(runes[runeID], 0, 1, 1)
    		end
    		if runeReady == false and (runes[runeID]:GetAlpha()) >= 1 then
    			UIFrameFadeIn(runes[runeID], (start+duration-GetTime())-0.1, 0, 0.6)
    		end
    	end
    end

    Still just as confused, but (so far) this is working.

    In the interest of keeping things concise, I'm going to try to keep this as simple as possible.

    I've got six frames for DK runes in table runes[1-6].

    I've got this function, which is ran every time RUNE_POWER_UPDATE fires:

    local function UpdateRunes(...)
    	local runeID = ...
    	if runeID <= 6 then
    		local start, duration, runeReady = GetRuneCooldown(runeID)
    		if runeReady == true then
    			runes[runeID]:SetAlpha(1)
    				if runes[runeID]:GetAlpha() < 1 then
    					print(runeID .. " - ERROR: AAAAHHHHH!!!! - " .. runes[runeID]:GetAlpha())
    				end
    			end
    		if runeReady == false and (runes[runeID]:GetAlpha()) >= 1 then
    			UIFrameFadeIn(runes[runeID], (start+duration-GetTime())-0.1, 0, 0.6)
    		end
    	end
    end

    That error never fires, but I'm having frames randomly not being at full alpha. If I toss a print function in there to print their current alpha, it comes out as a more-than-1 number (something like 1.000000000384). Then to further add to confusion, when these corresponding runes are used (triggering the runeReady == false part of the function), they don't trigger the UIFrameFadeIn function (as if their alpha is >= 1).

    Making this even more strange is the fact that this very function worked perfectly fine pre-4.0.

    I'm officially stumped. Any ideas?

    :confused:

    posted a message on Waiting on Project
    Figured it'd be better to put this here than starting a new thread, as this one's still on the front page.

    Right now my first addon project has been waiting for approval for 16+ hours. During this time I've seen one other new addon approved, and a handful of updates approved (maybe 10). Not saying that mine "should've been approved by now" or anything, just stating my observations.

    What would you say is a realistic "boundary" on approval wait times before it would be considered prudent to contact someone about it? I don't want to complain by any stretch, but I am somewhat perplexed by the (seemingly to me) very long wait.

    2.0.6beta (r127). It's been an ongoing issue for the last couple of versions; I've just now gotten around to making a Curse acct. and reporting it.

    I just now noticed there's a 2.0.7beta up. I'll give it a go in a bit and let you know how it goes.

    /facepalm

    I discovered the cause of the issue (I think)...it seems to only happen if I have AVR disabled in the in-game config (/avr menu). Why I had it disabled I have no idea.

    I feel pretty stupid right about now. :oops:
