ver 2.0 of my very first UI attempt (and its dual screens. yowza).
    http://www.wegame.com/view/WoWScrnShot_061709_215601/

for a 2.0 vers of a 1st time effort, I cant say Im unhappy, but I sure wish I could eliminate that bottom mess and make crisper frames. I love Pitbull, but is it just me, or is its frames sort of 'soft around the edges' ? Or is it my video settings?

I haven't used Pitbull in ages, however if you have your video resolution set to anything other than 1x multisampling, that may be the culprit for the "soft around the edges." With 1x, you should be able to have crisp lines, for example when using a 1 pixel wide line, or pixel fonts. Aside from this, I have no other guess.

For the "bottom mess" you mention; if you know the keybindings, could you perhaps hide the numbers? This may add to a neater appearance.

Were you to make the bottom pannel higher, you could obviously increase the chat box's side, however you may be blocking out too much screen. Trying different fonts may help with number of lines, but it'd be a matter of finding a font that scales well, and having it set to a possibly smaller size.

sorry about the oversized image in page 1011. I replaced with a url link. Please look at it if you have time, and offer some critiques. I dont know how to produce a list of all addons, but I added what I thought were key ones on that post.

    Hey there!

It's a bit hard to see your UI in detail because unfortunately, hosting with Photobucket results in resized images sometimes. You may want to check out other file hosting sites (a variety are used by folks for this thread) so that others can see better.

As per your UI, it looks very functional. (Dual monitors for info overload!) :) Past that, I can't say much since it is a bit hard for me to pick out individual elements.

I've been using Ellipsis for tracking my DoTs in combination with EventAlert for things like Nightfall and newly supported Glyph of Life Tap.

Cellular has tabbed conversations; just make sure you have a recent version of the addon and make sure to check off that option. I use Cellular and can verify that the tabbed option works well; I only have 1 additional window that can hold X many conversations. All I do is click on the whisperer's name and Cellular switches to display that conversation.

I've been looking for a good quest tracker too - Fux is a nice one but it hasn't been working for me.

For nameplates, you may want to check out Nameplates Modifier. It seems to have fewer features than Aloft, though.

There are so many that will customize the zone map - some are minimal (may only resize and add co-ordinates) and others are more feature-intensive. I'd reccomend Mapster and Cromulent,

We all know how wonderfully fabulous an Undead male looks while wearing that black dress. So you see, it makes perfect sense in WoW-logic why the achievement is not gender-specific! XD

It seems to me (or at least I'm hoping) that the dress drop-rate has been upped, but I've run into achievement glitches so I'm really not too happy with the event so far.

I don't even have an option for x8, so I cannot test how much good the following would do for such a high multisampling setting. However, I had found this article in the past; take a look at the Doodad Alpha section and see if that may help.

    http://blog.danielgovier.com/?page_id=362

I should note that the Ambient Lighting section has spawned an addon by the name of "Moonshine". I'm not sure if the blog's author is the addon's author, but it's out there on wowinterface.com.

ahmm how the heck do you turn off multi :P i dont see an off switch lol

I may be wrong, but I think that "off" is akin to setting Multisampling to "1x" of whatever color/depth you use. I've never found an "off" either, though I have read people saying "turn multisampling off".

Trying something new with Recount and Omen..

Still very WIP, feedback about colours and positioning would be nice. :)

What font have you used for Recount/Omen/UF? It'll be interesting to see the final product!

That would be nClock, damned increase in people using nClock :-(

I really wish I understood why this is said, and in what way you mean it. Unfortunately, I'm no mind-reader (internet-psychic?) and all I can think is, "Hey, nClock seems interesting, let's check it out."

I'd thank you, but seems like you'd probably scowl for another person possibly (goodness forbid) testing it out.

If you're not prepared or willing to share (as I get the impression from you damning people and using :-( ), then perhaps you should only use this thread for inspiration, and not for posting as you will receive input, questions and comments.

Seerah! *waves* I post as Sec on WoWInterface. XD I am happy to say that since you moved the health bar under the tooltip, I've had absolutely no problems at all with the way TipTop and flagRSP works.

The minimap is actually pMinimap. All I did to it was increase the scale to 1.1 and the tracking has been hidden by NefTracking.

    What font on tooltips?

Custom font used for just about everything I could change is called C&C Red Alert. As it is a pixel font, plenty of special characters are not supported. I've been trying to edit this font but haven't had much luck since I'm having trouble figuring out FontForge.

Had a post come up on my server's forums asking about UIs. So, here's what I'm currently using. It is likely to change as I'm using an outdated oUF Caellian and I'm not sure if I'll be using the newest version. There are some elements that I'm firm on, but suggestions are welcome. ^^" If curious, I can provide a list of addons and all that jazz. XD

posted a message on Razer keyboards and mice
Microsoft Intellimouse is what I've used for 4 years. It has 5 playable buttons, which I make use of via btn:x macro assignments. I used to use keyboard modifiers but now I can keep a hand on the mouse and one on the keyboard which I find a bit easier. I may switch back if/when I get to raiding.

Overall, I am satisfied with this mouse; my only gripe is that the underside pads have lost their sleekness. I might be able to replace them, but this is a normal wear and tear issue that doesn't drive me nuts.

Microsoft Multimedia keyboard. I've had no problem with this keyboard after owning it for 4 years. No keys stick, the paint hasn't worn off of the keys and the wrist rest hasn't broken off. I'd love for this to have lighted keys, but I'm overall satisfied.

No worries, Moon Witch. I have looked high and low, for 3 years now, and there has been no addon to fit the bill. It's like using Titan Panel, thinking that there is a FuBar out there... except there isn't.

Aside, back to framerates and hardware... Black Friday and Boxing Day are looming closer! I'd love to catch a sale or two this year for hardware purchases.

    Also,

/em bashes head against easy button and magically gets 100 more fps in World of Warcraft.

('cause, you know, one can only do so much to keep a computer running smoothly aside from upgrading it.)

Oh, also, I'm surprised nobody has (recently?) mentioned running the game on minimum settings, even going so far as to run macros for lowering settings.

    What does FlagRSP2 do?

    No, thank you. XD

I will keep this short because I don't want to derail this thread (any further than I may have already D:). In short, FlagRSP2 (along with FlagRSP, MyRolePlay (MRP) and Immersion RP (IRP) allow a user to provide textual descriptions of their characters to expand on a character where Blizzard's character customization falls short.

These descriptions are displayed via a tooltip or window frame. These addons all try to get along so a FlagRSP2 user could see a MRP user's description for example. In doing so, they all use the same communication method (chat channel :S)

An example of forward thinking in RP addons goes would be to look at how Lore transfers data and compare it to how the newly developed Tongues does. I'm not sure if SendAddonMessage would work for an addon like FlagRSP2.

To further note, OrionShock had started a RP addon project but ended it . There is a thread floating around here if you are interested in reading a bit further.
